Easy and fully expected victory, cruising. Now Seville away, that’s another cook

It was a solid performance after a sickening game mid-week. Most of the starting XI performed well. Even Maguire regained his composure after a torrid first 20 minutes. In terms of room for improvement, it would be nice to kill teams off earlier in the game

We rode our luck on a few crosses but overall dominated the game and should have been a clear 3/4 goal win

Let's be honest Forest were weak opponents and we were wasteful in front of goal again.
Good result.Anthony,Eriksen & Lindelof were decent. We'll need Rashford and Varane back for the next two games if we want to progress.

Relieved to get the three points. We were far from clinical in attack and ropey in defence. Fortunately we were playing Forest, which let us get away with it.

Critical win. A glimmer of hope for Top 4.

Glimmer of hope? It would have to go very wrong now for us to lose out on top 4, especially considering the relatively easy fixtures we have left. Six points clear of 5th with a game in hand, and it's Spurs so they're likely to stumble at least once more along the way.

We were a tad unlucky with Navas today. I felt that Pickford's performance was slightly overblown but on this occasion it was more a case of excellent goalkeeping than dodgy finishing and camera saves.

Navas is a class act anyway and it's slightly sad that he's playing at Forest. He's probably actively thinking about his options and if there are any better Prem clubs where he can still have a decent payday.

This. I just can't see any other team behind us, than Newcastle reaching 70 points. Spurs need 17 points in 7 games, Villa will need to win their remaining games and Brighton need to win 7 out of 9 remaining games. I just can't see any of it happening. So for us, it's quite simple: Win 3 and draw 2 of our last 8 games and we should be safe

Great win and up to 3rd 3 points clear. A lot of good performances and Bruno MOTM. Wegworst surely has something on TH as its like playing with 10 men when he is on.

It's tricky

Spurs are playing Newcastly away next weekend - they could be 6 points behind us with 2 matches more played. Villa are too far behind (9 points and a game more played) - and Brighton have some awful fixtures left to play.

Is there really a need to diss Maguire all the time? He recovered fine but no, let’s just call him all sorts of names because he’s Maguire.

As long as we can play this kind of football we will be okay. Might not be enough to get past Sevilla on Thursday, and we will drop some points in PL but top 4 should not be in danger as long as Bruno, Eriksen and Casemiro stays fit and Weghorst is kept on the bench

Sorry but that is a stupid thing to say. Why is there a huge gap for Dalot to run into ? Because Weghorst with his run pulls 2 defenders out of position.

Forest tried to press high and couldn't pull it off, ended up being played through in the middle constantly. Unbelievable that Cooper didn't make an adjustment, but that presented Eriksen and Bruno with the opportunity to have a field day, which they took. Bruno especially was exceptional, Eriksen also great. Antony, Martial and Lindelof also very good, in both halves. Wan-Bissaka also consistently solid.

Then there were the up-and-downers. Dalot with a weak first half, including a couple of "ouch"-level defensive mishaps - then stood up grandly in the second, playing with drive and confidence. Casemiro, which I thought looked uncharacteristically merely-okay against Sevilla and started slow again today, but just got better the longer the game went on. Sancho - almost as horrible in the first half as he was in that stinker against Sevilla, but then had a really good second half. Of course, it'd be a pretty bleak outlook if he wasn't able to make something of the circumstances he was presented with in this game.

Almost comically bad cameo for Weghorst, who succeded with almost nothing and was lucky indeed to escape the red. And Maguire - I had hope after a strong half against Sevilla, but here he was back to being a liability again. Quite a bit better in the second than the first, but overall a weak performance.

Dominant performance. Feels like we've bossed them everytime we've played them this season. Other than Maguire's dodgy first 15 minutes everyone played pretty well, even Harry himself played a lot better after that. Bruno and Antony were both brilliant and if Eriksen can play like that on Thursday then we have a great chance.

Great performance. Should have scored more. Maguire improved after a poor start which was good. Midfield dominated, but our wingers especially Sancho today need to make better decisions, and come inside when the ball is on the other side.

Agree with all the positive posts but want to add a mention for AWB. He now seems much more interested in taking the ball forward and is linking well with Antony.
Martial again showed his skill on the ball and needs to regain some match fitmess and confidence. Whether he will get the time remains to be seen -- injury always seems to be lurking round the corner.

Regardless of our deserved victory, I'm getting sick and fed up of matches being refereed as this was today. Maguire gets carded for holding on to a player at the start of the match - fair enough, but then Forest are pulling and pushing Sancho and Antony evey time they're on the ball. Occasionally we'll get a free kick but where's the yellow cards? So they're free to carry on fouling as if their lives depend on it.

Very good performance, 2-0 flattered Forest.
Bruno epic. Anthony decent, Erikson controlled.
Maguire had a shakey start but did better after 30 minutes.Shout out to lindelof, hardly played and did well.
Back to third.

What?!

We’re 6 points clear of 5th with a game in hand and 4th playing 5th next week so more dropped points from one or both of them.

In the race for 4th I wouldn’t swap our current position with anybody else.

Great win, better performance than I expected:

DDG 6 - never threatened
AWB 7 - good link up with Antony, good defending as usual
Lindelof 7 - won a few key tackles and headers, good passing at the back too.
Maguire 6 - nevy start, getting better as the match go on, won a few headers in the box.
Dalot 8 - good run of his goal, lucky to escape the brainfart moment in the end of the first half, he can be play even better I think

Cas 6 - tidy performance, a great cross for Martial but he miss it, he and Eriksen clam the team down
Eriksen 6 - same, great cross for Bruno, always looking for space to receive passes, both Mct and Fred need to learn from him.
Bruno 9 - Could have score 2 or 3 goals, killer pass to Martial for the first goal, and a few pass out of press to start a quick counter, no one in the team can do the same, it is a shame that he is suspensed for 2nd leg.

Sancho 6 - looks like he lost his confidence again, but he still can cause chaos in opp box, can be vital vs Seville.
Antony 9 - 1 goal 1 assist, good control of the ball, link up well with AWB, dominant the right hand side and create so much trouble for Forest.
Martial 7 - good game, getting sharper and he need to get even better if we are to win the Facup and Europa.

This teams will lost more points. We are 6 clear from Spurs with a game in hand, easier teams to play and 8 games to go ! It’s too much to climb. It’s not a title race, the teams below us are more inconsistent then us.

not so much. Spurs have also played a game more. In context, we need Spurs to win 3 more games than us to overtake us in 7 games!

with 1 head to head, they need to find 2 more wins than us

this can get wrapped up in a couple of games. If we win the next 2, I think ten hag can start resting players for the PL. that would be his goal so we can get some focus into the cup games
