Did anyone hear talksport interview Harry Rednap the morning after Pogba dropped the new challenge comments? Banged to rights Rednapp said (I paraphrase) what challenge is he going to get elsewhere that is bigger than he has here, he has failed to prove himself, he is at one of the biggest clubs in the world with an opportunity to do something and he would rather bottle it.

Yes, and he was spot on. Though to be fair to Pogba, we aren’t showing much ambition at the moment and won’t be winning anything significant any time soon. That said, I hope this is a real wake-up call to the owners and management. This great club is being dragged down by greed and incompetence, that’s a toxic mix if ever there was one.

That's bad for us then. He's inconsistent when he's trying, he's not gonna be great when he isn't. If we buy a few midfielders he might not make the lineup.

Doesnt hurt us, he is on a 25% pay cut like rest of the squad. I am sure we will Get creative players like Bruno here and won't be solely dependent on pogba to create which he fails to as well against parked defenses.

My initial reaction is to let him go ASAP. The club needs to move forward one way or another. Me second thoughts goes to Solskjær’s interview. If reports are to be believed then Ole knew about this when he made the in house interview. Why trying so hard to act over positive? I can’t get it. Either he’s stupid or trying to play mind games. Why do the interview in the first place? How about to first make some quality signings. Both AWB and Maguire. Make a statement. Then do interviews.

Pogba and Lukaku has both in public said they wants out. Raiola has confirmed it. DDG hasn’t signed his new contract yet. Herrera didn’t stay. Reports about Matic. Sánchez criticizes us. We have several quality players who don’t want to play for us.

Ok. Take away emotions and take a deep breath.

You sooner we can sell Pogba and Lukaku the better. I don’t know what a reasonable price is but the important part isn’t what we get, it’s what we have to pay to get proper replacements.

It’s hard to know the way forward but my shot would be three of Dani Ceballos, Dani Olmo, James Maddison, Bruno Fernandez, Sean Longstaff. We should definitely go for younger talents.

I absolutely hate the fact that some of you want to keep him. Have some pride, football results isn't everything.

We could sell Lukaku, but I doubt it. And Pogba, I am pretty certain there is no way anyone pays up the 180m GBP we would be asking, or more. So he's not moving. Plenty of players have tried but I would be surprised if they would be able to hurt their marketing value that much by sulking that long... Adidas will have a say in this, and for Adidas, United needs to keep big names to still be a good investment.

That's so negative and a mess of a post. i was gonna reply but i don't even know where to start.

The pride is to say the f**** to keep it still as the contract is the legal paperwork.

If it wasn’t we wouldn’t be such an upset bunch. This is football not church.

Exactly, the loyalty of the fans should always be to the club, no matter what.

I'm pretty sure that he came back only because madrid didn't want to pay up a couple of years ago, there were some reports at some point. We paid a world record fee for him and he couldn't be arsed giving his all in here.

And now, when it's clear that he doesn't give a shit, you have "fans" in here crying his future departure. pathetic.

Adidas have feck all say in anything to do with players coming and going. They’re only sponsors.

“United sign Bob Fleming from Emmerdale Farm because Tractors’R’Us demanded it...” it’s ludicrous

Bad for us but much much worse for him if we drop him. Think of how much of his salary is tied up/dependent on appearances, goals, assists and sponsors want their man to be in the limelight as much as possible.

This is good news. The fact that he has publicly committed to leaving means someone is ready to cough up the right dough. Show us 120m and he’s yours. He can’t be part of any new era with his stinking attitude. Good riddance!

Doesnt hurt us, he is on a 25% pay cut like rest of the squad. I am sure we will Get creative players like Bruno here and won't be solely dependent on pogba to create which he fails to as well against parked defenses.
You have more confidence in the man United management than I do.

Feck him - piss off somewhere else you mercenary prick. Got no time for him whatsoever, the quicker he is out the door the better IMO

Of course, the comments can be explained as misinterpreted...'Paul just wanted to move on from all the negativity that had been surrounding him...everyone in the club knows this..'.....er, or not. If the Pog really wants to move, get rid. Shirt first...love it or leave.

I have no problem in Pogba leaving, but on our terms. feck Madrid, Raiola and the clown Pogba. When Juventus quoted a price for him we obliged and paid what was needed, either Madrid do the same or he fulfills his contract obligations and shuts up.

Jose being vindicated almost daily now! Still had to go though.

Agreed.

After Raiola's ridiculous comments, we should trade Pogba (and maybe Dalot/money) to PSG for Neymar. If he refuses to go, play youth and bench him for the next two years. This is the biggest club in the world, what is wrong this guy?

Plenty of people I’ve worked with have wanted to leave the job but have stuck it out and been professional. Why can’t footballers be obliged to the same? If no one pays the money United want then he says, and he performs to the maximum of his abilities. It’s irrelevant if he ‘wants to go’ - he’s paid to do a job.

Zero problems with him leaving. Better be on our terms. He's a complete clown and should have been binned with Mourinho. They're both the same character ironically.

My worry is how we'll spend the money on other players.

He has three years left on his contract. We hold the power here.

If no club meet our valuation then he won’t be sold, it’s as simple as that. He will have to knuckle down and get on with it.

We payed a world record fee and what have we got from him in return? A handful of good performances and a toxic dressing room.

He was supposed to be one of the best players in the world. I just don’t see it. He doesn’t take the game by the scruff of the neck, he lacks leadership and has no bottle.

I just don’t get people that defend him. Roy Keane was twice the player he is.

Pogba is an individual, and this is a team game. I would rather have a fluid midfield with good players working for each other, than one decent player showboating when he feels like it. Let him go and use the money for improvements. Maddison, Fernandes, Partey. We could near enough sign all 3 with the Pogba money. Time to move on and build a team.

In other words, a reverse Messi. He does all of those things for his NT, just not often enough for us.

So, you're pleased because in your opinion, the club will perform poorly without Pogba and some fans who don't like him will get their comeuppance?

Good to know.
It’s not an opinion that the guy was the fulcrum in an underachieving side & we’re about to sell him.

I’m a ‘supporter’ of the club & it’s players; the atmosphere around Pogba has been about far more than his ability.

If a fan is ‘happy’ we as a club are in this position of having to sell our best player then I’m at a loss.

All parties have played their part in this.

Unless you are Ed Woodward then you cannot possibly know how the funds will be used, as for your opening comments it seems you are looking forward to the team performing badly in which case you can join all the other plastic fans over at Man City.
I’d honour the beginning of your post with a response but ‘plastic fan’ cause you differ in opinion - alright mate.

Lay off it. Just because he see us as a better team with a top quality players doesn’t mean he deserves to go support City. Stop trying to make yourself seem like the big man.
Thank you.

Someone who read my comment.

I don’t want United to lose, I’m saying selling Pogba whilst keeping others means we’re more than likely to do so.

The guy is disrespecting the club and people still talk like this. Unbelievable. Instead of bringing a good offer if he wants to feck off, he's trying to force us to sell him for a lower price by going full public about it, first him and now his agent.

I don't care much about what we will do without him. He's not intending to leave on good terms with the club (for the second time, ironcially enough). Feck him all honestly.
I’ve been a ‘reader’ of this forum for years.

I’d suggest ‘we’ [loosely termed as I received a ‘Quality Control’ warning for having a differing opinion] take a revisionist look at the way club legends like Wayne Rooney are spoken about on here before we start with the moral high ground on people believing Pogba can be acting unprofessionally [which he is] whilst also thinking fans that want him out the club before the likes of Matic are the ones with a Quality Control issue.

Christ this is such a pathetic comment.
I daren’t reply.

Is there not a Paul Pogba forum you can post this gleeful take on our supposed demise on?
I support this club, I have every right to have a differing opinion.

People have read into 3 sentences as if I’m the Zodiac killer.

Selling Pogba will not make us better on the pitch & his reporter replacement Bruno is not a better player.

I believe [yes I am allowed an opinion] that people who have been championing his departure at this point are aiming their disappointment at the wrong player - one more season of pogba with good recruitment/sales in the next few windows would be my ideal but it’s looking impossible now.

There’s a post about fans being spoilt; think that’s rather apt seeing how I’ve been jumped on. If we sell Pogba no one better is coming in, we’re in the position of power here & should act accordingly.

This comment is embarrassing. I don't see how any actual United fan can think like this, modern fan-boyism at its' worst. :wenger:
Similar to the above. Not worth the reply.

Fan-boy because I believe one of our [yes, he plays for OUR club - or at least did] has been unfairly singled out - alright mate.

In the spirit of insulting the post rather than the poster, your post is an idiot.
Useful.

The state of this.

I hope he fecks off and takes 'supporters' like you with him.
I can’t support one of our players & the club at the same time? yea ok.

A message to the wolves that tried to surround my short post made while waiting for my missus to get the tonic from sainsbury's.

I can do more than one thing at a time. I have supported this club for decades, and have also supported the clubs players.

Believe it or not, they aren’t mutually exclusive - I can support my club whilst believing selling our best player & pretending it’s a good thing is ridiculous.

He’s not likely to knuckle down though is he? Your following paragraph contradicts it. This is an absolute bloody mess.

Ita true and you know what's worse we actually question his commitment when he even cut his holiday short after world cup to return for the first matchday like last year.

I can't even begin to imagine how good he is when he is freed to do one job and not other players jobs at the same time. unfortunately I think it might be too late to happen here.
Not true at all. All this being free to do his job is bollocks. How many players does he need to do his famous job, about 4 or 5?

Pizza boy can say whatever he wants, the fact of the matter is that Pogba isnt going anywhere until one of his suitors pays his valuation, which is more than generous might I add in a market where the likes of Longstaff and Maguire are being quoted at 50m and 90m pounds by their respective clubs.

The club shouldn't be bullied or taken to the cleaners for the little quality we have in the squad, been getting robbed blind by other clubs for far too long while selling clubs never do us any similar favors

The pride is to say the f**** to keep it still as the contract is the legal paperwork.

No, that would only be pitiful. Get rid of the toxin and get paid doing so. I couldn't care less if that is what Pogba wants, put the club's interests above his.

No, you can't. Some people can, but you can't.

As demonstrated by the fact that you want the club to do badly to prove your point about your precious Paul.

I’m actually pleased this is happening. A chance for the Anti-Pogba brigade to get what they deserve.

We are not going to be a better side when our midfield still includes Matic & Fred.

Fernandes is not a better player & we won’t be using the funds from this transfer as an addition to funds we should already be spending.

He can go, but I'd want players in return that want to play for us. No point getting good money for Pogba then getting ripped off for replacements because teams know we have the money.

The likes of Hazard and Coutinho both handed in transfer requests 6 months to a year before they ended up being allowed to go to Spain on their clubs own terms so I don't see how today's news changes anything.

Juve or Real need to put up or shut up,if the roles were reversed, they'd never in a million years give us a discount and make it easy for us. (See the Morata/Vidal/Pogba negotiations) Why should we?

I was a Staunch pogba supporter amidst all the Jose fall out and was sure he would stay so we could build around him...however he has showed his true colours now with this recent statement through his fat prick of an agent.

This mercenary went away on international duty had his head turned and downed tools for the rest of the season. He has disrespected the club, disrespected the fans..and cannot be defended ANYMORE.

He must be sold take his circus, and mercenary agent with him. Good riddance but rinse the buying club royally.
