Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

I think the delay, as a marketing tool, has done wonders for DriveClub. Even if the game was in it's current (great looking) state back in November, i don't think it would of sold as well.

With the delay, they have managed to show off more stuff, and it's got pretty hyped.

Lets see I will definitely get all of these later:

TLOU
GTA V
FIFA 15
NBA 2k15
Assassin Creed Unity
Far Cry 4
The Evil Within or Destiny
The Division (next year)
Uncharted 4 (next year)

Can't complain really, should average life span of each of those have 2 months, I would be fully occupied until end of next year.

Well what else do you want to know? The initial release was dreadful, but they've been patching it and it's apparently not too bad now. I enjoyed the demo, it's arcade hack n slash at its finest but it's not exactly a classic. If you haven't played a Diablo game before then it's worth getting.

I'm not so sure, it would have been a fantastic launch title but it wasn't ready, judging my friend who works there and now the Game Director. I think the biggest reason will be the fact that October is such a busy month so people will be prioritising games to get. Then you've got the PS+ edition, which might well suffice for a lot of people. One thing to say is, the delay has helped tremendously in making a much better game judging by what I've seen at E3.

I still think it'll sell well, but I think it might have done better at launch. Although I guess its hard to say either way really.

Day 1 for me!

Again, does anyone know if there are any PS4-games that support 4 player split screen besides FIFA? Any idea i.e if the new CoD supports 4 player split screen?

What I mean is, when it comes to downloading content, games etc how many weeks is it going to take to get something downloaded?

Normal speed, it also downloads when in standby mode so you can download stuff while at work I think. Also play other games while it downloads in the background

The current CoD does. All the Lego games have spilt screen. You can play split screen on Knack too, but it isn't great.

No, Uncharted 4 looks like like the tits, puts everything else to shame graphically. The game will not run at 60fps, if it does I'll suck the cock of the first bidder.
The game wouldn't feel right at 60 fps. It would take that cinematic feel away from the game.

I'm not believing the uncharted 4 hype unless I see a gameplay footage. Even if it looks as good as uncharted 3's cut scenes I'll be happy.

I agree Witcher looks incredible Toobias. It's gorgeous and considering that it's an open world with so much to do/see then it's very impressive.

Ignore Weaste trying to turn every conversation into some wankfest of his choice.

What does open world have to do with it when each of these consoles have a minimum of 5GB of RAM available to the game developer?

I'd love to know why you think it's more difficult for an open world title than a linear one, other than set pieces.

The thing is, why is it possible for Uncharted 4 to look like that and not Watchdogs? Because Watchdogs is "open world"?

Well Watchdogs is on what, 5 platforms? Naughty Dog throughout the PS3 era (possibly before, PS3 was my first Sony console) focused their efforts on one platform and reaped the benefits of that focus. Watchdogs has spread itself over 5 platforms, including two generations and PC - which is like a million different platforms in one. Open world may certainly play a role, but its worth remembering that inFamous is also open world and that looked spectacular.

I can't think of a single cross gen game that's set a new standard in graphics. You can't usher in the future when half the focus is dedicated to the past.

Well you've hit the nail right on the head. Yes, it's using a single closed platform at a low level that allows for it - open world or not.

Yeah the cross gen games have been graphically overwhelming but it's not surprising. It was the same last gen too aside from a few exceptions. Gears Of War, The Last Of Us, Mass Effect and Uncharted are/were all exclusive examples of games that took advantage of the old hardware.

For one, in a linear game the level designers can and do obviously set the world up for maximum efficiency. They have plenty of onscreen data to show them that by moving a background building across a few pixels it's gives best performance, for example.

But yes, cross-gen is of course the biggest factor. Then comes quality of the teams, then comes the fact these consoles aren't really a massive leap, more a moderate one.

Does it support 4-player though?

No, none of those games support 4-player spilt screen. In fact, I don't think any games on PS4 have 4-player spilt screen, it uses up too much resources.

How long is soon? I would really like media support on my PS4, it's annoying that they're taking this long. It's insane that they left it out in the first place.

Just bought one today; wanted to use my old PS3 PSN ID but I'd forgotten the password, went through all the process but it won't let me reset the pass

Try doing it through the mobile site, do you remember the email ID password you used for PSN?

Verification code must be sent to that ID.

I do, it's my primary email address. That part went smoothly, though: got a link in my email, verified the email ID, it's this DoB step that I can't get through.
