Gaming Pokémon Strumfest

If someone has a good ol' edited black or white ROM, I wouldn't mind checking the link for you if you PM me, I'm a classy guy like that.

Hal described it well, sounds like the game I've wanted for ages.

They're fun hacks. I like some of the ones they carve an entire new story, and map out of the games too, though sometimes they're just fecked up.
 
A like minded PM would be grand. Can never have too many people reporting these horrible things.

FWIW, you can get the Advanced Pokémon games with mods like that too, IIRC they're called the 386 hacks, but you can also get ones with the harder trainers and the like, IIRC Fire Red's is called Omega.

There were some fellows making Pokemon games where you played as Rockets. One class one that never got finished had you start with a Ratatta.
 
Played Omega for a while last year. Really fun being able to use pretty much whatever pokemon you want, but I stopped playing sometime before X&Y came out.
 
I had a search about and there looks to be quite a good one out, but not 100% finished called Pokemon Adventure Red: Red Story, which is a hack of Fire Red to make the story follow the manga, similar to what Yellow done with the tv show.

Never followed the manga myself, but sounds interesting.

The Manga's quite interesting but levels, as with the TV series, appear to mean feck all.

Not exactly, they're hybrids(they still won't have the full pokemon selection), usually with extra/extended story.

In Yellow's case, it's more following the tv series, Jessie/James and Meowth pop up often, you have to start with Pikachu(and he can't evolve without being traded) but can get all three of the starters through the game.
 
Well I was doing well on red, hadn't saved, caught a pikachu (didnt even know you could), and then the page closed. fecks sake.

Everyone who goes down there is slowly dying so far, my brother is pretty much bedbound, his mate is nowhere to be seen, my dad has turned into the unluckiest person ever, cutting fingers, arms, face, and becoming ill too :lol: Nobody else dare go down now apart from me and my brother. I haven't came across a gameboy or any consoles yet actually, but we still have 3 more rooms to dig through, cleared 3/6 rooms so far.

Yeah, I'd only invested 30-45mins into it luckily. Or else I would have been going proper mental.

Yeah I got overexcited when I caught it ffs. It was only a little level 3er, but man, I would have pwned! Nearly had my daft thingy upto a beedrill too I think, so would have smashed the first leader, and pikachu would have annihilated the 2nd.

It's surprising, nothing majorly bad has happened to me yet... well apart from this bloody pokeprick thing! Argh!

Still haven't even broke into the secret room yet either :lol: I could actually be responsible for the end of the world as we know it.

Well make sure you video it as it happens, just in case you die or anything I want to find out what happens.
 
I'll probably stream it live tbh. So the people watching can get a heads up on what horrors I have unleashed!

Or i might just find a real life Pokemon. feck, I hope it's a magikarp :drool: I will rule the world!
