PS+ for May

Leaving PS Plus:

Entering PS Plus:

Pretty meh month for the PS4 but if you have a PS3 or Vita its an excellent one.

Nice - looking forward to Puppeteer and Payday - providing can get 4 players online together. I've tried playing it single player with computer and it is pretty much pointless trying to do so. But with 3 other human players think it will be excellent.

Apparently, heard good things about those games but wouldn't usually look at them, benefit of PS+ I suppose. I've played a few great games that I wouldn't have looked sideways at...

I'm game swoosh ;)

Is it just stick it to the man for ps4?

If so it's ridiculous, promised games like driveclub to start, and now were gettingthis type of stuff?

Everything is meh for you Lance, I don't know why you even play games.

Yeah, ONO you realise it was like a free to play version of DriveClub. Probably like 1 track and 2 cars or something (I think they did clarify somewhere).

It's year 1 of the console launch, they can't release what isn't even ready can they.

The fact we are getting anything is fine by me, its keeping my PS3 alive, its building up a backlog for when I finally get a Vita and I get to try some games I probably wouldn't ordinarily try.

Drive Club was never promised as a full game.

Yeah but it was a fully fledged game as opposed to an indie platformer... I get what he means. It has been a bit meh, but what did we expect?

Edit:

Really? I stand corrected then...

See Leg-end? It's not just me. This is an average month. Last month was considerably better.

I am thoroughly enjoying Titanfall and Forza 5, anyway, so I'm not overly bothered. Trials is the only thing keeping me on the PS4 at the minute.

Yes average for some gamers, great for others, probably shit for some too. Last month was outstanding for the PS3 but it ain't gonna happen every month. Puppeteer, Everybody's Golf and Muramasa Rebirth are all games I would potentially buy at some point and now I don't have to.

Yeah I understand that it was a small driveclub thing, but at least it's something next gen like. All these games they're doing ATM could have been done on the ps3. I mean ps3 gets 2 games, one of which is payday, ps4 gets 1 and it's nothing spectacular.

I'm honestly feeling like I am really starting to hate the way Sony work. Justifying their new ps sub price to play online with promises of things. Then to be honest, everything ps plus seems half arsed. The store is awful on ps4, the lack of demos is annoying, I mean, no themes? Can we even buy new avatars anymore?

I'm not expecting any super titles, outlast type games is probably alright. I do expect better titles in the future though, in 18+ months of it's life cycle. Even all te game delays got annoying. Basically "buy ps4 on release ad enjoy all these games within the launch window" ... "Jk we delayed everything, oh yeah killzone is pretty but gameplay is naff, bf4? Good luck with the bugs".

Tell me, what is Xbox Gold giving people?

I have a PS3 and Vita so I'm fine, but if I only had a PS4 and hadn't really been playing it online I'd feel a bit... what's the word? I don't know what SITTM is like but if it's anything like MK last month then that's underwhelming. On the flipside I played the shit out of Hotline Miami so who knows?

It's more than that I think. It's not THAT limited. It's supposed to be quite a decent size. There will obv be cars as tracks missing. But you get all features... Online, single player campaign, social features.

Don't start that nonsense. He hasn't even mentioned Gold. You can criticise one without comparing the other.

I don't believe Gold compares to PS Plus, for the record, but we have a thread for that.

Ok, I stand corrected again...

I looked at SITTM just now and it actually looks interesting, I'll have a go. I liked The Cave (played it with my kids) so I think this might be cool.

That's a ludicrous statement, the value of PS+ is actually mind boggling. The whole reason Sony wrapped online into PS+ is because people showed a willingness to pay Xbox Gold, now they do the same whilst also handing out GOTY, brand new titles and copious Vita games and suddenly PS+ is half arsed? Hate Sony for it?

The only thing you can directly compare PS+ to is Xbox Gold.

Solid point @Leg-End, considering the fact that people have happily paid for XBL for years it's a bit precious for us to start bitching.

Everything you said remains valid without mentioning Gold, though.

I just don't want another gay Sony vs Microsoft turd fest.

Sorry, ps plus is half arsed for next gen.

I'd prefer going back to the option of the free psn and psn plus. I probably wouldn't subscribe at the minute if I am honest.

Forcing me to pay to play against fecktards online on fifa is shocking.

You realise it was ONO who said about PS+ not me? And he doesn't have an Xbox One?

I'd get why you were saying it if it was me moaning, but it wasn't.. So why bring Gold into it?

Saying that, I am actually playing Deadlight right now on the 360 which is free with Xbox Live - still pretty shit. Hitman was good for the first half of the month. There's a big difference between the two though; firstly, on XBL you get to keep the games even if you stop subscribing. Of course, I'd rather lose that and get better games like PS+ mind.

Secondly, the XBL community is already massive compared to PS+ - I've always wondered if these game publishers would be willing to give games away if it was a much bigger audience.

Me neither believe me I'm not weaste.

PS+ on PS4 is hardly half arsed though, come on. Admittedly this month and next months PS4 offerings are kinda weak but its what, month 6 since launch?

It's the same every single console launch, people fly in to buy them, play the launch offerings then moan about the lack of games for the next year. The fact they hid online behind PS+ does stink for some gamers but just because you don't enjoy it doesn't automatically make the whole service "half arsed".

I bought Deadlight on Steam. Looks nice, but became very frustrating near the end.

I would never claim it to be half arsed, I think it's fantastic value, in the main.

Yeah, mine runs out at the end of June and I think I signed up too late as well. Missed out on some decent games.

I can understand someone being pissed off that say came from PS3, sold it to buy a PS4, and now have to pay to game online. If you have a PS3/PS4/PSV however the thing is nuts. I don't think that they should have locked online play behind it but a money making precedent was already set and Sony would have been nuts to leave that money on the table. When PS3 was released they were not in the same predicament they currently find themselves financially as a group; VIAO has gone, display panel manufacture has gone, numerous skyscrapers have gone, it is what it is. Many of the products they used to make money out of are now commodity products in that they are so cheap and easy to make and based on widespread old technology that it's difficult to differentiate them from say their Chinese counterparts.

Well I'm currently playing for XBLive and haven't used it since autumn, so I'm not gonna complain about PS+... fcuk, did I have to claim those free games from their PS+ service? have I missed them? Meh...
