With this team I'm managing to actually hit the ball a good few times per game. Currently on 3-1, last game I beat Dodgers 3-2. I am thinking about swapping Kemp with McCutchen because basically all teams in the league have an outfield player on more than 90 and McCutchen's stats are extra-ordinary.

I know it's not really fair to play with Forced Trades on, it's basically cheating but White Sox initial team is absolutely dogshit compared to sides like Orioles, Yankees, Dodgers etc. It's actually one of the worst in the league and I wanted to play with them so I had to make a few tweaks. Even with new players it's still far from the best but it's good enough to at least put up a proper fight, it's not like I have packed it with the best players in each position.
 
Seems to be a glitch where some people can get Killzone for free on PS4.

Some doing it through the web app others through mobile apparently you click 'choose version' and there will hopefully be a free option.

I think its UK only.

Thinking about picking up a couple of games this evening. The games I currently own are AC: Black flag, bound by flame and child of light, as well as a couple of others from the monthly free ps+ games. One of which will probably be killzone as I can get if for around £20. Any recommendations as to what the other one should be?

Tomb Raider, Don't Starve, Outlast, Battlefield and Rayman would all be some of my main recommendations.
 
Solid recommendations above, definitely get bf4 if you play those kinds of games...

It's probably some stupid shite about driveclub having variably inflated tyre graphics now, or something no one gives a feck about but him and Alock will argue for months over it because Forza doesn't have it.

Wow the jaggies are really noticeable, the back end of the cars look a right mess. There's no AA what so ever looking at those videos. I'll try the PS+ version, doubt I'll buy the full game.

He got back to me on this.

He reckons with some degree of certainty that there will be an E3, PS4 price drop. I'm sure he will be back at the weekend to let you all know more about it.
 
They definitely don't need to but I guess if they want to try and ensure domination then why not. I think all their previous consoles had price drops after about 6 months so it wouldn't be that out of line. Wonder how much it'll be, £300? I'd go for £320 I think.

I could have got one for about £300 new with Infamous from Tesco in the last few days but it's behind the 3DS in my want list.

Considering Xbox one costs the same price. If Xbox one was to drop like to £300 then yeah they'd need to consider. But I rather their big announcements be about games rather than price drops.
 
After using my PS4 a lot over the last few weeks I had a longer go with a few PS3 games yesterday (other than South Park that I've been playing for the past month which is not a good comparison measure really due to the style of visuals) and the disparity in graphics is bigger than I thought.

Not going to give up on a PS3 because of that as I still have dozens of games to complete and it's a cracking piece of hardware with its gaming library but after initially thinking the distance between the games graphics wise would be slight and far shorter than between a 2 and a 3 I guess I must admit being wrong.

Games like TLoU, GT and Uncharted still look great though... I think in terms of playtime my PS3 edges out my Vita (just) and my PS4...

PS4 is still a better system and I love it and yes, you're right - GTA5 for example doesn't look bad comapred to current PS4 line-up, it's games pre-2011 that look somewhat poor. I'm still going to play the shit out of my PS3.
 
The games that so far set the PS4 apart from the PS3 graphically are still quite low. Tomb Raider would be one, Battlefield another, Killzone despite being a bit shit looks the part.

The leap is bigger than some people seem to think though. This is only the beginning too.
 
I play my PS3 a lot more than my PS4. I still buy PS3 games on a weekly basis.

I got nothing left to buy to be fair, have 49 games on my HDD thanks to PS Store sales and PlayStation Plus, have some of the best games in boxes as well and I have some bought but not downloaded as well. I reckon I have about 80-85 PS3 games right now and I have completed about 30 of them. I reckon I have about 25 that I have not even played yet.
 
Having issues with my PS4 already.

Bought it a while back and played it every now and then for the first few weeks. Then didn't play it at all for the last month or two.

Last night I switch it on and do the updates. Start playing fifa and after 20 mins it switches off by itself, making the beep noise. Couldn't be bothered starting again so left it. Today I start again and after twenty minutes it beeps and off it goes. But then beeps on and off a few times before stopping.

This happened to anyone else? Should I return it to the shop?

Yes they do. Sony isn't a game company any more than Microsoft is, and they certainly don't have a monopoly in something as a crutch either. Playstation is the crutch for a massively failing electronics business. Nintendo don't sell TVs and A/V receivers. The brand as a whole needs to gain mindshare again, and here you have a vessel to carry that. SCE don't need this but Sony as a whole do. PS3 will probably do PS1 numbers when the fat lady sings, but over a far longer time-frame. They need PS2 numbers with this and to do that the Xbox brand needs to be burried as soon as possible, which they are going to attempt to do for a short term loss. They are in a very unique situation ATM with the PS4. They have the more powerful machine, they have the mindshare of the consumer, Microsoft is flip-flapping about with no direction, they have exclusive marketing deals for games such as Destiny and Watch Dogs, and they have their 1st party big guns yet to show up; so now is the time for the fatal blow. They did this with the PS2 (not so soon after release, but it had a $100 cut not long after its release).

There is a new model of PS3 as well, and it's getting a drastic price cut too. A PS4 + VITA bundle is aimed at "close to" PS4 launch price.
 
I can't be certain on the price, it might be $329 or $299 as I told Leg-End. I think it will be $299 so 279 in quids. You shouldn't feel cheated by that.

Software is another thing entirely. You are all in for some right old treats ;)

That list posted was fake, don't pay any attention to it. I've already told Alock in one of these threads, expect a full blown Ratchet & Clank for starters. Yep, the main team at Insomniac are not on Sunset Overdirve. There is a R&C movie due for release next year and there is a game to go with it. E3 finally shows the Sony big guns. Don't expect GT7, there is a VITA title first, ok, you'll all get a taster in December. GT7 is 2016. I'll tell you one thing though, The Order is not Sony's main game for Christmas.
