Truth is we played well. It being 1-0 made the game far more tense than it should have been. As a result, people bypass are good passages of play because we aren't coasting like we should be.

However, you are right about one thing. Our attack has poor this season outside of Rashford ( Bruno is in the midfield). You can't win the league with an attack like ours. Look how one footed Antony and Martial are. Look how passive Sancho is. For years people have talked about effort and drive, but the truth is, our attack hasn't been good enough. You can't have the ball in the final third as much as we have had and have as little impact as we do. Literally all our succesful attacks this season have either come from a magic Rashford moment or good decision making from one of Bruno, Eriksen or Casemiro. For any attacker to score outside of Rashford (or Garnacho who has rarely played), it needs to be on a plate. Yet watch Arsenal and see how intensely Martinelli and Saka work to contribute to their attacks. Watch Liverpool and all their attackers do that. City is the only team in world football that doesn't need to, due to their unique system, but even with that Grealish and Mahrez still provide consistent attacking impetus. Yet here were are, a team that will never be the pass masters that City or Barcelona are, having attackers waiting for opportunites to be handed to them on a plate and wondering why we aren't winning as many games away from home as our dominance in games suggest.

For me, if we could, I would sell all three attackers that played today and let Weighorst leave. They just aren't good enough
Thing is we created 20 chances away from home, our achilles heel is only 5 were on target. They have to sort that out, if we get that striker we need it might relax the other players and they will score more goals from their positions.

Never ever seen Bruno that bad - he was horrendous. No energy and not sure what ETH was watching but, should have been pulled. Him having a go at Scott when a few minutes before had a horrible shot and lost the ball needlessly in middle of the park and so many other moments.

Fred/Scott subs should have come a lot sooner but, really it's more to do with our lack of being able to kill games off that necessitated that. Getting barely a goal a game next season will be nowhere good enough. Hopefully get that striker we desperately need.
McT at least forced a save, Bruno’s closest effort was 5 yards over. Saw a lot of lazy passes, the number of cheap turnovers was insane.

Stumbling our way to the end of the season, but you can't knock an away win.

20 shots, but I dare say most were Bruno punting it miles over the bar.

On a lighthearted note, is anyone else happy that today was the last time we have to look at those god-awful toxic green kits? Truly one of the worst kits we've ever had.

Really, what about volley that the keeper made a decent save from

In the first half particularly it was hard to pick the player up against the pitch on TV

First of all, huge win and with Liverpool drawing we're almost there regarding top 4.

De Gea, AWB, Varane, Lindelof, Shaw and Casemiro. They won us the game with their brilliant defending. However, I am pissed off with out attack, what the hell? We can't score another goal against a team that is on a beach. Worst attack of top 10 teams in the league at least.

We're not finishing in top 4, let alone improving next season if we don't get quality striker(s) in summer. No chance.

Winning games carrying three forwards. Big improvements needed in the final third.

Shite game. Martial and Sancho very poor.

Good that we are pretty much sorted for Champions league next year

The worst* Awful kit.

Get in there. Massive result.

Shame Villa couldnt hang on a bit longer but then again Id have taken them getting any sort of result at the start of the day.

We won an away game. If Bournemouth had needed something out of that game they would have gotten it.

Classic redcafe nonsense. The worst case scenario plucked from your arse based on nothing. Well done sir.

Three posts into a thread where we have basically achieved what everyone said would be a good season.

Yet not good enough.

Tedious tourists.

Go back to whatever sport ye all understand.

I thought we managed the game quite well, the problem is obvious to see, we have no striker, Martial comes short and then moves wide, there's nobody to pass to in the box

Antony was poor today and Sancho was Sancho, he needs to leave ASAP, I thought Weghorst was OK today, he held the ball up, made some good passes and had a decent effort at goal

Defensively we we were solid all round, Casemiro was the best player on the pitch, Eriksen was good in the first half, Bruno had is worst game for a while

Fantastic result, shit performance. We'll make hard work spreading butter on toast.

ETH should have made the lads change into all white at halftime
At pitch level it probably wasn't an issue, when they showed the low level camera footage it was fine, but the high up cameras it wasn't so good

If we get the point(s) against Chelsea, I would really like to see some of academy players getting a game against Fulham. I know we haven't really closed out games to give them the last few minutes, but compared to SAF/OLE, I haven't seen them at all this season.

Might give the likes of Sancho, a demonstration about passion and drive ...

Wrong. Bruno had a worldie volley saved from just inside the box by their goalie.

I know because he's in my FPL as well. About the only good thing he did all game

Good to see the moderation team apply as much moderation in their opinion and judgment as the posters they slate.

To this point, I would rather play elanga instead of Sancho, just jogging around without any impact at both end.

Just get this crap out of the team, pathetic performance

For Sancho to perform, he needs parallel movement, therefore a midfielder than can carry the ball distances is essential, which is what we looking for.

Also, a decent striker to be able play off would not go amiss.

I thought Fernandes was awful. His passing and ability to either keep the ball or shift it quickly was non existent.

Feels so weird that United are not messing up / bottling it at the end of season games. Seems like last 4 or 5 years, every time we have either limped out of the top 4 or made it comfortably before it ever became a run in.

Even the COVID season, our form behind closed doors fell off a cliff in the last few games.

The last 2 results have been phenomenal and we can’t underestimate how important they will be for the next few years. It could easily have gone all wrong with the momentum having shifted to Liverpool in the last 2 months but we are doing a professional job at getting it over the line.
