Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

It's a God of War game, it should absolutely be for me. But it's not because it looks fecking awful.

I'm getting too old, bring back Tetris
From God of War to Tennis. Yes you are getting old/senile....

Fwiw, I think this will be very similar gameplay to the older GOWs (which is what's important), but witha little more meat on the bones. More of an emotional story, improved combat, and cinematic presentation, you may even like it.

Edit: VR Tennis, make it happen Sony...

Horizon Zero dawn DLC out tommorow, watched ACG's review(He's usually spot on) I was sold before but now I'm certainly sold.
Been a good few months for gaming.

Heh, not only did I forget about it until earlier today. I now went to buy it and realized I’d already pre ordered any paid for it too

There's a Skyrim PSVR bundle coming out (includes everything you need apart from PS4). Still on the fence? Climb on down and get one....

I'm gonna get skyrim no doubt, but I really hope they don't screw the movement up.

Oh and btw I don't have a psn account yet, it's my missus' pro and doesn't really play it online. I'll probably get one soon, so I'll add you when I do ;)

nah

VR not for me
Ok, everyone else then.

Fair enough mate, I did wonder. There's a nice little online community as well. A lot of people seem to be our age, grew up wanting VR due to Lawnmower Man, Johnny Mnemonic, etc... and just happy to have access to good VR, warts and all.

Ahaha,
I'm loving it so far, very good dlc & I don't think I'm that far into it.

Watching a 28min playthrough of it, I never thought I'd actually be eager to go back to Skyrim! To be able to shoot magic in any direction is going to be worth it alone.
Link?
I just wish I could do it with all my PC mods :(

I've just been thinking, having bought the PS4 at launch, when it was absolutely starving of games, what a beast of a console it is now. Sony have done it again, really. If I was buying a PS4 now, I wouldn't know where to start.

I'm hoping to pick up a ps4 slim bundle in one of the upcoming Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Xmas sales, having stuck (very happily) with the Xbox for the whole of this generation. But the list of ps4 exclusives is crazy now. Last Of Us, Uncharted Collection + 4, Bloodbourne, Horizon Zero Dawn are the ones I'm most excited for.

It shits all over the PS3 too. I've already bought way more PS4 games than PS3 games. The exclusives have been stunning.

Once you start, you won't stop. Every single one of them are an absolute treasure.

Playing through the first one on crushing. Started this afternoon upto Chapter 11. For the most part not too bad but a couple of absolute pain in the ass sections when the difficulty is so high.

Great fun though.

Bloodborne is incredible. I really need to go back and play the DLC.

Yeah I'm hoping for a Pro in the BF sale and hopefully it gets another 2 years use until they start looking at PS5.

Been mulling getting a PS4, shall I do it?
Sounds like there are tons of different versions of the console nowadays?! Where do I start?

I would not go for the slim, since it's just a smaller version of the original one but more costly. Depends on how much you are about graphics really

On another not, anyone played Shadow of War yet? (Sequel to Shadow of War) I downloaded it from PSN last week and have been having an absolute blast with it. The nemesis system is just fantastic as it creates all these little stories outside the main one and it gives all these randomly generated orcs some real personality.

If you have a 4K TV, go for the PS4 pro. Otherwise go for the original or the slim. If you think you’ll end up picking up a 4K TV in the near future though, well then by all means go with the pro as it’s the most powerful version.

Slim seemed to be the most obvious choice.

Is it not awesome on a 4K tv (is it worth it yet?) am in the market for a new tv soon, or shall I wait till more games, technology advancements etc.

I’m a casual gamer, fifa, nba, COD etc

The PS4 is in or around it’s peak. It’s easily the best console on the market and there’s no better time to invest in one. If you’re a casual gamer, well then just go for the regular version. The pro version is only a must have if you own a 4K TV, and even at that it’s not light years better, just a slightly better resolution and slightly faster loading times.

Got it, makes sense thanks!
Will check price differences here in Canada!

What's Persona 5 like? and would you guys recommend buying Kingdom hearts 1.5 and 2.5? I only play half the first one but I loved it, graphics don't hold up from ps2 days so I was wondering if the HD version was worth getting.

Amazing, up there with the best JPRG's ever (although I think P4 Golden is still slightly better), just be prepared to lose 100+ hours of your life to it.
