Manchester United 1:1 Bournemouth

Post-match discussion

Every boo was deserved. Embarrassing performance. A drunk Roy Keane should be sent into that dressing room. Zlatan needs a fecking kick up the hole.

Boruc may have had his best game in years, but that is all done to us - no excuses, it's all on us.
It's no wonder keepers often have good games against us and making a lot of saves when we hit most of our shots in the middle of the goal. The finishing has been beyond awful this season

It would be interesting to re-run that second half and see how many minutes of football was actually played, could have been 15 minutes extra time.

Disappointing, but we've shown we're as much soft centered bottlers as Liverpool and Arsenal. At the end of the season if we're still in sixth, we deserve to be there.

Let's not get RAWKish. I am not "done with football/this team", but I am devastated. Zlatan was poor but every striker will have those days - what worries me is the fact we can't sub him and we've got no one else who can lead the line. Awful penalty, but you've got to give it to Boruc for strong hand and good read.
Pogba was appalling. His long balls were useless, calls as bad as he could make. I really hope he has a serious discussion with Mourinho as it's not the first time he costs us points and he really has to get on another level. Bottler.

The drama that went on in the first half completely disrupted us and we never recovered. The players have to take responsibilities for losing their heads and never bouncing back.

We hardly created in the second half. This was such a shame.

The ref was also useless and inconsistent and whoever decides on how much time need to be added on is another incompetent official.

That was fecking disgraceful. More points dropped against absolute shite. Can't get ahead of a shite Liverpool team.

Those last 20 mins...

Horrific stuff from us. Barely played any football and just allowed Bournemouth to waste time. Every opportunity, we keep bottling it.
We aren't making top 4. Someone like Roma will twat us with that defense so Europa is out of the question. Chelsea will pull us apart on Monday and top 4 is all but gone. May seem kneejerk but this team lacks bottle when the screws are turned.

It's easy to jump on a bandwagon after a players poor performance but Pogba, my word, horrific. Guy needs to spend less time dabbing, talking to Stormzy, no more photo shoots, no more marketing until you can justify your fee.

This is of course a reactionary post but he has flattered to deceive all season. Saw an interview with some of the lads at United and he is apparently always late.

Get and stay on that training pitch and work yourself harder than anyone else and become a world class player. At the moment he is nowhere near.

Dreadful performance , Dreadful result.

But not unexpected , we rode our luck last week and got away with an equally poor performance.

I love Utd , but it is hard to love this Utd team , there is something missing in them.

Really worrying that we seen yet again how Pogba can so easily fall apart under any kind of pressure situation , like the Liverpool game , when we need composure from him(and others) today in those last 20 mins he just fell to pieces again. It is becoming the norm for him.

We don't deserve to get top 4 and play in the CL. Our only hope is that teams above us deserve it even less. But as of now we can have no complaints, we are nowhere near good enough for CL.

That's what Jose already decided, compare todays starting 11 to the one that played the first St Etienne game and you'll see.

Nah, this was the game all of us thought would be easy.

And it looked easy for the first 20mins, we should have scored tonnes. An appalling bit of work from Jones and the circus around Mings-Ibra complicated it. But even then we had as good a chance as you get to win it.

Only one thing to say. 6th. It's where we belong. We perform like this every time we have a chance to make ground on the teams above us.

The '6th' has wound me up on YouTube comments for the last few months but it's where we are.

Shocking shocking subs from Mou. Rooney and Carrick were excellent till so far and so there is no reason to sub them for rookies who had no idea what to do

Morinho had to gamble with team selection at som point but when you pick a team like that with no pace you are asking for trouble.

It's not really a surprise we didn't win because we have drawn so many games like that already, sixth is where we deserve to be and it is where we will finish without a doubt.
Team selection should never matter at a home game to a 10 men Bournemouth. Blaming it is simply distracting. Any United team should be able to deal with that lot today.

Ok so wee played well and as we already know every single player including Zlatan today has a spaghetti legs in front of the goal - Pogba literally. Ref was not good, but he did not cost us the game so we cannot blame him. Although I felt there should have been 8-9 minutes of added time not 5. I cannot criticize the starting line up as Rooney looked good for the first time this season. But the subs were shocking. Fellani and Lidgard showing their standard performance. Rash was playing on the wrong wing, but was crap anyway. Carrick should have stayed on he was the creative force as all that Pogba was doing was doing dribbling in our own half. If anything Pogba should have been taken off for Herrera. The tactics we good, but after the subs we did not look dangerous at all. We were 6th and deserve to stay 6th after today as we have clearly bottled it. At the time I thought yes good Shaw is off he might be knackered, but Lidgard when he came on looked as if he played for 120 minutes. Absolutely useless. Zlatan cost us this game by not scoring a pen and a one or two sitters -fact! Johns pen was not a pen but a clever dive, but the idiot had to dive in hence asking ref a question. I can say that horrible misses happen and its just a game, but when we cannot score all season when we should then this is just simply shocking.

The panicking towards the end of the second half when we were just lumping stupid forward passes (mainly by pogba) was unreal. fecking Mata the only one on the pitch telling people to calm down because they were all acting like a bunch of kids with no experience at all.

In all honesty, we have to be winning those games. First-half, encouraging performance but lacking in efficiency in front of goal. Then we concede a stupid penalty. Other than their penalty, the only chance they had was when Afobé was through on goal. Zlatan should have been sent off but then again, Arter and Mings should have been dismissed too. Second-half, Bournemouth defended better but we still should have had enough o put them well away. Just a total lack of composure when in possession; when we were breaking down Bournemouth early on in the second-half with relatively intricate play, we then stopped doing that and reverted to going needlessly vertical. I think our woeful inefficiency in front of goal very much masks the fact that we are generally better than the scoreline suggests. 7 draws at OT this season and you can make a valid argument that we should have won every single one of those games. Just 1 goal in each of those games and we would be 14 points better off.

I'm sure what needs to be said about the game has already been said so I really want to focus on two things:

Ibrahimovic - ok he had a bad game today and should have been sent off to make it worse but he's done well all year - every play in history no matter how old has days like this so perhaps the criticism is over the top. Perhaps his ego is what draws the attention which is fair enough.

Pogba - many claiming that he didn't dictate his fee and it's the clubs fault for spending too much. Fine, I get that, but seriously that doesn't absolve him of being shit. He has an ego to match ibrahimovic so if Ibra gets that attention so should he. Difference Pogba has failed to deliver time and time again, almost as consistently as how Ibra has delivered.

It's time to be real about Pogba. He's young and has potential so one day he may become what's expected of him but right now he's been awful end off.

Bloody cowards go hiding when there is a chance to move out of 6th and they play headless chicken football. Sick of all these draws against absolute sh1t opposition. These players are a disgrace. Arrrghhhhhhhh

Not a coincidence any more, too many of these matches at home against weak opposition when we have a chance to make up ground on top 4 rivals have ended like this.

I don't agree that "we created enough to win the match", after the first 25 minutes where it was like a basketball match we created feck all. And it's not the first time we create feck all against a team that decides to defend deep against us. Whether it's just complacency or lack of creativity, we have a problem, and we won't be doing anything in the league until we sort it out.

Are you having a laugh? Our soon to be 30 goal a season striker missed a penalty, our world record signing hit an air kick 5 yards from goal and you don't think we created enough chances to beat them? Watch the game again

Pogba is really not up there. I don't even think he is a top 10 midfielder in the world. 89 million for potential, I am not even sure he can still improve. Most expensive average player.
At this moment he brings nothing to the team. Other players have been dropped and shunned for one bad game. He's had loads

Fecking shambles.

They won a trophy last weekend and think they are done for the season.

 He was poor today but come on

There must be consequences in the Summer. Too many mediocre players have been allowed to drag us down for too long. Feck them off. In any other line of work when people aren't performing to expected standards they are sacked.

Disgusted y that. Mourinho must be tearing his hair out. We should have won easily, our chance conversion is atrocious!

Exactly, Jose now has to get in front of cameras and back the players, when they should have put in 4 in the first half and that would have been that.

Taking off Carrick was our undoing. We resorted to either long ball or LVG-esque football without him in the end. Only Rashford out of the three subs did anything of use.

With Rooney and Ibra up top we need 40 chances to score.

I think Roy Keane just might have murdered one or two players after that. We might have been better in the second half if he had done so at half-time.

Very us this season. Every time we get the chance to go above someone this season we fluff our lines.

Is it Bournemouth's first point in 2017? Disgraceful if true
