Who was one of the managers then...

He clearly rubs some players up the wrong way and I'm certainly not looking to excuse his responsibility for tonight and the league campaign generally, but:

Their players have proven their worth this year. This united squad has largely thrown every manager and excuse in front of them to protect their shit haircuts and instagram reps. Bottling embarrassment to united players of the past

Agreed, I only mentioned Chelsea because of their spectacular fall from grace. I still think there are issues in that squad but they won the title the year before and look likely to do it again so our lot are undoubtedly worse.

No, our aim should be to aim for the top. We cant buy 5-6 world class players in one summer; it'll take 3 windows. At some point Herrera needs replacing if we're to get there. Competing with the other EPL teams isnt that hard; Jose's just making a meal of it.
Well then PL is piss easy league isn't it?
It's not all about 5,6 world class players. Maybe we won't buy 5 or 6 even in 3 windows. It's about making a functional team.

Hull defended with 11 men.
Ref was terrible.
We missed clear cut chances.

But here's the thing. This has been happening all season. We are almost expecting it now before home games.

But what I don't understand is even in a game like today when everyone's playing badly and we begin to rely on crosses way too early, why on Earth can't anyone deliver a decent ball?
Valencia can't cross, Blind can't cross, Mata can't cross, Herrera can't cross... And let's not forget about Rashford who's the worst at it, yet he keeps crossing the ball. This baffles me. If he's instructed to do that then there's something wrong. If not, why do it?

And whenever a cross comes in we either foul the keeper or are penalised for high feet. Stop trying overly-elaborate bicycle kicks and just head the bloody ball!

Absolute bottle jobs. Everytime were presented with an opportunity we fluff it.

This isnt a knee jerk reaction and I've been thinking it for a while but Ibrahimovic is vastly overrated. Yes, he's the only one getting goals but that doesn't tell us he's great, it's the rest are shit at scoring. His movement is some of the worst I've ever seen at the club. If you look at his record, before his last season at AC, he's goal scoring record isn't all that great. And Ligue one I won't even count.

Rooney coming on was a useless decision I thought. Martial got dropped after creating two goals last game. Pogba was poor but granted he had to play deeper when Rooney came on.

.
It is a kneejerk.

Bottlers. Soft. Couldn't finish their dinner.

So frustrating that anytime teams above us drop points, we fail to make it count.

How can you know that? I've thought it for ages and just haven't said it.
I know that. Every time Ibra has a bad game I read 'his record is not good enough anyway'. It's bollocks, sorry. Ligue one you won't mention? He scored 19 goals this season.

This isn't acceptable on any level.

Too many players underperformed. Playing Rooney was a huge mistake. Blind on the left was terrible. Pogba continue to over complicate his game, frustrating. Zlatan was to aggressive and didn't use his experience in the right way. Rashford isn't ready yet to be a regular starter.

This draw is on Mourinho. His staring eleven was to negative, bringing Rooney on was a mistake. The players wasn't preperared, in the first half we where non existing.

Fiasco!!! No other word can discribe this performance.

You disagree with my opinion and that's fine. But you said my reaction was knee jerk, can you answer how you can know that? I've already said I've held the opinion for ages.

In response to your opinion, when you have the amount of shots he's had, you should score 19. And ibra has had more poor games than good ones I'd say. Tell me one actual striker who was first or second choice that had worse movement than Ibra that's played for us in the last ten years.

Martial should have been rewarded for his performance last game. If players arent performing, it makes sense to rotate and give others a chance. I dont get why you dont play somebody who is on a high after getting into the team and making two goals (with a disallowed goal).
He shouldnt be tired either.

Also that first half was a waste, again. So slow with the play and just allowed Hull to get into position. Once we played with a bit of urgency in the second half, it looked like we might have had a chance of scoring.

Saying that, we had an absolute gift with the scores from yesterday, and once again, the players cant deliver. Such a shame.

All the issues are of our own making.

The so called MOTM goalkeeper performances are merely down to poor finishing. Every shot is right next to or at the keeper.

Using strikers as wingers. Using CAM as wingers. Valencia is the only person available to cross the ball. No one ever overlaps on the left side. This makes our attacking threat so predictable. How is Rashford ahead of Martial. Both are actually strikers but at least Martial has some end product when he does dribble down the wing.

Zlatan and Pogba are undroppable for Jose. This is just plain wrong, especially when both have been below par since Christmas. Maybe it is fatigue showing now but there was no excuse to sub Carrick when every pass Pogba did was going astray.

Slow in the first half once again. This has been an issue since LVG was manager. Why can't these players pick up the tempo in the first half. Opposing teams get confidence going in half time at 0-0.

The sooner Rooney is sold the better. Provides absolutely no threat anymore, spends more time screaming at refereeing decisions than playing football these days. Has been a fantastic servant for the club but time to ship him out.

The team selection was horrific. Same clowns who served up that utter shit at their place last week. Martial should have started all day.

We need some fresh ideas in the team, Martial, Schweinsteiger, Baily, Shaw. Give them some starts see if they can take the chance.

Why do these bottom-of-the-table-dross teams goalies suddenly turn up when they play against us? They're usually shit but play a blinder when they face us. So bloody annoying.

They've made a few good saves each but it says more about our finishing than anything else. Proper finishers don't give the keeper a chance to make a save at least some of the time.

We can't keep using this as an excuse. Our finishing was just pathetic, we make it easier for them to save our chances.

We could play a flat and simple old school 4-4-2 against sides like Hull at home.

Not fussed how archaic it may seem, two forwards and a pair of wingers, two in the middle.

It would be enough.

United made it easy for their 2 centre backs. They should have played more on the wings than resorting to long balls.

We went 2 in the middle at half time and immediately gave up more possession. Pogba is too undisciplined to play in a 2

It's Hull. At home. Pogba would be fine in a two if we actually implemented it properly. We don't need to have 60-70% possession to beat Hull. Give a little up.

It's not 1996 anymore. The quality across the league is far higher - every game is tough. Expecting to just win because it's Hull is crazy - they're in the league for a reason. We play 442 against them and we get beaten.

Is that Harry Maguire worth a look for us? Or is he just a game raiser. Has dominated Ibra and the rest of our attack for 3 games.

I'm not gonna go all Arsenal fan tv with an over the top reaction, but that was pretty much unacceptable.

For the first time, I think this one falls on Jose. I get not starting Martial, but the way he played in the last game, he needed to come on. Instead he puts his faith in Rooney again, absolutely pointless.

Rashford was having a bad game. It should've been Mata at halftime instead of rooney, then Martial for Rashford. I think with Martial on we would've won, even though we were abysmal. I don't think this is similar to the Burnley game where we were unlucky, we were not good enough for the first time in a long time.

Jose needs to put more faith in Martial and we will win more games.

True.

The reluctance of Mourinho to sub below-par players who are his favourites (Ibra - Who is one of my fav players too) will cost him.

The game was crying out for a sub to bring on Martial and use Rashford through the middle and really stretch Hull out wide and from all angles. Or he could have brought on the Fellaini fro for route 1. Wrong subs at the wrong time.

The ref missed a clear 2nd yellow/sending off.

At least Jose is going for all out attack, it's just that he seems to use the wrong players at the wrong times. Get a sub right at the right time + better team selection, and he'll be fine.

Europa League it is to secure our CL though i think with the way Hull played for their new Manager, I can see more twists as relegation starts to haunt the bottom teams and kicks them up a few gears to take off points against more big 6 teams.

At least we're not losing like under Moyes. That Markovic shot, oh my days.

The ref was a total clown. It's as though he was in on their horrible time wasting tactic.

The old super keeper which always gets brought up in Football Manager. They don't exist in that game or in real life.

Their keeper barely had to work ffs. He only had to make a few routine saves.

The Jones injury killed every chance we had, because we couldn't bring Martial on anymore (well, we could instead of Mata, but Jose was having none of that). Our chance conversion isn't even atrocious, I can't find a word for it anymore. Open goal is yet again not enough to score.
Europa League it is lads.

Actually we could've got to a back three and brought Martial on

--------DDG---------
-Valencia--Rojo--Blind
--Rooney---Herrera--
-Mata--Pogba--Martial-
----Ibra---Rashford---

Or something like that?
And I'm puzzled too by the Rooney move? I know Carrick was not really needed to protect the back four and replacing him with a more attacking option makes sense, but Rooney was an odd choice for me.
I can see keeping Rashford on, like Mou did with Martial who also struggled in the first 45 on Sunday but when we lost Jones to injury in the 2nd half it was time to take the risk IMO.

All the while i thought the table was lying and we deserve much better. No way we're good enough for anything better than 6th. We should go all out for EL.
