Gaming PlayStation 5

Looks like I’ll be getting my additional controller, Miles Morales and the Pulse Headset on Thursday. Ordered through Smyths and Amazon in case anyone is wondering about dispatch for such products

I cancelled my headset pre-order in the end. I will probably get one at some point, but my partner wanted to order some Christmas stuff for new house and did I really need a £90 headset to play Spiderman in single player? I would have liked a charging stand though, haven't seen this in stock for weeks

I've got Sony WH-1000MX3's and I'm waiting to see if my 3D experience is just as good wired first.
 
I'm guessing reviews will hit tomorrow.

I hope Demon's Souls is shit so I don't end up ordering it.
 
How can it be shit anyway? It's base is a game we already know to be critically acclaimed and it's not *that* old (ie. so old the mechanics and what not have aged terribly). And the graphics we've seen so far look fantastic.
 
Got the email from Smyth's and Amazon that my headset, charging dock and second Dualsense will be arriving tomorrow. The next week is gonna drag in having to see all these YouTube twats playing their PS5 games :wenger:
 
Jealous reading all these pre ordered posts. Meanwhile ill be playing rocket league and being called a noob

Im stuck at home self isolating until the 23rd. Will have to sit and watch the bloody Yanks tweet about their PS5s for the next week. Meanwhile UK stores are clearly ready to go for delivery on the 12th, but arent allowed to ship them
 
Anybody else caught in two minds? Not all of my friends are buying one for release day, so we all won't be able to crossplay as i had hoped, and knowing i could probably sell my PS5 for a decent profit and rebuy it in 6-9 months when they will include a game perhaps is quite tempting? I feel like there won't be enough people to play with for a while. :lol:

Nah. But with the exception of a weird obsession with Destiny 2, I am very much a single player gamer. That's what makes Playstation so great, Sony's huge focus on amazing single player games while so many publishers are churning out multiplayer/GAAS crap

Aye, I prefer single player, just get schooled at multiplayer on everything. I do love coop games though.

Same here. Fall Guys is a multiplayer one I did get into the first season as it is more accessible compared to other BRs, but haven't played it for a while now. GTA V I got into with the caf lot on launch as it is more of a co-op game but again, I haven't played that in ages too. Other than those, my games played are pretty much all single player.
 
I was tempted to get a ps5 but it doesn't even run bloodborne at 60fps. Until they fix this travesty I'm not getting one.

The worrying thing is that they don't know how may PS5's they're going to get from Sony yet so can't tell anybody when theirs will arrive. I hope other shops haven't done this as people may not be aware they're going to sit in a queue for a couple of months.

feck Scan.

Took £1599 from me promising something in September when I preordered it and nearly two months on and nothing here. It looks like I’d be waiting three months. Same with @Fortitude and few others on here.

Yeah, them and OCUK. Hopefully it's just Scan who have done this.

BTW - the item you're waiting for (3080 / 3090?). Mine arrives tomorrow after a 2 month wait, but ended up managing to get one that popped up on Amazon. I cancelled my pre-order a while ago.

Sony informed UK retailers of stock allocation about a month ago, how can they not know? Are they buying them from another store?

Before the launch Sony did not provide an allocation to any retailer. We were asked to take pre-orders and then report back to Sony. After this they would allocate stock based on these numbers. Unfortunately the demand far exceeded the amount of units that Sony could produce so they have had to allocate a percentage of the pre-orders taken to each retailer. Once Sony confirmed the amounts we would get for launch we sent out an email to all pre-order customers to let them know if they will get one for launch or not.

I'm trying to avoid buying a new TV until I buy a new house first.

Oh yeah I intend on getting a really nice TV in 6-12 months time, I was more concerned about the size of the screen being decent enough.
 



First guy to buy a PS4 got sent a PS5 by Sony. Pretty cool

But did this guy get five?
