Width on right wing, width on right wing, Width on the right wing...

someone has to fecking identify there is pace required on right side when we recover the ball. Our right side offers feck all and we have to wait months for Valencia to drive forward and Herrera/Mata to join him.
Mkhitaryan is supposed to be occupying that position yet he's never there.....

Someone on here actually said we have the best midfield in the league. Laughable.

Back to the drawing board it seems...

It's clear as daylight that our midfield has lost its engine since Pogba and Herrera have been run to the ground and, as a consequence, whatever positives we could reap from them playing a few yards further up the pitch with the 433 are not there anymore. No high pressing, no collecting second/loose balls (and staying high up the pitch), no creation from in between the lines and Zlatan getting less touches on the ball.

You can blame the team selection, the subs or the opposition keeper but the real problem lies in the midfield area again. We need to find a way to inject some energy into it again or, if we can't find a way to do that, we must work a way around this problem with some tactical interventions from the manager.

Think we should look at giving the Europa League a real go because this constant dropping of points is mental. Dunno what's happening with the wastefulness in front of goal but alas it seems like it will come back to bite us in the arse again a few times before the season is done

We play like a team that just stretches for a bit and plays keepy uppy for a bit at training then goes home.

When are people going to realise Herrera isn't good enough?
Would be nice to have other players around him to at least put out his level of performances and commitment before we think about changing herrera. Him and Valencia are the only two constants this season who almost never let us down.

Martial should have started, bring Rashford on with half an hour left to blitz them if we're still not winning. Our inability to score is absolutely mind boggling, I've never seen a team struggle so much.

People are overreacting. Tomorrow they'll be all right.

But it's worrying stuff.

We're in full meltdown mode again. Think I'll call it a night and come lurk tomorrow instead.

The subs were woeful, a bit reminiscent of LVG who never could make the right subs.

I genuinely want to hear how Jose justifies his Rooney instead of Martial sub.
I'm also trying really hard not to go into full drama queen mode but it's not easy. We blew a huge chance to get some points but instead, we join the bottlers.

This one's well on Jose. And even though ref had a nightmare, I don't care - Hull is on 20th place and we played them at home. You don't have to be Einstein to know who he'll blame this upon, but he'll say "no comments" because he'd probably get banned again.

Extremely angry with Jose at the moment. Hopefully we'll pick ut up but that was utter bullcrap. And FFS, get a quality striker in the summer.

fecking awful.

I'm not having it that there were goalkeeper heroics, there were not.
I would've liked to have seen Martial, but I don't know why everyone is acting like he would've been the saviour of the game, and pulled everyone else along with him? He is not that. And there's clearly something going on with him. I doubt he has the attitude we need right now.

We're clearly lacking in quality. The technique isn't there in a decent amount of the team. Enough of them that it means we play at their level, and not at the level of those that are better.

Everyone buzzes over Valencia, but he rarely seems to actually do anything useful. The caf is very impressed by anyone that runs at a defender these days, even if they're then so close to them that they can't get the ball past them.
Rashford is still a youngster and should be being fed into the team, not relied on. This position drastically needs sorting out in the summer.
Rooney is dire. I feel like his presence brings the whole team down. It seems they lapse into an even worse state by following his lead.

One thing I don't understand is: Why are our supposedly pacey players always being outrun, and why are our supposedly strong players always being outmuscled?

Prove it. Prove we're better beyond your personal anecdote.
Eh? What a weird post. How am I supposed to prove an opinion?

But honestly, don´t you remember the awful 70% possesion and three shots on goal matches? Every other game it felt like.

Too many games where we dont turn up first half. Too many games where we leave it late. Too many games where the opposition goaly has a man of the match performance. Getting fed up at this stage.

Win the carling and the europa and bring on next season.

I feel like shit. One step forward and two fecking steps back.

First half was awful. We can't always think we're going to step up the pace in the second half and get a goal. We should be at it from the off. That's the reason we didn't win. For some reason, people in our team think it's ok to play in second gear because we're playing against Hull. Not fecking good enough, especially from a team searching for that top four spot.

That said, based on the second half, we should have won the game. We had two clear cut chances in Rashford and Mata's chance. It's just a shame that every keeper that seems to come to O.T has a fecking worldy all the time.

Despite us creating chances, I do think we introduced the wrong players; however. To me, this wasn't a game for Mata or Rooney, albeit the former nearly getting on the scoresheet.

Hull were very compact. We needed pace and width. We had to move the ball across the pitch. Stretch them and tire them out. Everything we did was very short. It was easy for Hull to move across as a team. Very predictable, at times, and our only outlet was Valencia, and maybe Rashford at times. Was very confused as to why Martial, or even Lingard weren't used. Not saying I know better than Mourinho, but to me, it's not rocket science to have pace and width against a very compact team. I mean, even when we tried to counter we couldn't. There was an example when Mata had the ball, where we could have possibly countered and he turned back. 1) because he didn't have the pace to run with it like say a Martial would do 2) because he had Rooney and Ibra ahead of him.

Really really pissed off. That was yet another game we should be walking away with three points, yet we always find a way of fecking things up.

and f.a cup

Pogba simply cannot be allowed to act like this any longer. He can start doing fun things when he earns his money. He's stealing from fans.

How can you not give Niasse a second yellow for either of those challenges, it's bullshit and if it was one of our players they would've been straight off.

Then Clucas kicks the ball away and gets booked. Kicks it away again and the ref just lets it slide. Load of crap.

Mourinho needs to do something drastic if he wants to keep his job. This team is going nowhere at the moment.
Playing our strongest team would be a good start. It's clear as day Rashford and Lingard are nowhere near good enough but somehow they are ahead of Martial.

It's just bad luck, it will balance itself out until the end of the season. white text

PATHETIC!!!!!! We've scored 33 goals this season as same as everton, and they are 5 points off us.

Goals win matches and we can't fecking score.
We are in our true position, simple as that.

33 goals in 23 games is nowhere near good enough for United, especially after what has been spent. We have looked average all season, even in the winning run when we were beating poor sides, and since the Liverpool game we have been poor.

Major work required, hesitant to say we need to spend more money but there is something missing in that final third.
The goal scoring, or lack of is a big problem. They are now snatching at chances and then taking silly shots once it becomes really desperate. Oh for a RVN type.

After last night's results, this is really fecked me off.

Liverpool fans keep throwing sixth in our face, and they're absolutely right to. I felt by the end of this week we needed to be above them, with their fixtures and ours. We're ridiculous.

We have joint most draws in the Premier League season yet people are still defending José? He still doesn't know what his best team is ffs. This is getting ridiculous.

The lack of ideas in the final third has been worrying all season, we can't just rely on individual quality. Hazard gave an interview saying they are instructed more on what to do under Conte.

Sadly we will never get an honest explanation from Jose about why he doesn't use Martial as is clearly isnt for footballing reasons.

Terrible... when an 'ok' performance by Rojo is the highlight, you know you've had a bad night?

Wrong selection, wrong formation (it's Hull... at home?!!) BUT, those eleven/fourteen players should beat Hull. Jose can do so much but once they're on the pitch, their responsibility.

Crap night but results last night helped and next few league games are all winnable ..... though so was Hull at home

Theirs no excuses for that just flat out shite. Mourinho needs to wind his neck in now that game was screaming out for martial even before the second half. Couldn't see how Rooney or mata were meant to change the game for us tonight. Martial and fellaini made much more sense.
We are all presuming Fellaini is injured and he is the Plan B.

Well this was basically the best team or the team we've played most with. Except I would put Martial instead of Rashford.

More for a Scholes/Giggs types. Ibra might not be an RVN type player but he's still putting in plenty of goals. What we fundamentally lack besides that is another player who we can consistently rely upon to chip in with them.
