Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

I guess Weaste doesn't remember ripping Forza a lot of times for not having features, specifically naming weather about 5 times.

But yeah, it looks very good, lets hope it handles well. It's 30fps right? But a sim racer? Or is it between arcade and sim, kind of like Grid 2? I'm a bit confused about what it's meant to be.

It's some weird social racer where instead of a career your earning a rank for your social club? And then you can challenge other clubs in a race, like 3v3 and stuff?

Online only?

Having the cock-pit view is one of the most important features in a racing game for me. Thoroughly enjoyed Colin Mcrae Dirt 1 & 2, WRC3 & to a degree some of GT5 for that reason.

It's the only view I accept these days, especially when I'm using a wheel. Using a wheel on anything other than a cockpit view is ridiculous.

Third person for me. I need to see what I'm hitting with the back end.

Cockpit view, big screen, racing chair, steering wheel = bliss... will look at the vid later.

I always feel like 3rd person driving games makes the car look and feel really unnatural in it's movement and it's like you're just controlling the game physics rather than driving a car, like it feels to me with a cockpit view. Not always though some games aren't so bad. Cockpit just offers so much, seems more realistic in a good way, feels faster at low speed & is rewarding when you master it.

About when I expected it when I heard the stories the other day about them giving a release date. Expect them to keep this one too.

Coming out just before project CARS which is the one I am looking more closely at these days. Hopefully ps still give us the free watered down version of driveclub. Isn't there some other car game coming around that time too? Where you're in a team doing missions? (Arcade, not sim). Just checked and yeah, the crew. Good time for car games. Hope atleast one of them is decent

Interesting that they are revealing (well, re-revealing) this now, thought they would hold it back for E3. They must have a packed reveal for E3, hype.

Anyone know about steering wheels for the ps4 yet? Don't think I've seen or heard of one.

Would like one with a clutch too.

The Crew, it is. Should be good.

Has anyone seen a current and last gen wheel yet? even a XB1/PS4 wheel would do me.... really want one that does XB360/PS3 too though. Did most of my driving on XB360 but I have GT6 now (which I'm loving) and would like to pick up a few next gen racers when they start dropping... @Redlambs?

Sony Computer Entertainment America have filed a trademark for something called “Bloodborne”. At present, no further details as to just what Bloodborne is are available, but perhaps we’ll hear about the game at E3 this year?

Sounds like some vampire game.

What's that vampire game based off novels or comics, I remember reading about it before and it looked nice. Might have been PC only though.

Read that as bloodrayne at first... liked the first one, would be nice to get a follow up.

Don't post 144p video, it's not good, maybe on your phone.

It looks great until Polyphony show up. Evolution though make great non-sim racers, they make fun racers.
Is it evolution behind driveclub?

Any news on polyphony, heard gt7 had already been started before gt6 release (their usual though isn't it) but haven't really heard anything else.

Yes, Evolution Studios that made the Motorstorm games on the PS3. They are also well know for their PS2 games.

With GT7 you should expect an announcement of a Prologue at E3. Vita GT will be released this year.

I criticised Forza 5 because of a lack of dynamic lighting and change of day, something GT5 had. Weather is another matter.

You said weather too, feel free to go and check. I really don't care though, I just thought it was funny.

So, I still wanna know where this game fits? Is it between sim and arcade? Social clubs instead of career? Online only? Graphics are great for sure.

Xbox One dropped support of all their last gen wheels so if you buy one of the 360 compatible ones it won't work with the XB1 so I'd scratch that idea for the long term view. PS4 I think has atleast one wheel available, T80 but I wouldn't hold my breath on the quality of it, its PS3/4 compatible though.

I'd wait on it personally, if you have the cash then a Logitech G27 is your best bet but only after they actually confirm they will release PS4 drivers for it (they most likely will, right now whats the rush given there are no racing games out but the PS4 absolutely will support it if Logitech sort it). I'm still rocking my old G25 and I can confirm GT6 feels great with it.

Microsoft love to close off support of third party wheels for whatever reason, even on the 360 if you wanted to use say a G27 you needed a convertor. Why they dropped support of official 360 wheels on the XB1 I will never know.......well I do, they want to release another official wheel and grab that money.

Well, if you can't change the lighting you can't do weather. Unless it is fixed.

We know why Forza 5 doesn't do dynamic lighting, as it requires deferred rendering, and that's something that is not so easy to do on the Xbone due to the size of the eSRAM. The next one might have it, or maybe it won't.

Feck off you bastards! I asked about a steering wheel, then Afro does a few posts later and you quote him

Ah yes the g27! going to have to price it up!

It doesn't work on the PS4. Logitec stopped doing console wheels some time ago. The G25 and G27 would need drivers to work on the PS4. Maybe Sony might do it themselves, maybe not, they don't own that hardware.

I didn't see your post or I would have pointed you in the same direction.
