Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

guaranteed to get myself one, infact i want one now, fancy waiting for the Christmas bundle deals.

Nah, I just browse on there just to see if any game deals on.
Well it's appreciated all the same, as I took you up on your find and went for the gamestop bundle. A few fraud calls and texts from Barclays got me a little worried, but according to the comments section on hotukdeals quite a few other people seem to have had the same issue. Hopefully we haven't all been defrauded, but if we have you'll be hearing from me ;)

If I haven't then thanks for saving me about £30!

Started playing Black Flag last night. Not really impressed, graphically or game wise. Not really an improvement on the PS3 versions.

I get sucked into the AC hype every year. I fall for it thinking the game will be different and they quite boring games to play. Kind of like Watchdogs and other Ubisoft games. They just lack something.

Hoping The Division doesn't follow the same path.

I felt it picked up considerably once you become captain of the Jackdaw as from then on you have freedom - up until that point you have to follow the story and are having your hand held.

The last Ubisoft game I enjoyed and felt compelled to complete was Far Cry 3. Everything else was rehashed, reptitive garbage. And their PC Uplay service...oh jesus god why, it makes Origin look like Steam.

Shit publisher. Will not buy again (except Far Cry 4 and possibly The Division).

So I have a PS3 and want to get a PS4. Is it best to trade in the PS3 while buying the PS4 or just retain it to use as a blu-ray player or multi-media device? The local game stop offered me $70 for the PS3 and quoted me $390 for the PS4.

I would keep the ps3 for the ps plus games.

I'd keep it for the plus games, media playback for another room perhaps and because $70 is feck all really.

@Leg-End @Woodzy ps plus has been a bit of mixed bag on PS4. Some really good games and then some poor games. My favourite games have been Resogun, Outlast, Fez and Velocity.

I guess people were expecting full retail games rather than indie titles like the PS3. I don't expect them to do that for a while. Obviously with Drive Club coming and maybe before Xmas they might just give Knack or Killzone away.

Resogun is amazing to be fair. It just kinda felt right with the launch of the console. Never played Outlast but I did grab it when it was available, so just a case of getting round to it. I tend to get put off indie games easily though so don't even give them a chance half the time.

Yeah but he's talking about PS3, that consistently still gets excellent offerings on plus therefore makes it worth keeping.

Where is the best place to trade in games in England ? Thinking of trading in Black Flag, Second Son and Watch Dogs.

The bundles here right now are $450 for The Last of Us bundle and $470 for the Destiny white bundle. I know nothing about either game so which deal is better? I don't know how much I'd play of either those games so leaning towards The Last of Us bundle right now.

Also you need PS+ to play online right? Do you need it for each account or do you just need one PS+ for the whole console? If all my brothers need to get individual PS+ memberships it is going to be a real pain in the ass.

Game will price beat CEX on either store credit or cash when trading in.

I traded in fifa 14 the other day and Game offered me £14 store credit. I showed them the CeX website where they were offering a store credit trade of £23. They then matched it and then beat this by offering me £24.

Ten quid difference when CEX got mentioned the cheeky feckers!

They only seem to produce by-the-numbers games anymore. Open world, viewpoint synchronisation, collectibles, all of it has become so extremely formulaic in their games. I bought a PS4 last weekend and got a used copy of Watch Dogs along with it. It's decent so far but come on, even that game has viewpoint synchronisation. They don't even bother trying to disguise that it's exactly the same as in AC or Far Cry 3. Every game they produce seems to be an alternatively themed Assassin's Creed. I wonder how far they're going to take that.

Far cry 3 was fantastic. Liked Blackflag, but agree that it's just repeated. If it didn't have the Jackdaw (upgrade/battles) then it would of been shite.
UbiSoft are playing catch up in mu opinion

Do Apple EarPods work on the PS4 controller anyone? Mic included?

Edit: Yes they do, left earphone only though..

A friend of mine just had his delivered. He forgot that he and his GF were both at work so he was panicking but luckily his neighbour took delivery

Have you tried Child of Light? I thought it was a really good game.

Thats their Indie RPG title released this year right? No haven't really got round to giving it a bash. Worth a buy then?

Edit: Obviously not Indie, but it certainly looks and has the feel of an Indie title.

Yeh I actually thought it was Indie before the installer came up! Yep pretty similar RPG game with a really good story.
