Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

Ffs  this just reached the most childish level possible.

"I bet you can't rub your stomach while patting your head. I can. I know what I'm talking about. "
The childish part was the comment I replied to and then the laughing at the said comment.

Get it straight!

"But sir! He started it!"

TrollLambs is on a rampage, I'll come back when he settles down. Look mate, it's not our problem that you didn't get a blowjob this week.

It's also not my problem that you and Alock don't have a full command of the English language.

Well, Wipeout was a ripoff of F-Zero.

And Uncharted was intended to be a fun colourful game with fantasy but Sony wanted a gritty realistic dark shooter - wanting their own Gears of War.

But you know, Sony give freedom, Sony studios make games that they want to make and all that jazz.

You bring up some very good points, all of which are completely accurate. Hopefully it'll spark a nice, calm discussion in which everybody's opinions are taken into account.

So... back to the PS4

Made it to Year 10 on Road Not Taken. 115/200 secrets found. Well thought out game by the developers. Won't be a lot of people's cup of tea, but the more I play it, the more I get into it. The stage I'm at is frustrating, but with the levels being procedurally generated and only need to recover half of the kids to progress to the next year, it isn't so bad.

Did you download it free on ps plus? I picked up fez on that last night.

I've known about it for ages as it was in that indie games documentary. The developer was a bit of a trendy egotistical asshole.

So far is really well designed and pretty simple to play.

Have you tried it?

Tempted to get Tomb Raider too even though I have it on PS3 from PS+. It's apparently much much better?

Never had it on ps3 or xbox 360, but a mate was round earlier who had played it on the 360 and he said it looks way better on the ps4. I checked some online comparisons and it does look much better according to those. Loving it so far, apart from I can't melee attack? :/ Easily worth the £25 to me.

40% through tomb raider now. Really enjoying it but always comparing it to uncharted which it doesn't come close to because of the poor voice acting and lack of engaging story.

It is highly entertaining and looks wonderful on my TV.

It's on sale now so definitely worth the cash.

I prefer some aspects of it over uncharted. The more serious tone is much better, the voice acting isn't bad either IMO. Think I preferred uncharteds combat system, well parts of it anyway. Been that long since I played uncharted though.

Oh what difficulty is everyone playing it on? I am playing through on hard.

I thought Tomb Raider was comfortably better than Uncharted 3. The set-pieces weren't as good, nor the multiplayer.. Otherwise they both had average stories, but Tomb Raider had tighter controls, better platforming and was more open. The level design was superior in Tomb Raider, though the tombs were poor in comparison to the original games.

It's not as good as Uncharted 2, though it's still superior in the areas I mentioned above Uncharted 2 was something else when it came to story telling, set pieces and cinematics.

That's it. Uncharted 2 is what I'm referring to for the reasons mentioned above.

Uncharted 3 was OK but 2 was the one that made me sit up and take notice.

Hotline Miami coming to PS4 on the 20th, if you have PS+ and redeemed it for the PS3 when it was available then you get it for free.

Play this game.

Be nice to see something new that interests me, not betting on it though.

About time we got some software features though.

Anybody seen any good deals around? Planning on finally picked one up next month but I'm quite tight on cash right now. 350 seems to still be the absolute minimum for the console alone and I think the cheapest I've found with a game is about 368? Anybody recommend any places online to possibly consider? Expect most are the same but thought I'd ask (already had a look at most of the obvious places such as Game etc) even if it's a matter of saving a few pennies

I got one from Shopto's ebay shop for £299.99 a few weeks back. My advice would be to check HotUkDeals regularly.

I've seen deals at £350 with a game but you gotta be quick, latest one was PS4 with Watchdogs for £350 at Argos but I don't think thats on now. Think there was also a Last of Us bundle for £340 at some point.

Keep an eye on online places like Tesco, Asda, Gamestop UK etc. Hotukdeals usually have them up pretty quick and its the best place to find the deals all in one place, if you are willing to wait for the right deal I'm sure you will find one at some point in the next month.

Cheers guys. Wont have the money until the middle of next month anyway so no rush, I'll keep an eye out on Hotukdeals.

Managed to pick up a Last of Us PS4 bundle for £340 at my local Asda. Planning on waiting till October but I couldn't turn down The Last of Us day 1 edition bundle for that price.

More interested in HM2 at this point, when is that coming?

Good chance we'll hear about it today.

Looking forward to seeing Bloodbourne and The Order. Hope they pick a good bit to show The Order off (like the Werewolf) - ie. not generic shooting in a corridor/alleyway.
