He has played 32 times and scored 10 this season
Alves next.
From the official website:
FC Barcelona has announced that they have reached an agreement with Pedro Rodríguez to renew his contract until 30 June 2019. The striker’s current contract was due to expire on 30 June 2016.
His buyout clause will remain at 150 million euros.
Surprising.
I don't think any other club will pay close to what Barca pay him in wages.I'd hazard a guess he didn't get any offers from top clubs and prefers the Barca bench over playing time for a midtable Serie A team. I think he was linked to Inter Milan the most.
This means deulofeu should be off right?
Should be a good signing for someone out there.I think he lost his chance ever since they loaned him again to Sevilla. Has a bad attitude and is a selfish little player.
I was really impressed with Deulofeu at Everton. Looks a really good player.

He was terrible at Sevilla.

Bojan looked terrible everywhere till he found solace at Stoke. Judging players on what is currently happening in their career isn't always the best idea, especially when talking about someone of Deulofeu's ability. He was terrible at Sevilla.

back to everton?

I don't know what he earns at Barca but it can't be too much. If I had to guess I'd say around 5 million Euros per year (sounds silly to label that "not too much" but you get what I mean ... for footballers at this level ...). After Messi, Suarez, Neymar, Xavi, Iniesta and Alves he's definitely on the lower end of the spectrum. Premier League clubs wouldn't have a problem to pay him. I'm actually surprised Liverpool didn't try for him. It's pretty much his level and with Sterling on his way out they could do with a pacey, hardworking, mobile wingforward who could bag in around 10 goals in the Premier League.
Nope, you can judge him on his ability. We all know what he can do, he's shown it before so what's stopping him from reaching great heights if he's in the right set up. This is where teams get it wrong imo, instead of signing someone that can give what your team needs, clubs focus on players in somewhat good situations. But this is the only way you can judge a player...no?I never said he was finished as a footballer, I was just giving an update on his recent misfortunes - he is obviously a very talented midfielder, you just have to be really special to make it as a midfielder in La Liga.
Why do you think so?Haven't read anything about him yet. I do think Everton, or the EPL in general, suits him much more than La Liga and will help him shine.

There are lots of mediocre midfielders all over the place, even in la liga so I disagree with that. Even in deulofeu's team there's Mbia doing god knows what there.
Anyways he isn't a midfielder, he's an attacker.
Where did you get that from? Barcelona has what, the biggest wage bill in football (maybe City is higher, can't remember). That's not counting this season where they've added Suarez. He was on 60k per week. A little over £3m(or ~€4.2m) a year. Not sure if the new contract is higher or lower, most likely the same or a little lower perhaps.

You sure it's not his wages after taxes? FM has him on over 90k which is about what I thought. 100k was my estimation. He's their most veteran player in attack that isn't a starter and attackers generally earn more than defenders.
