I thought our draws were fixed to get an easy game?

What the feck do we pay all that bribe money to the FA for?!

(Says the most original guy in the room)

Nothing to write home about. Very good goals. But as with a number of games this year too many players starting the game in second gear. Should have known underdogs will come at you, so you have to be switched on from the start.

All I'll say is, we are a much better team than the one that face Chelsea in October.

Wasn't a good performance but we showed great resolve to hang in there when Blackburn were on the assault. Well taken goal by Ibra from a brilliant pass by Pogba. Really disappointed in Martial who didn't have any sort of impact and was rightfully hooked, mind you he wasn't the only one who had an off day, just have a higher expectation of him.

Annoyed that we have Chelsea though. With potential fixture pile up, and battling rotation and fatigue issues, we could have really done without a really top team right about now. The team have a responsibility to have a go at them no matter what the odds, thats what it means to play for Manchester United, I just hope that we can be at our best in the EL games around the tie.

In fairness it's been Utd fans recently who suggest the draws are fixed
Do you really believe that was a fair draw?

The current holders 'United' got the hardest possible draw whilst every other top team avoided each other....

I'd of give United a chance at beating any of those other teams home or away but Chelsea at Stamford Bridge... I think we've only won there twice in over 10 years!

It's fixed because we got a hard draw?

Let's say you had even a smidgen of a case here, why would they have let us have 2 pretty comfy home strolls and then a mid championship team away in the 3 rounds before?

Why not stitch us up in round 3 if that was the aim?

And most likely we'll concentrate for the first 2 mins and not have already lost the game by then!

Lingard is not good enough to be getting so much game time for United. At 24 years old, he's not a "youth prospect" anymore either but people often forget his age and give him a free pass because he's a "youth prospect from our academy". We have to keep reminding ourselves that he's 5 years older than Rashford.

Smalling and Rojo don't seem to work well together. We need Shaw back asap since Darmian never offered anything going forward and even his defensive game has been poor lately. If Shaw never recovers his form then we'll have to look elsewhere. Blind is ok as a back up LB, but he doesn't have necessary qualities to excel in that position.

No that's not what I said Tottenham, Arsenal, City away would of all been hard games Chelsea away is the the worst possible draw because we simply never win there and at the same time every other top team avoid each other....

Of course it's not a fixed draw.
It was Owen Hargreaves and Chris Sutton pulling the balls out, not David Blaine and Dynamo.

Love that kid running on when we scored. One of our players picked him up. Great scenes.

They have different temperature balls. All cold apart from ours and Chelsea. Bert Millichip told me after a few pints.

True. But also in that CFC game, where we lost 4-0, every single time they attacked, they scored. I just don't believe that they can get that lucky again. 4-0 flattered them and I think 2-0 would've been more appropriate.
No doubt, they were the far better team in that game, though.
I think it'll be a good game.

I know what I'm saying slightly out there but c'mon what are the odds we get our worst possible draw and every other top team miss each other. I dunno maybe we are genuinely cursed

You asked if it was fair, implying that it was not a fair draw

Smalling and Rojo is a partnership to wake you up in a cold sweat. Darmian is as effective as a traffic cone.

If Shaw doesn't play, Young should.

Yes, you nutter.

Average performance and a good result. They battled hard but we had that little bit extra which was all important in the end.

Zlatan is fantastic as is Pogba and miki.

Mourinho was surprisingly and, you might say, exaggeratedly positive about the player's attitude, saying everybody gave everything and that he was very satisfied. I'm sure he saw the same as we did, but this might be not the right time to stir up shit.

Its evident that we lack quality. This team is just Ibra/Pogba dependent

Awful performance, good result and resolve. Good goals and assists, too.

Some stinking performances though.

I don't fancy the Chelsea game, I think our cup run ends there so we need to hope we take the EFL cup and either Europa or top 4 if not both.

Decent tie. Closer than it needed to be but you get the feeling the instruction was not to exert ourselves and just do enough. Fair play to Blackburn though they gave it a go. If I were a Blackburn fan though I'd be a bit annoyed at the fact the players were able to raise their game against Manchester United but will probably get beat 5-0 at home to Burton at the weekend, or whoever they're playing. These one off games are good but part of me would be thinking: 'If they're capable of that why are we sat on the cusp of dropping down to the third tier of English football?'

Not a great game, but the thing that matters most is the result (as most of the lads here mentioned, we are grinding out results, just like we used to do under SAF). I hope that the team will be motivated to play better against chelski than in that horrendous league match (please Jones, get back to the team! Smalling is "fragile" at the back).

I do wonder what the experts at the BlueMongs have to say, because according to them we are FA's favourite team that usually gets the easiest draws in the cups.

We've been a bit poor performance-wise in quite a few matches recently. It's like we've gone back to just standing around when a midfielder has the ball in the opposition half, rather than making runs and giving the ball carrier options. Makes for really static passing to feet, and eventually harmless crosses.

Nobody else find it strange that of all possible draw results every top team avoided each other bar us, the current holders.... some people still believe these draws are random

Feck em, we'll smash them.

It's our league, they're just looking after it whilst we get our shizzle together.
