Gaming PlayStation 5

Miles has disappeared from my console. I played the first mission so it definitely installed.

I'm wondering if there is a problem with that game atm. Apparently it's one of the main culprits for causing crashes when putting the console into rest mode and after I played it I had to reset the console to install Sackboy.
 
So with the FIFA 21 'free upgrade' - is it worth buying the PS4 version on Amazon for £32 and having a free upgrade when the PS5 version is out?
 
I absolutely love this controller, fantastic step forward and instantly comfortable. Can’t wait to get into this properly over the weekend.

Possible overheating sue to poor airflow though which made fans work harder at same time? Maybe a few contributing factors. Try the same part of astrobit but with ps5 in different location and let us know the results

I've get a pic later if I can be bothered, but basically ours is next to the tv on a side table standing with the X. We can have it on it's side as we have an open glass tv stand, but for now I have a 360, PRO, WiiU and Switch all under it and can't be arsed to move anything yet :lol:

(Plus the PS5 looks like arse on it's side)
 
Yeah the controller is miles better than DS4. Really strong effort. D-pad much better though I'd like it to be a bit more clicky but still decent, and general shape and weight is pretty perfect.

The pause, mute and PS buttons are in awkward positions but they don't matter to gameplay much so not a big deal. It's held back by not having asymmetrical sticks though for me.

Why is the Wii U still there when you've got Switch? Nintendo land?

Feel like almost everything else has been put on Switch by now.

360 I'll accept and assume you are playing Blur on it as a travesty that we can't get that backwards compatible, nevermind a remaster/sequel
 
Astro really has a lot of charm. Not a huge fan of platformers but having a lot of fun with it.
 
So there is definitely an issue with copying disc data over. The console recognises the progress I made in Miles but now is fully reinstalling. Unfortunately Sackboy disappeared in a similar way as soon as I removed the disc.

Am I installing things incorrectly or is the console fecked?

Are you leaving it to fully install? I think it becomes playable after a certain amount has been installed but it usually installs the rest while you’re playing.

2 360's :lol: (One ours, one my little sis in law's which I still need to look at and fix actually!)

I rotate my machines around a lot, but this year I've slacked. At any moment there could be a snes (the mini is under there right now too thinking on it), or N64, or before the WiiU went back up I had a classic Xbox in there. The WiiU went back in primarily for ZombieU and Hyrule Warriors for the missus (before I just got her the switch version anyway like a total suck up!), but it was useful recently for that side by side MK8 comparison.

Oh and to make you laugh even more, I currently have 3 desktops set up for lan Phasmophia gaming with my sons. When I get the pic up, you'll see some shocking cable management as I have to keep switching around lan connections to all the fecking machines! I'm such a nerd! :lol:

Yep, I agree. I've always hated the PS controllers, and although I still prefer the stick positions on the Xbox, this controller is much better than any DS before.
 
My Tv seems to have the options of HDR mode on Auto, HDR10 (which looks overly saturated) and HLG. Anyone know what I should use? No idea with this stuff. I don’t even know if I’m playing in 4k

My brother just suggested that. Reinstalling Miles now so I'll play that for a while to make sure it's fully installed.

Stock informer and discord. I think after today nobody is going to announce they have stock and just put them up when they got it which is the best way for me because means people are not prepared with bots

Yeah I've done that. Mainly because for no particular reason i had the PS4 Astro background where they wave and my 2 year old became obsessed with it. He was mesmerised earlier by all the little robots.

Got to indoctrinate them into Sony early see.

Well, officially my ps5 got stolen today by Amazon driver together with the one for @OCD Guy

Refund took place and if your parcels go through North London be careful, seems an outlaw is collecting ps5s....

Of course they didn't confirm he stole it, but seeing as I was reached back within 1 hour of escalating like crazy, with instant refund and a disclaimer together with a massive email from some top dog:

"The details of this incident have been passed onto Senior Management at the carrier who are in the initial stages of a full investigation of the driver’s behaviour and will be taking the appropriate actions. Unfortunately we will be unable to share the details of this investigation with you for data protection reasons."

Looks like a freaking mess to try to push it forward with only my word of seeing the dude driving away with the box after scanning it.

Can't wait for the other one coming tomorrow to be gone as well so the guy can have one for his dog - which pretty sure it's a stolen pure breed retriever or something.

Mine has been stolen by someone at Amazon.

I got a package with a 7.5kg weight label and it had a Stanley Fatmax Toolbag in it. The label was ripped as well so it looks like someone at the centre has took a part of my label and put it on another box possibly?

Amazon basically telling me they will refund me but there's no stock for a replacement.

My order has randomly shown as delivered, when I've not had. I've contacted Amazon but they've told me there is a "waiting period" before they can investigate it.

I am so pissed off.

I had an estimated delivery of 8am to 9:45am this morning, he was then 7 stops away, but the message changed to something like " driver has a few more deliveries before he get's to you" then 5 minutes later I receive an email telling me my ps5 has been delivered and asking me how my delivery was.

Clearly been stolen. I saw others have had passcodes, amazon should have done this with every order. It protects them as much as the customer.

One of my two tracking numbers (for the same delivery)still says it was scanned in France at 2am. Neither have updated since but DPD say it should still be fine and not in France.

I remain unconvinced

Great, though I've purely been playing Astro. Whoever had the idea to include it in the console deserves a raise. Perfect homage to previous generations, perfect introduction to all the controller has to offer (the first time you are in rain is a particular 'woah' moment) and, by having pretty much everyone be able to play it including the developers of games, it should theoretically encourage third party usage of the DualSense features.

I can't get to the disc drive without lifting the console up and worried it'll come out of the stand every time I do :lol:

You could swap with the sky box slot above? No lip on that to catch the discs...

The rain stuff was great. It all works together so well, just hope Devs take advantage of it. I’d imagine with how much Sony have pushed it though they’ll be telling developers they have to utilise it.

Probably can't tell on the video but the shelf isn't even between the two, the slot with the Sky Q box is even smaller so not sure it'd fit at all

Not confident with the weight either

Northern Ireland. Found out yesterday they dicked around and missed launch day delivery, but it supposed to come tomorrow

DPD say they cant see anything unusual on their system, but for me the app tracking says
