I'm really convinced he's going to make a 'speedy recovery' and be ready to face Liverpool
Can put my house on it not happening. He just started putting on his hamstring. No chance he recovers in time.

Banned from playing basketball? Good. When he starts putting football first he'll be a fantastic player.

Agree. Just think of how great a fighter Manny Pacquiao could have been had he never played basketball and concentrated on boxing..

What's your point? - Pogba is a very good player but still has a lot to do. He's not Manny Pacquiao in footballing terms, is he? He could be and all it will take is for him to really focus on the important stuff. The haircuts, Twitter, Youtube, basketball are all distractions. He's been very good this season but not as good as De Bruyne and he got injured because of what he does outside of football. It's easy to see why Fergie had doubts and I think Mourinho is probably a bit disappointed with him too. That's not to say Mourinho wants him out, it's just obvious that Pogba could be better if he cancelled the circus act.

Can we stitch a lock of Zlatan's hair onto him until he recovers? He'd probably be fit next week then.

Yeah, those aren't sports. Come at me!

No, feck that. Let's not have that discussion again.
They are, just as chess, bowls, and every other non-athletic competitive activity is a sport.

Pogba played only 4 matches in the league and gets 2 goals and 3 assists in them how can you say KDB is better if he played more than him ?

Second, these things aren't distracting him as his performance is good. What do you want him to do ? To stay the 24 hours on the training pitch and does nothing except training and playing football ? He's a young guy and he's free to do what else he wants in his life. I agree, though, he should atop playing basketball as it may increases his injuries but other than this all these haircuts and tweets he's 100% free to do them as any normal person enjoying his life.

I don't think any of us does nothing except working/studying just to prove he's focused on his work, do they ? This isn't a prison.

El3mel:

His performance is very good. Obviously. He's a good player. I maintain that the distractions are what are stopping him being the best there is. Fergie had the same issue with distractions and Beckham, who was less talented than Pogba but IMO was making a bit more of it than Pogba.

I'm not just going off United games, it's the same with France. There are games where the skills don't come off and he gets lost. I'd like to see him being able to fall back a bit on the basics and play his way into games or back into difficult games.

We'll see this season but no one would argue that he wasn't getting lost in the big games last season. I think he got babysat at Juventus and had a lot of players doing that for him (Vidal, Marchisio, Pirlo)

Saying that: I thought he'd be the best player in the league this season and he'll probably be close by the end.

It's good to get Beckham in the discussion because I want to ask has him focusing too much on his haircuts or what he looks affected his performance or made him distracted from the field ? I don't think so and he was still one of our most important players and a key factor in the team. What I want to tell is not all the players have the same personality. Some players want to enjoy their life away from the pitch and they're 100% free to do that because that's not a prison. You can't focus anyone to 100% focus on his work and does nothing else to avoid being "distracted". I highly doubt him doing a new haircut or tweeting about something will affect his performance on the pitch. He's a professional footballer and once he enters the pitch he puts all this aside and concentrate on the game, but outside the pitch he's free to do what he wants in his spare time.

I replied on the big games before. He was bad against Liverpool at home and Chelsea away, but he played well against Chelsea, Arsenal Spurs at home and at Anfield he created our best chance in the game. He didn't play against City, Arsenal and Spurs away when we decided to gave up on the league. I don't think he was that "lost". This argument arose after that Liverpool game at Old Trafford and any player can have off days here and there.

There's a fundamental misunderstanding of human nature in your post. Some players just have vibrant personalities. It is very clear that Pogba treats his body like a temple. He's not seen drinking, smoking, eating junk etc. He's lean, super fit, and has already achieved a ton in the game. His nature is to have fun and enjoy life, but there is no suggestion whatsoever that he does it to the detriment of his profession. In fact, quite contrarian to your post, anyone who has watched Pogba as a player over these last 12 months, will have noticed a tremendous evolution and maturity to his game. The unnecessary complications have ebbed away, and he's become a more effective and influential player. He's already the best midfielder of his age in the world. Give him a few more years and he should be even better.

To be honest, you're talking a lot of speculative nonsense.

Think he could play against Liverpool personally. I have heard a whole load of speculation and conjecture, but seen nothing to suggest this isn't your 'regular' hamstring injury.

He wasn't stretchered off, he walked quite comfortably, and has been putting weight on the leg for a while. He doesn't require surgery. I think our silence is causing journos to pull random numbers out.

He'll rejoin the squad when the players return from international break and make the bench vs Liverpool is my guess.

This nonsense again

I didn't watch the videos but why was he able to dance if he's only just started to put weight on the hamstring?

He wasn’t doing an intense river dance or somet, just a little dance

Is there a chance he plays against pool? Maybe all of this is for pool to prepare facing a united without Pogpa whereas he is actually ready to play?

The Sun claims he'll be out for another 2 months which makes no fecking sense

As ridiculous as it sounds, I was thinking the same thing. There's been some mystery concerning his absence. Journos could be being briefed only what Jose wants them to hear. He's certainly crafty enough to try something like that and have Liverpool spending weeks trying to prepare for all scenarios/team selections, sans Pogba.

I have no doubt he will miss the Liverpool game, may as well the Benfica one too. I'm waiting for him to be on the bench against Huddersfield. If he didn't make it I'll start to get worried.

Seems a bit arbitrary.

3 months out for a hammy injury that wasn't even severe enough to warrant surgery?

The thing about his running style sounds bollocks.

He never had these issues before.

Think it was SAF who questioned Jordan Henderson and his running style? Either way Giggsy should get him to take up Yoga!
