Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

Ahh thats disappointing, I'll look at some reviews first then.
Reviews are actually decent. I might try it once it gets to a very low price point, plenty of different games to play before I get down to it though. I need to finally sit down and finish Dying Light! I think I'll complete FarCry 4 or The Order next. Perhaps The Order.

I played Pes at a mates the other night. It's good but I feel I've been ruined by Fifa over the years. I also hate how to tackle on PES. I'm still tempted by it because it'll let me trade fifa in while it still has some value.

I wouldn't mind Fifa on PS4 but I already have it on Xbox and it's too expensive to have twice. Would be nice to get some people to play PES against on PS4.

I play PES on PS4, though I've played Become a Legend almost exclusivley since getting it so I'll probably be shit at playing with a full team of players :D

Ground Zeroes for £5.79 is worth grabbing if you never played it, fill the gap to MGS5. That's about the price it should have been at launch.

It should have been free as a demo.

So far the Ps4 for me has been a £300 NBA 2k15 machine. Should have just purchased a new graphics card in hindsight.

Anyone rate The Evil Within? , liked the look of it when it came out and just kinda forgot about it and it's around £20-25 now, worth it?

No, not even for a tenner.

It's basically a mish-mash of all the ideas cut from the development versions of Resident Evil 4, and as such it's just a very poorly executed replica without the slightest hint of anything new and fresh And by also managing to not even come close to even playing as well as RE4. The guy in charge is a notorious plank.

Plus it runs like shit despite not being particularly good looking (I believe they've fecked the lighting and shadowing badly, code-wise).

Ask @Redlambs.

He has glowing review of it.

;)

It had a decent promotional budget, which included tv adverts.

Make of that what you will with regards to trustworthy reviews.

But the console gaming forum I am on is also full of people praising it. There are negative opinions, granted, but most people seem to enjoy it.

Try it by all means. But nothing I've said is untrue, it plays exactly as it was made. A bunch of parts from failed versions of RE4, right down to the opening scene.

At first you want to like it, by the time you get to the village you convince yourself it isn't all that bad, then before you know it you'll realise I was right and shouldn't have bothered...trust me on this

I will try when it reaches £8 price point or when it's in IGC/GwG. I have way too many games right now.

What are your thoughts about Bloodborne? I am very much on the fence regarding this, want to get it but am afraid I won't cope.

Certainly try it. But just don't go in so hoping to love it like RE4, it'll only break your heart :(

I seriously don't have the time for it right now, I have too big a backlog. I haven't even got round to DS2 yet!

I'm annoyed with Sony, though I've got myself to blame somewhat.

A few weeks ago I was asking in here how to deactivate a device without it to hand. I logged into my step-dads PS4 ages ago, probably around launch and apparently set it as the primary PS4 for the account. I couldn't deactivate through the console once I got my own PS4, as Sony had issued him a new one when his broke so it was no longer the same console. So instead I had to use a 'deactivate all devices' option on the website.

Last week my brother-in-law sold his 360 and got a PS3 to play the exclusives he missed before going to next-gen. I let him sign in with my PSN so he could download the PS+ games I've accumulated over the last few years. Turned out his PS3 had a faulty drive though so he sent it back to the ebay store for a new one, and in a rush (he was away over the weekend, and got back Monday morning to package it up and leave it for DHL before heading to work) he forgot to wipe the console and deactivate my account. Now he's got a new one, which he's been able to sign in with and getting all the pros from, but I'm concerned that there's a PS3 out there at some random ebay store that has my account on it. I tried to deactivate all on the site but it says it can only be used once every 6 months (I assume to stop people swapping constantly to get PS+ on multiple devices). I emailed them explaining the situation but they're refusing to deactivate for me, unless I can prove that the PS3 was re-issued from one of their own service centres (and not from ebay).

Bummer.... stay on them. What did you write to them? Sometimes it's the way you communicate that makes all the difference. I had trouble with Steam (notoriously bad customer service) back in the day and got no joy from them. A guy on a forum told me what to say and after I sent another email in repeating what he said verbatim they changed their tune. Can't remember what I said unfortunately...

I just explained the situation and said I was concerned about my account being potentially available to others, and their response was that there was nothing they could do except in the situation that a console is re-issued by their own service centres, and that it was my own fault for not making steps to protect the account as in the t&cs. I'll be honest, whilst it's true (I mean, it was bro-in-law though I was the one who trusted him) you'd have thought they'd care more about the security of an account than anything else.

In the reply I just mentioned that I couldn't possibly provide proof of the Sony thing as that wasn't the case in my situation, and if there was no way they could help me then I'd have to un-subscribe from PS+ and remove all my details/payment methods etc. in a bid for security. Waiting on one back. Had to deal with customer service a shed load and been on a course or two myself so generally manage to say the right things to get out of these situations, though the first response was far more closed-book off-script than I expected considering the issue.

Just wait six months, worse case some lucky sod gets a few free games assuming he doesn't sign you out or the hard drive wasn't wiped at the store. Alternatively just change your passwords as a stop gap.

He could buy stuff using it though right? With it being an ebay shop I'm not too convinced about them wiping it free. Would the password help if it's already logged in? I doubt he set it up to require a password, or does it automatically when you change it? Cheers in advance.

If he hasn't already, get him to change up his password. If they can't sign in then you should be fine.

If you've left the account to auto sign in, as soon as you change your password that should stop.

I've no idea if he did or not unfortunately. Ah wicked, that's a good safeguard if so. Cheers, will do that.
