PL Matchday 2 | 24/8/24 - 25/8/24

92% pass completion for Liverpool today. Our highest since 03/04 apparently. Slot is a sl*t for possession.

They’ve played a promoted side and a team that finished 16th last season.

Good start but completely expected
Some of the posts on here would make you think they have beat Real Madrid and City!

In these parts, we expect new managers to sign almost a whole new team before comfortable wins against cannon fodder can be expected. Considering that, it's natural to be frustrated that a rival manager seems to be doing much better against these sort of teams without a new signing.

So not exactly loads of times in 50 years.
If you say it's 4 in a row without scoring it's hardly good as well is it? The players are well aware that they haven't scored at Anfield in their lifetime and they go into that match with low confidence. Manager probably exudes nervous energy as well.

Fully expect Liverpool to get slapped up next week, this Utd group are shameless gameraisers

Isn’t that the way the sport is though? I’d rather have united raise their game sooner rather than later against us and get on with the rest of the season. The mgr is under pressure, they’re at home desperate for a win so I can’t see any other outcome.

Brentford better replace Toney
The replacement (Igor Thiago, 30M) is out until Xmas. They need to get a physical striker on loan until then, even if he's limited. Wissa-Mbeumo is too small for a team that plays the way they do.

Your being a little pedantic there. You know what I mean. It was within each and a comfortable height. I didn't say it wasn't a good save or that it was easy. My comment was about what I felt was Neville's over reaction as he's always at this type of thing.

Would you class it as magical, personally, or are you arguing with me for no good reason?
I wasn't arguing. I said we'd agree to disagree.
