Can someone tell the numbers of passes made before the Bruno chance which he missed? Seemed like a great slow burn build up across the pitch.

EDIT: It was the Amad headed chance actually - 38 passes.

Superb response in the second half. Basically squeezed the life out of City's attack and just kept going till the end.

Absolutely MONSTROUS performances from Amad and Ugarte.

Ratings are so funny  Mount avg 5.0 for getting himself injured after 10minutes.

Great result. Performance alright, but nothing more. Should have been a dull 0:0 seeing neither us nor City not being able to create anything of note. First we gift them the lead, then they gift two goals back. Awesome result for confidence

City management to Pep: tell me what it takes to win! We will do anything.
Pep: Amad Diallo

Felt that Neville was unduly harsh on us. I actually felt our performance in the second half by and large merited something - we were by far the better side.

I agree, I think we looked better than city in the second half. We just need to start creating more opportunities.

We were the better team but toothless.
I was surprised the players found it in them to win the game. Get the feck in.

I admittedly only watched from the 60th minute but in that time Ugarte was massive. Mainoo was also very good.

What an excellent game from Amad. Huge performance and MotM. Kudos for Bruno for scoring such an important penalty as well.

Meanwhile lazy and Messi from temu remained home

Agree. We were solid throughout. Kept the ball much better than before.
They got a jammy deflection on the cross for their goal with the ball landing perfectly on your man's head.
Ugarte was great again.

Amad obviously motm but Martinez a close second, he was great with his passing from the back today.

Dalot and Bruno shockingly poor but I'll let it slide this time.

Really good second half, unlike the Arsenal game we step up to get a lot more touches in the box and actually had more with better chances.

First half was genuinely as poor as I can remember us. City are being beaten left right and center and we had less threat going forward against them than relegation teams. We went into the break 1-0 down and deserved to be behind

2nd half we were a bit more brave with the ball. Lisandro was constantly playing forward passes and a couple cross field passes. Ugarte was trying to find some slightly more creative solutions when pressed in midfield too. But the main difference was that in the first half Amad was getting himself caught offside trying to make runs in behind, in the 2nd half he was able to get the ball into his feet more and had some positivity to run at players and try to make something happen which wasnt the case with our other players. He made his own luck for the Nunes backpass because he's one of our best at pressing and trying to win the ball from attacking areas and he took the couple of chances he had in the 2nd half to get us some points. Credit to him. Also the great pass from Lisandro to put him in for the winner.

Thought they were crap
We were slightly better
Amad a class above
feck EtH for no playing him as well

Yes, please! Kept the high intensity from start to finish. Amad great! Harry bullied Haaland the entire match. Ugarte great as well. Will be very interesting to hear why Nacho and Rashy were dropped, but it looks like we’re in for a massive change of culture. That’s very positive going forward.

Get in!

As close to a perfect managerial performance you'll ever see. We conceded quite unfortunately through a deflected cross, should have had a penalty, and Walker was lucky not to be sent off.

They had no major chances, we controlled the game to the best of our ability and deserve the 3 points.

Thoughts and prayers for Gary Neville, must be gutted.

Bruno Fernandes missed a clear 1v1. It's something of note

Maz and Ugarte were briliant… Amad unbelievable!!

Walker can feck off!

Draw would have been a fair result but I do think we were the better team. City are as poor as they have ever been in their oil era but always great to win the derby. Happy Christmas, Reds.

In a really poor game, I thought we were the better side tbh.

City are in big, big trouble. They’re awful

The biggest thing that pleases me, is getting a result on the back of dropping Rashford and Garnacho, and a young player who gives his all being the star of the show. It’s a turning point for the future of this team.

Amorim and Amad have been wonderful today.

The narrative on Sky is that City were cruising. It's frustrating me more than it should considering we just won.

They scored a lucky goal and barely had a chance. Meanwhile we were denied another penalty and missed an absolute sitter. We were poor, but City were utter gash.

City management to Pep: tell me what it takes to win! We will do anything.
Pep: Amad Diallo

LOT of positives today. Diallo never stop working. Ugarte dominant. Central back formation great.

Feels fantastic. Oh to witness those salty tears of St Pep! I think we deserved to win, had far more in dangerous areas but for dumb choice of forward passing.

Amad...what can I say, right our player of the season so far and another black mark agai st ETH. I hope, really hope, the players can use this as a platform to understand what Amorim wants them to do and improve on their individual mentality because we have lost games, rather gifted games to opp, and woukd comfortably be sitting top 3 right now otherwise.

Special mention to Ugarte, was excellent and exactly what we needed in a 6 position.
