Of course he was going to go on tour, there is a good chance he will still be at United next year. What don't you get, he has said twice now in not so many words he wants to go and his bottom feeder agent has publicly stated he does wanna go.
There is really nothing to "get". It's obvious he want out (anyone can read a paper). What I'm debating is the importance of this "rebellion".

Lukaku does want to leave though.

So does Pogba. It's still absolutely bizarre linking what they are wearing with them wanting out. You don't need to analyse what they are wearing to know that they want to move on.

On a funny note, Carrick wears the same dress code as the players. He's coming back as a CM now to help United!

Him refusing to go on the tour opens up a whole new level of bitterness and possibly legal ramifications.

There's a reason you very rarely get players handing in transfer requests, never mind going on strike. it's not a good look PR wise and Pogba is all about PR.

I think you're massively in denial if you don't think Pogba not adhering to the dress code means anything. Of course it does.

Either he's doing it on purpose as a way to undermine Ole, or he's just thick and hasn't been paying attention to what Ole has been saying.
Again I think you're reading too much into it. He obviously wants to leave. Everyone knows this. Given that, what is the use of not following the dress code while still somewhat following the dress code (red tie and dress shirt)? Again it's extremely petty for literally no reason. It changes feck all.

When in public, they also make sure to look formal and properly represent their organisation. They may or may not have a dress code so that is why I used the example. Pogba in business terms is a simple employee and has to listen to his manager's demands.

Everyone else has so far done that - until now and considering what has happened throughout the summer, it's just another sign of what to expect from Pogba in terms of behaviour, attitude and application.
Look at what he's wearing. What kind of rebellion is that?

Lukaku had a pullover on as well. I guess that's the code for the players wanting to leave. Weird how a Tottenham fan is invested in the dress code of our players.
Lukaku had the club blazer on when dropping of the team bus and had a proper formal look that is expected from him. Pogba didn't, but feel free to make more excuses for him, you are entitled to that.

Mate, you are seriously underestimating the mind of his agent Raiola, who no doubt has instructed him on what measures to take in order to show his discontent in a manner that doesn't outrightly damage his image.

I see absolutely no reason for Pogba to not follow the dress code. Do you think there is any actual excuse to it?

I am not making excuses, just pointing out how needless this discussion is.

The squad has some pictures with Rashford, Lingard, Aaron, Axel, Gomes, Chong, Greenwood, Garner. Must be the "young" English / British lads group.
Lukaku was friend with Pogba but the episode with Jose created a fallout apparently. I thought Pogba was friend with Lingard but it looks like he is not trying to help him.

Young and Matic together as the oldies.

Lindelof, Andreas, Pereira, Smalling, Dalot in another picture, must be the defenders / foreigners / I just want to be with you guys group .

No i'm sure it's just a total coincidence the two players who have said they want to leave turned up ignoring the dress code by the manager.

Lukaku by all accounts did have the proper clobber on anyway. He just took the blazer off.

Maybe De Gea will signs this ridiculous contract then.

As pointless as the discussion is, is that not his blazer in his hand? Might've just took it off, it's a warm day.

Lukaku was dressed appropriately, that poster is ill informed or not telling the truth on purpose.

Is it not possible Pogba has his blazer in his garment bag and just took it off?

It's not ridiculous at all when we account for the situation the club is in and the manner that Pogba has acted throughout the summer, whilst allowing his agent to publicly undermine us.

If you know anything about what it means to present yourself in a formal matter in public places, look at Pogba's attire and tell me seriously what you think. White trainers with a messed up pullover, collar and tie? No club blazer?

There is no reason for him to be exempt from the expectations that Ole has of every player, they obviously all changed in the plane to be comfortable for the long flight.

It’s worth pointing out for balance that other players were pictured wearing the same black jumper underneath their blazers. Rojo, for one, was wearing trainers with his club suit. Which is a shit look, but footballers are seldom renowned for their quality dress sense.

If the instruction was to wear the blazer before boarding and he hasn’t done this then the hope is that he’s ‘dressed down’. But I wouldn’t be too quick to jump down his throat.

He wants to go and I'd be amazed if he's still here in September.

Once a player comes out and says he wants to go it's almost always game over. I just hope we take Madrid to the cleaners with the price tag.

Pogba is being dragged halfway round the world to make a point, when he'd rather be in Europe sorting his move out. And people expect him to be happy about it!?

I remember thinking Fergie had lost his mind when he done that , I should’ve known better!

I’m actually excited at the prospect of Pogba going and bringing in some new faces to liven/freshen things up

We did have Fergie as boss though, thats a big factor.

To make a point that he's a United player, preparing for the season with us? What did you expect us to do with him?
If a club makes a serious offer, that United are happy with, he'll go.
If not he needs to be ready for when the season starts.

Seems to me like there are some "fans" who support players rather than Clubs these days.

Some of the people saying he "deserves better" honestly it makes me feel physically sick.

The time of the fanboy is upon us.

What?

He's a currently a Utd player, paid a lot of money by Man Utd, and we're going on pre season. Why would he not be expected to go?

You're making it sound like he's being hard done by

He's probably not going to be with us next season, so why bring the whole squad down by bringing a sulking Paul along? And if he is somehow still here next season (because we won't sell him at a price suitors can afford) he's going to be strolling around, sulking and generally being a negative influence on the squad like never before.

100% agree with this. I cannot for the life of me understand any United fans favouring on the side of Pogba in any of this. He’s been garbage the vast majority of his time with us, earnt a fortune in wages and all the profile that comes with us. I’m surprised in some ways he’s on the plane given he wants out but glad to see we are not being pushed around and dictating the situation. Should be 2 weeks wages fine for those trainers with the suit as well,

Also, it's actually in our interest to get him sold ASAP so that we can focus properly on getting a replacement, and other signings, in. Dragging him on tour is only going to delay his departure meaning that we'll probably end up losing him with no time to get someone else in.

Us not taking Pogba on tour would be a message to everyone he's leaving which would drive the price down.

Taking him on pre season is us telling Madrid if they want him they have to spend big big money.

Like I said. He's our player, hes under a contract with us. If we don't sell him, we need him, its as simple as that.
