We're bloody hard to beat.... Next season with some additions is looking good.

Jesus wasn't at the club at that point.
Toure and Kompany are players on the way out of the club.

At least four of the players I mentioned would have been in the starting line-up on most occasions.
I'll give you Jesus, but clearly Kompany is our best defender, and Toure has played most of the season & been very good. Whatever way you want to spin it City very clearly had a weakened team out; only 6 of todays line up started the game against you at Old Trafford; and you had a full strength squad/team as far as I'm aware (?).

Just making the point that it's clearly down to the manager - Jose will naturally do this away to rivals; whereas Pep will go for it no matter what. Not wading in on which I think is better, it's just preference I guess.

Take the point.

As good as we were defensively, City didn't look particularly at it.

Fellaini, if you're going to commit to headbutting someone... actually headbutt them - floor them, don't let them fall of their own accord.

Canny, but embarrassing from Aguero. Their both tossers.
Good point.

What's the record league unbeaten run? (Apart from the invincibles, obviously)

Great post.

Reckon United and city will have the title fight next season that most people thought we'd have this season.

Big summers ahead for both managers.

To be honest with a bit of luck, better finishing and both of us not being on the receiving end of horrid decisions we could both be right in the mix this year.
Big summer ahead, I feel we probably need one or two more than ye. For you guys a striker, a 3rd mid to replace Carrick and maybe a CB. We need 4 new fullbacks and a DMC.
Oh and an actual goalkeeper whose not a cardboard cut out.

Barely any attacking threat throughout the match. Mkhi and Martial were playing as wing backs. Rashford had no service whatsover. Fellaini again showing his idiocy. Bailly was our best player. This match showed how important Pogba is for us.

Mikhi and Martial were the worst players today and it had nothing to do with where they played.

Good post though. Almost zero attacking threat.

Alot of the heat has gone out of the derby and Pep and Jose's re-found love is kind of boring and not at all how both sets of fans were hoping it would play out.

They both took the fun out of it again.

Games like this utd need midfielders that are good on the ball and pass with quality. Fcuk fellaini what the actual fcuk is he all about fml

Somebody has cursed us.

Fosu-Mensah injury
Mourinho has said post match that Timothy Fosu-Mensah sustained a serious injury at the end - a dislocated shoulder.

it was too sudden and that was fellani's man but he should of never been matched up in the penalty box with Kompany. Literally, a man and a boy. Kompany took advantage of the situation and ran him to the ground.

Aye, it's a decent point for you guys, still think it suits us more though. Fairly typical Mourinho mindset against a rival away from home, shouldn't really be a surprise.

Or Zlatan could've been sent off for splitting Otamendi's head open with an elbow..? Not quite sure what your point is; that a debatable decision didn't go United's way & that's why a much weakened City team dominated at Old Trafford?

I'm not being a dick, you guys clearly set up for a draw today, wasn't the fault of a weakened team, was tactical by the manager.

My point is that that's a very valid excuse. The game would've been so much different had we had at least Rojo and Pogba in the lineup. The way we set up today, playing deep and hoping for a Marcus counter was mainly because we lacked Rojo's strength and pace at the back and Pogba to control the midfield.

It's clear we wanted to catch them on the break but lacked the personnel to do it effectively. Pogba or Mata would have made a massive difference in that department so with that in mind, I don't consider it a bad result at all, especially in the context of the rest of the campaign.

A point away to City is an acceptable result even without consider we didn't have Zlatan, Mata, Pogba, Jones and Smalling + immense fatigue.

Fellaini was stupid and his stupidity will cost us big time. Jose is now forced to play Herrera and Carrick in every league (or throw in some youngsters/Rooney). Wouldn't be surprised if they get injured from fatigue. Bet Jose regrets selling BFS now.

I think we are looking more and more like a Mourinho side. If we add some more individual quality in attack and develop our movement and passing we could be a real force next season.

For the American posters, Fellaini's "headbutt" was the equivalent of James Harden hooking the defender's arm while wildly flinging up a shot in the 3pt area and getting free throws for it. Aguero's head started coming up in his face while Fellaini moved down towards him. Is he just supposed to let the cheating b***h get in his face? Maybe, but easier said than done when he's intentionally trying to bait him. Can't believe how many ungrateful people turn on Fellaini after many good performances this season. Not saying we should settle for him, but he's a good squad player who's showed a lot of passion for the team.

How many times does he have to screw up though. He isn't good enough when he is good to make up for all the howler brain farts

Good defensive performance, but we were lucky. Fellaini being a liability again. Mkhitaryan was garbage.
Defence did their job well.

Point gained, but I'd have taken that irregardless of the performance at the start of the match. We lacked serious creativity today.

Mikhi and Martial were the worst players today and it had nothing to do with where they played.

Good post though. Almost zero attacking threat.

They never make the runs , even if they do fellani would never find them and pass safe

Trying very hard to be calm and objective, With all the shit going on with injuries and amount of games to be played. I have to say that I am still disappointed.
Fellaini seriously needs to be laid down and have every one of his team mates kick him, as hard as they can, in the groin region.
This should def happen

Games like this utd need midfielders that are good on the ball and pass with quality not a stupid tree. Fellaini should be sold asap or just stick him upfront and play long ball up to him, that's the only thing he is can be used for.
How come did we pass better and score 4 goals with that very same midfield against them two years ago? We never played with less control against them as far as I can remember and some of those midfields included bloody Cleverley. Can we please stop with this narrative that it was the injuries that forced Mourinho to this approach? You'd think he started managing last year and we have no idea how he is usually like.

Miki, Martial & Fellaini were poor throughout, hardly stringing a pass together, even before dopey's sending off.

Poor to non existent (second half) going forward.
Machines defensively.
Definitely a point gained and it's still in our hands.
We missed Pogba tonight, felt for Rashford chasing aimless long balls all night.

We're bloody hard to beat.... Next season with some additions is looking good.

Absolutely spot on. That's what I like about this team. That's why I think we will do better in Europe than any other English side. We can play for a result. We've played against two of the best teams in PL and barely had a clear chance of scoring against us.

Still undefeated!
Would have taken a 0-0 before the game so happy with that. Hopefully no injuries and I guess Fellaini will be fresh for Europe
How long will he be out?

Also can we have a gif of the Man City fans reaction to the offside goal?
That's a decent idea. You should tag the Gifted One for such requests (@GifLord ).

We restricted city to long range pot shots.
Aguero had the only proper chance when he hit the post.

Herrera had an equally good chance for us.

The offside disallowed goal came after we went down to ten men.

United fans who didn't like that performance would be raving about it had we stolen a 0-1 win and played exactly the same.

Mixed emotions.

The way we started, I thought we were up for this in an attacking way, some very controlled football, if not bums off seats entertaining.

I'll give Jose credit for this tbf. We started really well, and his game plan was obviously working for 20 minutes, but once they figured it out, due to our injuries, we had literally no one to bring on to counter-counter. So I can kinda understand why he didn't change it for ages, but it was incredibly frustrating knowing we had no choice but to park the bus for an entire hour.

I expected us to come for the second half prepped to get our groove back...but no, we just basically gave up and doubled down on the bus.

Really? How come? :)
Oh don't get cheeky now.:p
In any case, I would take this 0-0 defensive display anyday now having been through the embarassment of losing to City on Munich anniversary. Hell, this 0-0 would have won us the league in that Aguero QPR season too. Pleased with today's game. It's a good result.
