Only thing bad was we really should of finished off those chances.

So much to be excited about with this team. Shaw and Depay down that wing...just glorious stuff. Hernández back in action. Bastian fecking Schweinsteiger. Non-stop energy in Schneiderlin. Darmian's just a natural. Januzaj putting himself forward as that mobile, creative, multifunctional #10. Mata looks like he's re-discovering his creative touch. Smalling just dominates strikers with ease now and Blind gives us that bit of composure and class on the ball. Plus Fellaini's making himself something of a fan favourite for his attitude and vital goals.

All very exciting. No idea how people can be so negative about this team.

Best game so far. We were a bit unlucky and wasteful upfront. A bit too many unnecessary passes at the back, as well. Otherwise a very good performance, especially from the defense, Depay and Fellaini. Adnan was brilliant at the beginning but faded in the second half. Good call to sub him. Chicharito looked very lively, as well, loved to see him in our shirt again. Carrick had a bad day and Romero starts to make me nervous though.

Good result, I'll take it. Great to get the goal right at the end there. It was well deserved with the amount of pressure we put them under and the chances we had. Would have been very harsh on us to go into the second leg with a 2-1 result. Fellaini should have been on earlier, seemed perfectly set up for him. MOTM match was obviously Memphis. Shout out to that fantastic run by Shaw.

Really enjoyed that. I'm a bit gutted that Memphis didn't finish that chance as it would have been one of the best hat tricks we've ever had.

Brugge were really poor. I can't say I've seen them much but we should have absolutely battered them.

Memphis, Smalling the two standouts by far, but mata, Shaw, blind and darmian were excellent as well. Rooney I thought played well and it was an encouraging performance in terms of his overall play.

Romero a bit shit. But it didn't cost us thankfully.... God I hope de Gea stays.

Need a bit more fluidity and understanding in the final third, but other than that good performance. Brugge made it tough for us by putting 9 men behind the ball, defended with two banks of four and were incredible difficult to break down in the last 15 minutes. Good start to the season, just hope we can maintain it.

Come on, we were a lot more quicker and had a lot more flair today.

Anyway great game imo. Some beautiful football by us today. We were shaky in defense a bit in the beginning but bossed it as the game went on. Some nice first touches, triangles and players in general ran a lot more behind players than vs Villa and Spurs. Special mention to Memphis of course, he was a beast!
And Fellaini of course. Brugge players started to panick as soon as he came on.

Hernandez looked nice too.
Smalling a beast again.
Mata better in the 2nd. Morgan got the job done, few missplaced passes.
Carrick was poor.
And our 2 fullbacks, what to say than they're fecking awesome.
Rooney a lot better than last 2 games.
We deserved that scoreline realy, 2-1 would be a tricky result.

Overall we did solid today. In the first half the tempo of our play was up and we were creating chances but we should have finished! Memphis could have walked out of here with two hatricks of assists and goals and Rooney should have had one aswell.

Really? I actually thought they were a lot worse than expected. They basically did nothing all game and hardly threatened at all, despite us leaving lots of space for counter attacks.

We should've put this tie to bed, but 3-1 will do. We can't go out against a side this bad surely.
