EL D Europa League Match Day 3

Fenerbahce 1:1 Manchester United

Post-match discussion

So you play a fullback in attacking midfield and he turns out to be shit, wow, mind blown.

Shame he didn't make the changes at half time when it was clear, despite the lead, that we were struggling. Once we'd conceded and the changes came we looked like a competent football team again, at least compared to the performance up until that point.

I mean this was right upto expectations no ? We setup the same clueless, somewhat counter attacking way.

Dalot repeatedly gets caught in no mans land

1-1

Post match presser : We playerd very well. Mazroui as #10 was great. We need to regroup blah blah

Classic Europa game.

Crap night of the weekend, underwhelming opponent, tedious game, and don't win.

Undefeated in the Europa League with the same record as Victoria Pilznen and not in automatic qualifications spot... You'll never sing that.

Still in the knock out places, without wasting our energy by winning matches. efficiency .

I understand rotating players but we sacrificed any momentum from the Brentford game and some of the decisions were bizarre. Mazaroui is clearly not a 10 despite what Erik might think and with the shot averse Zirkzee ahead of him we were seriously lacking a threat. More injury problems too, not a good night and not a great way to get ready for the Hammers.

Absolutely nothing about this team that suggests any level of quality beyond what we're seeing right now. We're at the level the players we have deserve. Fenerbache, Twente and Porto have absolutely nothing to offer in Europe either, and we are at about their level.

Realistically don't see anything improving, which - given the massive amounts of money spent - is staggering. de Ligt and Onana looked good tonight, but our midfield and front three are just painful to watch at the minute.

In isolation its a decent result. The actual football played in comparison is utterly awful.

Terrible. Mazraoui at CAM was an insane decision. Not bringing Amad on until Antony was injured was also ridiculous.

I always like to give players time but Zirkzee is looking very poor at the moment.

Only positives were De Ligt, Onana and Ugarte

ten Hag's "process" seems to be an endless conveyor belt of shite dropping off the end and splatting on the floor.

Worst United team for decades. It just getting worse and worse, no progress at all to see - or at least I can not see it.

I'm tired of us having no chemistry in attack and surrendering leads even if we do manage to score. The inexplicable lineup and the Antony sub only adds to the frustration.

A draw was probably a fair result. We weren’t particularly good for long periods and didn’t control the game. After our changes we grew into the game but didn’t really do enough to win it. Probably Ugarte’s best performance in a United shirt but Zirkzee was very poor.

A point isn’t a brilliant result but not exactly a bad one either, it’s a historically difficult game for us to go away to Turkey so to avoid defeat isn’t disastrous. However, it is important that we kick on now and start to win our much easier selection of fixtures to qualify.

What is the ultimate goal here from Ten Hag with this team? Just utter crap! Is he just happy for a draw when we have the quality to hurt any team if he would just let them off the leash and play players in their correct position. Tonight just doesn’t make sense. A year since our last victory in Europe! 3 bloody years and we all can’t see what he’s trying to do.

It's like he was playing Football Manager and accidentally moved the wrong player into CAM and selected "play match". What the actual feck was Mazrouai doing up there

Our attack is scarily useless, we gift the ball back to the opposition so easily with sloppy selfish play in the final third and god forbid the wingers actually manage to find a player in the box.

It was so stupid, when he had both Amad and Antony on the bench. Or he could at least have let Eriksen play as number 10, which is his best position.
