Lightbar on the console is interesting. Starts of pulsating blue during boot and then goes to a solid white. As for the noise, it's not making a sound, at all!

Hahaha what a set of cnuts changing the script. Just seen this on their website. I ordered on October 8th: "NOTE: Pre-orders on PS4 placed after 1st September 2013 are not guaranteed for Launch Day. Any preorders up until 1st November are guaranteed before Christmas. After this you will be placed in a queue system."
Out of the box to use the web browser you have to be signed in to PSN, however, you can't sign into PSN without the update! Ha ha!
Good luck to anyone going to midnight launches without preordering. Went to three in my local area and the first one had signs on the entrance/exit saying "PS4s unavailable" (guess they had been asked about it a few times) and the other two were meant to have 100 in stock but they were all reserved for the pre-orders in the end.
Looking at the various pics on neogaf and here, surely this launch is going to be breaking records. Just wish I had pre-ordered back in August or earlier when I was contemplating it - if I changed my mind I could have just cancelled the order after all. Won't be making the same mistake with the PS5.

Funny little things you notice that nobody ever seemed to mention (at least not what I have seen), such as the PS logo, it's reflective. I've not put the box where it is going to go yet, just chucked it in front of the TV during setup, and it's glowing blue. Well it's not, it's reflecting the blue of the PS4 user interface, just looks like it's glowing blue. I'm going to waggle my willy in front of it and see how good of a mirror it is.
My Internet is going really slow at the minute for some reason, not just on the PS4 but on this computer as well.
Everything is so poorly planned, literally every shop you go to says 'we can't provide you with a delivery estimate' since they haven't heard anything form Sony about future stock inlet. Sony doesn't seem to have a clue about what rate they're manufacturing consoles at. I rather hear 'sometime in the first half of 2014' than 'we don't know'.
Yep, for the first time in many a product launch the company genuinely seems to not have a clue at how fast they can churn these things out. Its leading to a lot of confusion.

No problem with availability here in Poland, everyone who have placed pre-order will have their console at launch and there will be at least 30-40 per store in big chains (Saturn, Media Markt) in big cities available for people who haven't got a pre-order.

I pre-ordered on Amazon.co.uk on 31st of October on merit of their 'before Christmas' promise. feck knows why I waited so long when it is free to pre-order. I'm based in Sweden though so I don't have sufficient knowledge on UK suppliers, Swedish ones are sold out.

Ha ha! Pressing the PS button when playing goes back to the system UI but doesn't seem to pause the game (at least not in demo mode of the game), when you press PS again you go back and it has moved on.

I've had it since it came out here in North America, two weeks now and haven't used the share button once, apart from accidently clicking it forgetting it wasn't select to switch songs on fifa. Feel like its a bit unnecessary to have an entire button dedicated to sharing, although I can see some people using it for obvious reasons. I just think the majority of gamers don't really pause and share videos from games.
