Gaming PlayStation 5

1024 hours on Destiny for me. A fair chunk of that was stood at the entrance to The Vault of Glass final boss, waiting for Damo to arrive... :smirk:

I'm interested to see how many hours I sunk into ESO and The Division.
You got your PS5 on order?

Yeah, bud. ShopTo dropping on release day. Not ordered any games yet, though. Still got a fair bit of stuff I can go back and play from my PS4 library.

You still got your pre-order? I thought I read that you were considering dropping it. Something to do with VR, iirc?
Nah I'm still in but only mild enthusiasm. Wanna try out the controller for sure...

Ah, ok, cool.

I am still secretly hoping that a game drops that gets some kind of a crew together again. It's been too long without that kind of game. Maybe Destiny 3 will do it.
Anything good I'm down for a caf link up.

41 days for me playing the division. Over 1100 hours on Destiny 2 (spent at least 10 days AFK farming though)
Find your division stats from here

1302 hours on destiny 2 for me. Top 8%

This seemingly doesn't include my stadia hours which are likely to be around another 80-100.

1237 hours on D1.

I did a quick look but there didn’t seem to be a definitive answer. This new Destiny 2 expansion, are they releasing the game with that bundled or is it strictly an add on?

The games free, so you only need to buy the expansion

No 8k, VRR or ALLM at launch, despite these features being in the marketing for the console. Naughty. No 1440p either for people with gaming monitors.

I'm bored of the fanboy shite now  was funny for about a week.

Now it's just a yawnfest.

Just give us actual news and gameplay footage and stuff.

All you going through 20 articles to find one bad article about something to do with the console you're not in love with.

Just over 20 days for me.

Holy shit, mate!!

I expected you to likely have the most hours logged but that's batshit insane!
Incredibly, I've had a girlfriend for pretty much the entire time since the games released.

I’m sure the 3 people with 8k TVs will be devastated.

 yep

Half wonder if it was only mentioned cause it was a paid promotion for an LG 8K TV.

VRR and 1440p are bigger deals (tho obviously not big to many). It's not that they aren't there now but that we don't know if they will which is a bit annoying.

Don't think they've done a Xbox review video but they did say they'll be doing a PS5 Vs Series video at some point.

In the time since destiny launched in 2014, I've stayed married, my son has gone from 3 months old to 6.5 years old, I've managed to hold down a full time job and get promoted twice as well as being nominated by my students 3 times for lecturer of the year.

I also have largely got by on about 6 hours sleep on average during that time!

More fun knowing half the people that pick out these features like VRR, don't even know what they are and wouldn't notice it running anyway.

Screen tearing is still an alien concept to the majority of console gamers.

To be fair it’s mentioned because it says 8K on the retail box. Not that anybody was expecting anything 8k about both these consoles.

World isn’t ready for 8K. 4K isn’t even standard yet, so a long time for that.

Like I said, not a big deal to many.

Native 4k is an alien concept to console gamers

And 120fps

And loads of other shite that reviewers could and should consider.

Every ps5 review feels exactly the same, as if Sony have gave them a script to stick to and read from.

Can't help but watch them all anyway though !

I think it’s because they’re still embargoed one certain things.

Really? I thought the whole point of being able to review was that there was no longer embargoes (from Sony, obviously there are from third party publishers for some of the games)

I just remember on one of the reviews they said they weren't allowed to talk about a couple of games, unless I misheard (probably did).

Like?

Demon’s Souls has not been sent out to reviewers yet.

Yes, I think I heard it on GiantBomb's review. But they also mentioned there was nothing much to talk about in the embargoed (till official release) section.

Yeah that'll be the case. Like Ubisoft will have an embargo on Assassin's Creed for example. And they may have not had Watch Dogs next gen patch in time.

So all the reviewers can talk about hardware, UI, controller, backwards pat, SSD, astro and Spiderman. So naturally there'll be a lot of the same.

They're all hugely positive which is the main thing

Anyone used GameCollection to order games from?

Thinking about ordering Demon's Souls now Cyberpunk is delayed, Amazon don't have any stock and cheapest I've found is it from GameCollection but never heard of them.

I've used them. They're pretty great. Consistently £5-£10 cheaper than RRP and they more often than not come through on time.

I use them for basically everything unless there is a great deal elsewhere, they are all good plus the reward points add up to decent little savings over time.

I've not played Destiny/Destiny 2 for years but just know that my time will be verging on 1000 hours

One of my characters on WoW has 450+ days of play time :(

I think a fraction of that is actual play time and not just left online in the background though to be fair

Cheers.

Still on the fence about it atm.

I think I'll likely get through Spiderman on release weekend so need something else to play after that.

If I have a game on PS5, can I play online with someone who has the PS4 version. Fifa for example?
