Gaming Pokémon Strumfest

Yeah I need to have a reshuffle, running Grovyle, Metang, Gabite, Dugtrio, Roggenrola and Charmeleon at the moment, but need to get a proper team going.

I almost wish they had restricted the bank until later in the story or something.

Think I actually just missed a Skarmory on the dexnav, saw the shadow and looked like it, but I was on my bike and when I jumped off it scared it away :(

When I collected them originally I kept the holos together.

Yeah I like seeing all the holos together, its exciting.

Thanks, I wanted to do this but needed convincing. Going to put them in type groups so the sets and artworks are all mixed up. Someones folder I won on ebay turned up today and it was full of gems, could have easily doubled my money and then some.

Cheers for the Skarmoury Cooksen!

Just went through the "One Hit KO" room in the Petalberg Gym, he used a Dire Hit and I Force Palmed his Zangoose through the wall. I guess it was the One Hit KO room, 2k15bantz.

Handy for just getting stronger mons, or egg moves, or rare items. Nabbed a Skarmory with a Metal Coat earlier.

Yeah it's a cool feature!

I also love how you can fly to routes and towns right from the town map.

Firing up Omega Ruby for the first time! Now just need to think about what team I'm gonna build.

I'm beginning to think the polish on this might make it the best modern pokemon yet.

Only thing I don't like is now it seems May pops up every10 seconds and forces you to the next story point without you having to find it, and you seem to get healed every half route. I still haven't used the fecking potion that the bloke gives you in the first town.

Yeah I've been in no danger once, although I went through X without losing a single battle too.

You don't seem to get awful long slogs through caves, they used to genuinely be horrendous in the early games, it makes trying to catch them all much more manageable but the game much much easier as a whole.

So, this'll sound a bit odd but are clothes shops in this one?

No, I think I remember reading somewhere that there's no character customization in this one. But you can get a Pikachu which changes clothes which I'm sure will more than make up for it.

Feck, I don't know why they don't just make Pikachu have 150 in every base stat. All these gimmicks and random power moves they give it..... Maybe then everyone will use it, as they apparently want.

 Yeah its amazing that despite it getting something unique every gen, Pikachu (and Raichu) is still an awful pokemon to use.

Just defeated the Elite 4 and Champion, now I can crack on with the real tasks. Catching every single one of these little feckers.

I still only have 3 badges! So much fecking about.

Yeah, to be honest I kinda wanted to get through it so I raided my bank took two pokemon at level 90 and 4 at level 100

It's the catching and breeding and collecting that I enjoy most anyway, especially with how easy the new games stories are.

Kind of opposite methods, but the same mindset, I think.

I'm so slow because of how much time I'm spending catching and collecting. I caught 15-20 Skarmorys, picked one for my team(with 2 perfect IV's) and now that I've used it for a bit, I'm not sure I'll bother keeping it.

Decided to soft-reset my Latios a bit(how feckin annoying), despite only getting a neutral nature, I gave up about here.

Could actually EV pump it's Attack rather than Special Attack, and make a powerhouse mixed sweeper. Especially if I use it's mega, despite how shite it looks.

Soft resetting really is a pain in the ass in this game. You have to watch and click through an 8 minute cut scene after catching the box legendary (Groudon/Kyogre) to view its stats and nature. I highly recommend bringing in a synchronizer and use the master ball if you're planning to soft reset the box legendary for good stats/nature.

(Just as a heads up on what to expect)
