I was one of the biggest Pogba supporters on this forum, but I have no sympathy for him and his situation. Hopefully we won’t consider lowball offers, he’ll have to play well if he wants a move next summer. He doesn’t deserve any understanding from our officials like, for example, Ronaldo did.

He deserves less understanding than Herrera in my eyes, he might not be as good of a player, but at least he gave a shit when he played.

We should implement a “not selling anyone to Madrid, ever” policy.
That clause should be in every player’s contract.
We should also start raiding their academy, just offer them double wages.

They are wankers. They would want more off us for their back up keeper

We should implement a stop buying a Raiola player policy. It’s very predictable and always ends in tears.

I don’t see why people think Real are getting him. They certainly can’t pay for him until they sell a shit tonne of players. Juve sporting director has been over here and they are now being linked by the times with the first reasonable bid of £120m. He’s definitely going back there if he does go.

If Ole is covering for Woodward then he is lying to the fans. There are no two ways about it. If Woodward is fecking about and Ole exposes that people will riot if Ole is fired. So Ole holds the cards.
Maybe Ole is 'covering' for Woodward to show a brave face for the sake of club and not trying to highlight the problems that are going on behind the scenes because he cares for the club and is trying to make the best of the hand he has been dealt. But this is just what I think could be going on which my or may not be the case and we may only find out if Ole exposes if he gets sacked.

Hope someone offers £120m+ for him and we let him go. He's not worth the hassle.

Just an update of the situation as reported in the media for anyone wanting summary or highlights:

No offence to Americans but I cannot stand ESPN and their pundits they talk absolute nonsense especially the guy Moreno .

Ha its true. He's not saying much wrong in the video though.

Probably the best course of action for everyone involved. Real Madrid obviously decided to insult us with 80m offer, so Juve's initial bid of 120m can easily be negiotated to 140m in my opinion - still a hundred million below his real value, but that's the best we'll get I'm afraid. Unfortunately, there's no way back for Paul at this point. He's taken rather aggressive stance and seems to force his way out of the club. The manner and timing are unfortunate, but it's an understandable decision. We've failed him, the project he was brought to never took off. Personally, I choose to forget this ugly ending (just hoping it's resolved soon) and remember some of those world class performances in Manchester United shirt.

I know we're all a bit agitated right now, but don't be surprised to see Paul win Ballon d'Or in couple of years. Return to Juve is perfect for him - familiar club where he's beloved by fans and staff, offensive manager, world class players all around him, and most importantly: leading, legendary personalities like CR7, Buffon, or Chiellini. These veterans won't allow anything else but 100% focus and effort, just like we've seen more focused and disciplined Paul while Zlatan was still here. Where are our veteran leaders now? Ashley Young? Yeah, exactly...

Pogba should never be mentioned in the same breath as Scholes unless the other words are "not even close to lacing" and "boots"
That’s not really true though. The numbers Pogba provides are better than Scholes did and his international career is already significantly better. Plus the deep-lying version of Scholes formed pretty late in his career. Technically, he can do pretty much everything Scholes did and then some, although he lacks proper mentality and intelligence to maximize his potential.

Scholes did more for United than Pogba did or will ever do for us. That's what I care about all honestly in such comparison.

After the comments about wanting a new challenge and apparently refusing to travel to Oz then I can’t see how he can play for us again...he’d be boo’d to feck.

Cut or losses, get rid of the prick and try and sign some cnuts.

It is one of the less interesting transfer saga tbh. The last decent one was DDG and he was bloody marvellous on the pitch, the thought of losing Dave was heartbreaking! until the fax machine saved the day.

Losing Pogba...meh!

No way, they’d have to be successful for that to happen and if they were successful it will be more likely down to Ronaldo.

If he leaves, he will really not be that missed. In terms of looking back fondly at his time here. His WC performances were limited for us and he’s more than likely going to refuse to go on tour if we don’t get a sensible offer for him. Best of luck elsewhere tbh, we need a fresh start.

Cant see the logic of keeping a player if he wants to move , Madrid and Pogba is a match made in heaven .

Ed needs to go and look for his lost balls, because he looks like he hasn't got any.

Just tell Madrid or whoever who is interested, 150 million non-negotiable. We are not a poor club, we are not desperate for money and Pogba still has 3 years left. We are in a strong bargaining position.

Oh and yeah, Mino Raiola, you can feck off.

Ronaldo isn't getting any younger, and the reason why Juve failed in CL is because of their overly conservative manager (who got sacked despite winning 4 domestic doubles in a row) and lack of midfield creativity to support CR7 - and there's no one better for incisive through balls than PP. If they're actually getting de Ligt too, the guy who knocked them out of CL last season, they're definitely top favourites for the competition.

So yeah, I guess we'll see. But I can easily imagine Juve breaking their CL curse within next two seasons, with Paul being the #1 contributor.

He will never be a part of any rebuild as even if he stays next season, next summer will be more of the same. He will inevitably leave.

Try to get the highest price we can from him and buy proper players that are interested in this "rebuild".

Forcing a player who wants to leave to stay. Especially a player whose value (for us, at least) has lied largely in his marketability, rather than his actual performances. Feck off this club

I’ll admit that I’m one of the people that thought Jose was the problem with him, but after the past few months have happened, I’m not fond of this fecker. He can get fecked along with his Don King-like agent. I can count the amount of times he significantly changed a game on its head with one hand.

That's very naive of the club not to prepare for the possibility he might go. Infact the writing has been on the wall since we failed to reach CL and after the episode with fans abuse on final day.
For sure. Though saying the club were naive is much too kind. We let player power rule. Something that SAF weeded out of the club and Woodward allowed back in.

We've failed him? Surely you are just trolling at this point.

Nothing's changed, we hold the cards and if they are desperate then they will have to pay up. Just because his agent talked to the press does not mean we have to scramble to offload him at a discount.

You're out to lunch

If he doesn't travel with the squad to Australia and Madrid don't stump up £150m he should be benched all season or be sent on loan to a Championship team until Madrid answer his SOS. Absolutely no chance those jokers are getting him on the cheap despite being done here.

No, this is perfect. It shows that we aren’t going to be mugged off. We aren’t going to accept a lesser fee. If Madrid/Juventus want him, they’ll have to pay our asking price. feck all of them.

Yeah it will be easy to remember his world class performance in our shirt because they can be counted on 2 hands.

I don't disagree about having a firm stance regarding this cnutish behavior. I'm disagreeing about this rebuild part.

JUST NO.

Nobody gives that much of a shit that's he's leaving. We all expected it. It's the fact the coward didn't tell Ole in May he was leaving. Our transfer plans have been based on thinking he would stay. We've missed Ndomboule and potentially Tielamens because of it.

Pogba had fecked us. Moreover, if he does in fact skip the preseason to Oz that's some serious lack of professionalism.

That's the problem. Not the fact he might want to leave to a currently more successful club.

Pogba hasn't cost us any signings. We should have a midfield with players as good as Ndombele and Tielemans already or we should be signing of that quality to complement Pogba any way. The reason Pogba want to leave and by the looks of it, big players are reluctant to join is because of the continued lack of investment and poor managerial decisions.

He has plenty to lose. Firstly, he will have to perform and actually start covering ground. I am sure we will see a different United this season, so half-arsed performances by Paul will be quite noticeable. Being benched will really leave a couple of deep scratches on his charisma as well as his chances of playing for France in European championship. Doubt he will command much of respect in the dressing room, after all the comments by himself and his agent. This time around Pogba will have to adapt to the atmosphere in the dressing and not vice versa. He and his agent are quite vocal in their wish of moving elsewhere, but United hold all the cards. Bring the money and feck off. No money, then stay in the team and actually perform or warm the bench. In latter case it will just show that he is not good enough to play in a team that finished 6th last season. So, in fact it seems to be a win-win case for United, but not for Pog or Raiola.
Yep, the right thing to do is to say bring 200m GBP. 350m GBP for Real Madrid and Juventus because they are trying to f*** us.
If Mino is ready to throw a chair, I would bring the chair myself and throw it in front of him too! And ask him if he wants to throw another one.
