Post-match discussion

Theirs no excuses for that just flat out shite. Mourinho needs to wind his neck in now that game was screaming out for martial even before the second half. Couldn't see how Rooney or mata were meant to change the game for us tonight. Martial and fellaini made much more sense.

That first half performance was absolutely shockingly dreadful. Against fecking Hull. At fecking home.

The players in that first half were abysmal.

Let's just take a moment to reflect on how the fecking feck Mata managed to miss that chance. And while we are at it, how fecking stupid and shit is Smalling :wenger: The majority of the team appear drunk as feck and unable to pass, cross, let alone shoot a fecking football. How can it be so difficult? I swear we could make the goals twice as large without it having an effect on our goal-scoring form. We deserve Europa League football - our players certainly do.

Again - created enough good chances to win that, finishing has been awful all season. Thought the midfield had a stinker today, one to forget for Ander and Pogba.

not good enough, a big big chance blown tonight. Rooney as a match saver didn't filled me with confidence.

We just don't start games quick enough. Takes us 25 minutes to get going. Made the Rooney substitution far too early.

2 points dropped at v all these teams

Burnley
Stoke
Arsenal
Hull
West Ham

Games we dominated and drew. 10 fecking points lost due to shite finishing / worldie keepers

Well one thing is at least clear by now, it's not at the back we need to reinforce our team in the summer. Half of our attacking players needs to be replaced with players who can actually run and shoot.

If United aren't what they used to be why do C-tier goalies come here and perform like their life depended on it! :(

Good news is we'll still close to top 4 but with this kind of form it will keep running away from us.

Maybe winning the EL but we need to score goals there too. Unless we intend to win it with 0:0s and on penalties.

Mourinho has messed this one up for me. Martial is one of the very few match winners we have in the team. Not even bringing him up as a sub when he has been among our most in form players recently is stupidity. We are miles below the teams above us in terms of our attacking play. Europa League should be prioritized if we want CL football next season.

Unfortunately he is the only one we have !

One good, proper, fast winger is a must. True winger.

Just not good enough , and that has been the story of our season so far. Indeed the last few seasons.

We are an average enough team and league table is not lying , 6th is about our level. It makes no difference how many chances we get to play catch up on the teams ahead or us, we are not good enough to take advantage. We have loads of excuses and hard luck stories but just not enough quality.

All a team has to do it man mark Valencia and we have no out ball.

Its not about luck anymore. I had to grit my teeth reading countless posts complaining of the luck against Stoke, Burnley, Watford but it stops being luck after a certain point. If you can't even score a goal against Hull at home just pack up the top 4 aspirations.

A lot of the blame in my honest opinion is towards Mourinho for tonight. He ignored Martial and then ignored the opportunity to put him on and chose Wayne Rooney. The only correct change he made was Juan Mata and there is a fair shout to suggest he should have started him in the first place.

It wasn't a great display, we created one glorious chance and one decent enough one with Pogba. Against a team like Hull we should be making far more chances than we did. We are the worst side to watch going forward out of anyone in the top 6, and our manager has somewhat questionable treatment of his attacking men (as he has done in other clubs).

I wonder whether we'll see an another instagram vid of Pogba and Lingard dicking around the dressing room. The sad thing is, we probably will.
He needs to cut out those ridiculous haircuts as well. Hes too much media and not enough concentrating on improving his technique

Carrick's last two starts of Premier League football have lasted a total of 90 minutes. Only lasted first 45 of each match and hauled off at half. Mourinho's been off the mark with team selection as much as Carrick as been off his past two starts.

We deserve 6th place. We just have no killer instinct. Not enough goals in the side.

Yeah, the lot of them can feck right off. I have the same sentiment now as I had in early december. We're not winning games when we're playing well and we're not winning games when we're playing like shit. We are not good enough in the final third. Not incisive or precise enough. We're not getting the top 4 simply because (after all the feck ups we had early on) we either need to put a really good run of form or at least win the games against the top 6 opposition and we have yet to show the capability to do either.

The thing that pisses me off the most is how fecking lackluster we go into these games. It's like we've learned nothing over the course of this season.

4 games against Hull this season. The bottom team of the league. 1 loss, 1 draw (at OT) and two wins (neither of them particularly inspiring). A team we should win against 9 games out of 10. Just awful.

There is a reason why we are 6th now, and not because we have a God given right to be in the top 4 because we are Man United. There is not enough quality in the front 3-4 to bring opposite defences down. The likes of Spurs, City and Arsenal would have at least put 3,4 past Hull because they are better attacking side than us.

We still might have won if Mou played his subs well. But that would have been just papering over the cracks. Let's face it we are a Europa league team now.

We're f*cking useless. Can't count on us to take advantage of our rivals' mistakes even if we were playing a bunch of disabled grandmas. Useless fecking cuts. Bottlers.

The performance was absolutely terrible. We were hoofing the ball from the 60th decking minute onwards. Why? Where was the fecking midfield today? We failed to cope with the pressing of Hull fecking City.

Where was Martial? He should have started the game, yet didn't even come on as a sub? Why?

And if I see Pogba doing another fecking dancing video i will lose it.

Liverpool have gotten stick for their start to the new year, but performance wise we've been equally as bad. Handy cup ties against the likes of Hull, Reading and Wigan have gave the illusion that we've been pretty decent but really we've been quite poor. 9 draws so far in the league.. And almost all of them have been dropped points because of absolute dogshit finishing from supposedly world class players, not good enough.

That pedestrian 1st half cost us.

We created some decent chances but it wasn't enough.

We had the same problem we faced time and time again under LvG - not moving the ball quick enough against bus-parkers.

Ibra - stay up front mate - why are you in midfield giving the ball away.

Pogba was 80% shit 20% genuis AGAIN.

Rashford had a good game, but what can he do when there's 3-4 defenders on him?

Valencia was good. Defensive good but against Hull they should be.

Blind was okay, but why not play Shaw? Even Ashley Young could have been more incisive at LB.

Just when you thought you could get your hopes up, we get let down again. What is wrong with us?

These draws are killing our chances of achieving anything in the league. We've been stuck in 6th place limbo for months now.

As expected, every single time we can close the gap we bottle it. Pogba, Rashford and Ibra deserve to be fined 2 weeks wages.

As disappointed as I am, people claiming we're playing worse than last season are having a bloody laugh. We're not getting the results, but christ, if you'd prefer to watch LVG's dross over this season then I don't know why you're watching football.

Yes it is. I remember the last 10 minutes of a game last season while looking for an equalizer or a winner where we created feck all. I used to think all the time: "wow, we really deserved nothing from this game". But it was clear we were the dominant side and should have won.

It´s frustrating dropping two points, especially considering the results from yesterday, but we are definitely better from last season.

Prove it. Prove we're better beyond your personal anecdote.

Bad day but they happened even under Fergie. We fecking lost 3-2 to Blackburn in 2011-12 which cost us the title.

No doubt people will be calling for Mourinho's head but that's just nonsense.
We cannot keep on firing managers, and like you say we have to give Jose time. However, he needs to treat players equally. High standards for ALL players. His treatment of some players is very strange. We need to play with width.
Rooney is finished, yes he can play some nice passes. But touch, pace, burst and strength have gone. Jose thinking he should be first change is ludicrous.
