PL Matchday 2 | 24/8/24 - 25/8/24

The amount of times players get straight red carded under the justification ‘you can’t raise your hand to someone’. And then Joelinton does a move out of WWF on the keeper and only gets a yellow! WTF?

Madueke must be feeling so good right now

On his Instagram "Wolverhampton - Everything about this place is shit".

He quickly deleted it. You'd imagine it was meant as a message to a group or something. That's why he was getting boos from the kick off.

To be fair to him, he's kinda right.

Never question a guy with a headband.

Thought Slot would mess about with the likes of Gakpo and Nunez but seems like he’s very quickly worked out what their best team is

Does Arne Slot also have a very punchable face or is it just me?

VAR is absolutely fine. It's the refs on it who are abysmal. I think it actually shows you how useless the refs are. There was always a reason that it was tough to see in real time and so mistakes are to be expected. Now you see them with time and replays and it's obvious

The disallowed goal was all on VAR not the referee. They just disallowed it and didn't even give him the opportunity to go to the monitor.

I thought VAR had been instructed not to award penalties for miniscule handballs. Guess that doesn't extend to disallowing goals. whoppers.

Why do sky always go quiet for this boring nonsense every Liverpool home game.

Glad I don’t pay these cnuts anymore.

This is so embarassing. Why have they played the whole shit song just cos a new manager narrative. Why does the media fawn over them so

Why do commentators fall silent for a song from a musical? Liverpool fans don’t respect the national anthem so why should everyone else respect their anthem?

is it from a musical? I thought it was just a pop song

Not seen the incident, but there's always been a double standard by design since the rules were reformed.

Even this early that was a poor result for Southampton. Forest at home is exactly the type of game you need to be winning to stay up and they were comfortably dominated today and never really looked like scoring. Also couldn't score despite playing 10 men for over 70 minutes last week.

Southampton are going to be exactly like Burnley aren't they?
Yes looking like a very difficult season ahead for Southampton.

Chelsea result the stand out one today, 6 goals from 8 shots on target is impressive, under the mighty Poch Chelsea lost to Wolves home and away last season.
