3pts away from home is all you can ask for at this time of season. The negatively on here is a bit harsh. However, what is the point of Sancho at this point?
Everybody behind Bruno played well for sure. The thing is our play through defence and midfield is much better (helps not having Maguire and mcfred) but my goodness when it hits Bruno and others ahead of him it’s just so erratic. Bruno has his good days no doubt but I feel he’s just far to erratic with his play at times and when he’s having a bad game our whole attack falls apart because nobody else can do anything. It’s genuinely relegation level our attack. Going to be far too hard to get rid of antony sancho and martial which is the worry.Truth is we played well. It being 1-0 made the game far more tense than it should have been. As a result, people bypass are good passages of play because we aren't coasting like we should be.
However, you are right about one thing. Our attack has poor this season outside of Rashford ( Bruno is in the midfield). You can't win the league with an attack like ours. Look how one footed Antony and Martial are. Look how passive Sancho is. For years people have talked about effort and drive, but the truth is, our attack hasn't been good enough. You can't have the ball in the final third as much as we have had and have as little impact as we do. Literally all our succesful attacks this season have either come from a magic Rashford moment or good decision making from one of Bruno, Eriksen or Casemiro. For any attacker to score outside of Rashford (or Garnacho who has rarely played), it needs to be on a plate. Yet watch Arsenal and see how intensely Martinelli and Saka work to contribute to their attacks. Watch Liverpool and all their attackers do that. City is the only team in world football that doesn't need to, due to their unique system, but even with that Grealish and Mahrez still provide consistent attacking impetus. Yet here were are, a team that will never be the pass masters that City or Barcelona are, having attackers waiting for opportunites to be handed to them on a plate and wondering why we aren't winning as many games away from home as our dominance in games suggest.
For me, if we could, I would sell all three attackers that played today and let Weighorst leave. They just aren't good enough

Ten Haag has to take some of the heat too as he clearly isn’t getting through to our attackers and he also signed Antony who has been at utterly horrendous signing when you consider price and output.
We are already there. This isn't United under Ole.If we were offered 2 home games to get 1 point to beat the dippers to the last CL spot and condemn them to Thursday night football at the start of the season we'd have said yes please, thank you very much
But let’s make it a win!One draw*
Sick of these excuses, for Sancho to perform HE HIMSELF, must perform regardless of personell. For Sancho to perform, he needs parallel movement, therefore a midfielder than can carry the ball distances is essential, which is what we looking for.
Also, a decent striker to be able play off would not go amiss.
I thought Fernandes was awful. His passing and ability to either keep the ball or shift it quickly was non existent.
And would you put on in his place?ETH has got to start reacting better in-game. His subs are pre-planned. I love Bruno but he had a shocker today and was a liability. Yet you knew ETH would never sub him
He makes dribbling look so difficult. Garnacho came on and beat his man the very first touch. Sancho just isnt fit for the league.Sick of these excuses, for Sancho to perform HE HIMSELF, must perform regardless of personell.
Indeed. Shame we can't sell him because of FFP.He makes dribbling look so difficult. Garnacho came on and beat his man the very first touch. Sancho just isnt fit for the league.
And would you put on in his place?
Yes Bruno was shite today and is erratic at the best of times, but you also know that he's liable to provide a piece of magic from nowhere, unless he's having a total mare he's left on because there's no actual replacement
Unclench.
We controlled the game and got the goal we needed. But we really should be blowing teams like this away.
Casemiro and AWB were the better players today.
Sancho, Martial needs to be shipped out ASAP.
WW isn't a player at United's level.
To me, there’s a few blatantly obvious things from today’s ”job done”, but ultimately lack lustre, performance.
- Jadon Sancho just does not have the bollocks for the PL. Technically good with the ball at his feet and with time but when pressed - by anyone - he wilts. He literally is scared of his own shadow. Garnacho, an 18 year old kid, comes on and as we have seen time and time again - he just drives down the wing, drives into the box and causes a whole world of problems for any back four. Don‘t get me wrong I am not a Sancho hater, I just wish he’d show some courage and a belief in his own ability. Give him one more season.
- Antony - when he tried to do a rainbow flick at some point in the second half my 16 year old son watching with me just uttered “what a prick”….from the mouths of babes, says it all. Needs to cut that shit out and concentrate on maybe not being so one dimensional. Yes his tracking back has got better but he still has a lot to prove.
- Martial - strolling around again without a care in the world. Yes he’s more effective than Weghorst but so would my Nan be, and she’s been dead for over 30 years. Get rid.
- Weghorst - agree with anyone else as to why ETH seems to think he’s an option. He isn’t. Send him back to Burnley.
- Lindelof - I used to be his biggest detractor, but fair play to him. He’s shown over the last month or so that, when not coupled with Maguire, he’s a good centre half. He’s saved his United career in the last 6 weeks
So, a meandering away win and hopefully we can get at least 1 point out of the last 2 home games. However, I still wouldn’t put it past us to lose both.
How long do we have to wait?Indeed. Shame we can't sell him because of FFP.
No idea! How long do we have to wait?
so basically.. he will be effective if all he needs to do is to carry he ball forward unmarked. For Sancho to perform, he needs parallel movement, therefore a midfielder than can carry the ball distances is essential, which is what we looking for.
