Dominated the game, unlucky result but that is football, you have to play all 90+ minutes.

I really think you lot play a lot better without Ibra in the starting line-up though.

We should have won, Arsenal were shit and scored from their only shot on target I think. It is frustrating but I was happy with the team, it felt like they played with real courage and cojones.

I think today proved the point that Martial (in particular) and Rashford are nowhere near ready to lead the line. We lacked a cutting edge yet again but do look more balanced with this midfield. I also think Rooney looked reasonably thratening even if he has lost much of his pace. No idea why Darmian started ahead of Shaw. We need another top-class finisher and possibly a real winger. Jones had a better game than I feared but it was no surprise at all that Giroud scored Moment he came on I was worried
Giroud came on at 72 mins that header was basically his first touch. 1-0 leads are always difficult to defend. A og a mistake from a ref or a deflection can make a good performance look like a average performance. We still look 10x better then last year. Hopefully we will crawl our way up the table during the Xmas period.

we are such a bigger club. enjoy the draw.

Don't really get how you were unlucky. You created little, and then chose to sit back on a 1-0 after dominating possession for the previous 30 minutes.
I saw from about 30 minutes onwards. Maybe I missed a load of chances in that first thirty mins but the half time analysis didn't seem to suggest it. I'll leave it now, just disagree with the idea that you were unlucky, when I saw very few opportunities for United to score.

They were shite and there for the taking. All well and good playing well but we aren't scoring anywhere near enough. Martial and Rashford are offering nothing at the moment. Rashford in particular needs taking out of the team.

Keep hearing "lots of positives", is that 2 wins in 9? Feck off.
We are creating chances, what we need to look at is why we aren't scoring those chances. Last season we created sod all. Ibra would have scared the shit out of their defence today, but alas.

Exactly, Huge chance, almost free header and he almost headed it sideways. Terrible effort!! We haven't been putting those type of chances away like we used to for years now! It was a cruel twist of fate that Giroux scored on a superb header almost to show us how its done.

Delivery from Blind was class, but it wasn't as clear cut because an Arsenal player stood Rojo up. Rojo had a clear leap, but it was vertical and he was fading back a bit. Still had loads to do like getting proper contact across goal to beat Cech.

Come on some of you.

Its morinho's first season. We played so well against a team that are going for the title. They have a manager and experienced squad who have already jelled together.
In the end they had one chance only! Out of all ours. If our players was strong enough at the end we could have dealt with it. We should feel proud. Play like that normally through a full season and you win titles.

Also Jose said in his notes that the internationals is over for 4 months and bow is the time we learn to play like a team. If its anything like todays performance then we have exciting times ahead.

Often happens with a team finding its feet under a new manager. Like I said, the signs of progress are obvious. We just need some momentum and a break from all this bad fecking luck. It will come though. I'm a lot more confident about that now then I was two and a half hours ago.
Spot on. I would almost bet my house that we will win the league under Jose in the next 3 years.

Feels like we were robbed. Dominated the game, nice fluid movement with no Bailly and Ibra in the side. I really like what I saw.

Can't be happy really... we needed to do more after we scored, we can't be relying on our defence to keep a clean sheet in any game, let alone against Arsenal.

Not sure why our defenders are getting so much praise. Arsenal were blunt for 90 minutes, then created one chance from a cross that we didn't defend. It's not good enough. Sure Rashers should do better, but it's still just a cross... you have to defend it competently at that stage of the game.

Saying OT was quiet and other such nonsense.

I enjoyed in for 87 minutes yes.

But it was quiet!! Can you not recall what the atmosphere was once like?

I can't enjoy a game that I don't find entertaining. Or when I can't appreciate the approach or the performance of individuals.

Stop with all this sense please.

Just aren't clinical enough plus some great saves made against United. Heaton with Burnley and whoever was in goal for Stoke made class saves and it was a few too many times to believe. Cech made a class save against Mata in the first half.

It wasn't a good game though from us by any means.

It has been the same all season , we see some promising things, but it never results in alot of chances and we can never hold on to it for an entire game.

Arsenal imo played a woefull game, we should have always walked away here today with the 3 points but we created so very little and it the end we couldn't even hold on to a 1-0 lead. It is been disappointing and not just from the result point of view.

Just like the Stoke game, they get one chance and nick a point. Oh well, encouraging performance.

i didn't see this being discussed but i thought Rojo missed a good chance with Cech almost froze and didn't have much time to react to the header.
Yes, he should have buried that. He was completely unmarked. Rooney or Pogba would have scored there.

Im wasting my time with you if you can't even hear properly.

Maybe we do but we also play a lot better with Carrick there. So the improvement might be down to that.

Absolutely gutted with that result. It was a fantastic performance. Controlled the game completely. Built pressure and were rewarded with a really well taken goal.

Against a back 4 of Valencia, Jones, Rojo and Darmian, Arsenal didn't look a threat at all. That's a really good sign for the defensive organisation of the team. Just need to keep the faith and not let results influence where the club is going.

A winning mentality is built over time. After the last 3 years, this team doesn't have it.

Over it now lads. Got to be honest though i'm glad the missus and daughter are away today as I was going mental after Giroud scored, was throwing whatever I could find at the couch. We're looking much better it has to be said.

arsenal are a disgrace. i had some
hope you might stop liverpool winning the league, but after today it's obvious you're as toothless and useless as ever under wenger and stole a point. we have to put our hope in chelsea now.

The thing that I don't get is why so many people are still keeping Mourinho free of all blame.

I don't get the excuses, he was woefull last year at Chelsea and it seems like that just continued at United. I don't buy all the nonsense that a manager needs soo much time to turn things around, I mean look at Conte, he found Chelsea in a much more dire state than we were (Mourinho to blame for that btw) but after a couple of months (which is the real time a manager needs imo) he completley put them back on the tracks and he will be getting top 4 and he has a chance to grab the title unlike Mourinho who just continues losing games he should be winning and by now we are so much behind, title is nearly impossible and top 4 is highly unlikley.

Fact is this Mourinho is just a shadow of the trainer he used to be when managing Chelsea in his first period.

In a time that a outsider wins the presidency and the Cubs win the World Series maybe it will be there year Liverpool

I probably would have taken a draw before the game. But after watching that, we deserved to win, but in the end sat back to much after taking the lead and it eventually cost us 2 points.

In future, we should not use the Park Bus tactic.
We should go for the jugular. 3 goals at an absolute minimum.
We just should not take our foot off the throttle.

Every time we score a goal and think, "lets park the bus", the opponent scores against us.
I think Stoke scored in that fashion.

We call it bad luck, but I think we need to accept that as a team we are not capable of getting a narrow 1-0 win.
Our target should always be to score at least 3 goals a game.

Why da hell would he send Darmian off when that tackle on Walcott when he already had a yellow was his first tackle after yellow and he barely even touched him.

Show me the part where i said that ref was to blame for our previous games.

Barely even touched him ?

He went in with stretched leg, studs first, right on Walcott's foot. Not only was he completley too late, he even deserved a sending off for the intention alone. Could have gotten a straight red card for that but the ref didn't even give him a second yellow. He was very lucky there to still be on the pitch.

I'm looking at the table right now.
Had we won against Burnley, Stoke and AFC, we'd be in joint 2nd place.
AAARRGGGGHHHH....

He was referring to the first booking in which there was 0 contact on Walcott
