Pedro Neto

Chelsea remind me of myself when I was 18 using that football manager editor and giving myself a 1 billion budget to sign players. Difference is though, I actually won stuff

Excellent player. Dodgy injury record.

If he’s over his injury issues this could be a really good get, especially at the quoted prices.

Wonder how long will he last there before he goes to Saudi

You’re jealous of this absolute shitshow?
Yes, because they’re making signings. It’s not that I’m jealous of the actual players but I thought this new ownership would be far more aggressive in getting a stronger squad together. Chelsea have shown it can be done. Have they done it well? That’s a different question.

Do Chelsea fans even know who is in their squad these days.

Chelsea are actually sickening. The sheer volume of signings they make is utterly ludicrous. Just signing players to then replace them soon after.

No idea how they get away with it. Their transfer conduct/business is more deplorable than any other side in world football. Makes that club so detestable.

I am not an expert so I looked back through the thread. Just the first page has me excited. Everyone knows Redcafe posters know their stuff.

Far better forward than anyone we have in the team.

Been on his hype train for a few years.

He's brilliant. They're not the same player but he could be a Mane type signing. He's a full-back's nightmare. He's got some workrate too.

Going to suck watching him going to Arsenal or Liverpool. He’s the player we should replace Sancho with.

Great player, we should be all over this but he'll end up at Liverpool

Entirely different financial situation. Roman ran a very tight ship and Boehly purchased a well oiled machine. We’ve been a shitshow for over a decade. ineos have got a mountain of shite to sort out.
Remember, we are walking to the right solutions, not running to the wrong ones. I think we are being super diligent about signings so we a)actually get the right players to improve, and b) working within our financial constraints.

How can their owners do this and we can’t?
Chelsea have sold well once again this season. Gallagher gone for big money, Maatsen gone for big money. Lewis Hall gone for big money. Omari Hutchinson gone for €24m. This is not a case of owners spending from a bottomless pit. They are selling to buy. And all the players are selling are homegrown meaning the positive impact is even more magnified on their books.

Pace, direct dribbling, can cross and shoot

Injuries yes for sure. But he's clearly better than Sterling and Mudryk - what happens to them is the question.

 Another winger who can't score. That's a Chelsea signing all right!

Hasn't been the same since the knee injury.

Fee is a bit mad considering Gordon was 50m

Top signing that if he can stay fit

The feck is going in at Chelsea though the club is unrecognisable

He'll do a Gundogan and be completely injury free for the next 5 years. Dream signing for me, devastated he is going to Chelsea.

Really good player who would have been among my first choice replacements for Sancho (if we'd been able to sell him earlier this summer). Unfortunately for you, I and the rest of the Caf are terrible judges of players and everyone we think is a good signing turns out to be absolutely dreadful. You have been warned.

This. I'd rather our owners be prudent than doing a Chelsea.
Why exactly would you prefer prudent owners, over owners that sign the players that you need? Chelsea might be lunatics, but they do what we don't they sell well and shift fast.

I've felt like PSR has been copium that United fans have been feeding themselves. Seems like INEOS are just plain broke. I'm no financial expert though
This statement makes no sense. Lets not forget that the Glazers are currently far and away the majority owners of this club, INEOS is just running the business.

Good player, but not a player I'd be interested in us signing. Silly fee for such an unproductive, injury prone player.

I somewhat agree, Neto would have made sense in his breakout season but he's been largely impacted by absence.

Olise was the best move for the right wing for every club involved, so he's the real one both clubs have lost out on in this scenario.

Additionally, 50 million for Neto is not even close to being considered a bargain either, I think his value as a player in a market that's realistic is 45 million. A bargain would be anything circa 30-35 imo.

Wow.

Chelsea are literally a no fecks given football club.

There is no room for sentimentality, they will literally feck off a player they bought a few months prior for the latest shiny new toy.

Great player. Direct, fast and has end product. Surprised he's only gone for 50m.
