Can't you just take the Argos one and make your bro wait since you pre ordered

For what it's worth I got my Amazon preorder. It came about 5pm. The bloke knocked and dropped it at the front door and fecked off. Luckily I heard to go get it.

Outer box had a huge tear in.

Not great service but it did come. Not sure what % they've messed up but obviously the ones who didn't receive are going to be a lot louder than those who did.

Argos were fine. Don’t see anyone having any problems with them besides one guy on resetera, but that was more his DHL driver not bothering to deliver.

Amazon a disaster all round. Sending emails at 8am on launch telling people it’s delayed especially after saying on Sunday they going to get it. I know there’s a pandemic, but surely they can communicate better on what is happening and tell people much earlier.
 
Just been charged for Demon Souls on shopto £69 is painful i hope its pushed down once they are established/wider available.

I originally hoped to order from Argos because in store collection/Argos vans seemed a reliable way to ensure launch day delivery and was a bit unsure about having the whole thing outsourced to CentreSoft who I had never heard of.

But apparently CentreSoft are very reliable and not having in store collection was a pretty wise move in the end due to the new lockdowns

Probably asked a thousand times but does anyone here work in videogame retail? Chances that new stock comes in prior to the new year?
 
Sold my PS4 last night so now just counting the days until 19th. I hope the big fecker fits in the shelf under my TV so I don't have to worry about dust.

It does seem a lot of these UK retailers are perfectly set up to service a launch on the 12th, so I wonder why the release date here is the 19th. Multiple places have PS5s sitting in their warehouse ready for dispatch. It'd be a nice November surprise if they bumped the launch here.

To reduce the strain on PSN.

With the digital console now being a thing they cannot risk another PS4 launch where people couldn't sign into the network or download things.
 
Nightmare from Shopto regarding my order,

So got my order confirmation in the early hours, everything looked good, checked the PDF invoice on the email and the shipping address is a mix of my new address and my old address, i just moved apartments in the last week so updated my Shopto order, but they've somehow managed to add two addresses on to the shipping, the only hope is most of it is my new address including post code :nervous:

Wish me luck !
 
My Amazon pre-orders of Miles Morales and the charging station both originally said they'd arrive on Thurs but now it says they've been dispatched for delivery on Friday.

Hope it's not the same with the PS5.

My MM weirdly hasn't even been dispatched yet but it still says it's coming tomorrow. I find that hard to believe as I've never seen that quick a turnaround for delivery to Ireland.

My items usually only dispatch on the day of delivery. Probably different for people in the UK and in the Manchester area in general as there's a massive Amazon warehouse near Old Trafford. I've even had things delivered the same day in the past.

I really don't care if the games get delayed a few days though. They're going to be a massive tease seeing as I can't even play them on PS4 while I wait.

I got the exact same. E-mail states arriving on Friday for my DualSense controller & Spider-Man MM but the website/app states that it is arriving tomorrow. God knows which one is right?

Doesn’t give me much hope with my PS5 from there either, especially after @VeevaVee experience with them yesterday.
 
I get Prime deliveries earlier than the website predicts all the time. It's actually a bit annoying.

Suppose its cool that its Rasford, but i'm sick of seeing actors/nfl players etc get the console before everyone else. I can understand the gaming press getting one, but the mass of celebs is grating.
