Me too :( This place will be in full muppet mode if he's about to sign. Expect the flight radar folks to be out in force!

We have flight radar folks here now? feck me this place has risen to all new levels of stalker mode

It's basically a PR struggle between the club and player. The club and player don't want the blame for the transfer.
Yeah, I think so.

Do you think theres any chance that our unwillingness to meet the £22m fee because we feel it's too much is made up by the media to discourage him to sign for us?

I hope not. But then surely a player would be able to wade through all the nonsense?

Where are all the reports, did expected that Pedro will be all over the twitter because yesterday comments from sporting president and from him.

Yep! Everytime there's a potential signing, and we know they're on tbeir way, you will typically see screenshots of flight paths showing planes heading from player's starting destination to Manchester. If it's a private jet, it just gets too much and people start to become frantic

Ahh I love muppet season. The people waiting outside Carrington, the "leaked" pictures of blood tests vials with players' names on. Haha.

Media don't know the inner workings of the transfer. They're just filling inches and columns, mostly fabricated.

I don't get why there's such a need for the parties involved to add a spin to it to suit themselves. Players probably don't take enough responsibility in these situations. Pedro knows he wont be first choice. Be brave and say you have to leave as a result and be done with it. Both sides will talk in circles and try to look as good as they can. I mean, would Barca fans really not understand if he wants to go due to being second choice?

I think we've just got to wait now for some movement. I would think the club want him in ASAP but becase Barca dont want rid of him I dont expect them to be in any rush.

Actually they cannot. If he had a €30m release clause in his contract and Real Madrid bid that they would have no say.
But if United, Arsenal, Bury and Wimbledon bid that then surely they could choose which club to sell to? Even if they didn't, the player would have a say.

It'll be a Woodward special. Try haggle down the price till the last day of the transfer window, then have to pay almost double to beat off another team in for him.

When has this happened ever?

No, in this case it's players decision.

I just want to point out that our "flight radar people" totally missed Schneiderlin flight. Hope it will not be the same with Pedro!

I don't understand why Pedro has agreed to that. Surely you'd get the verbal agreement written into the contract if you felt strongly enough to verbally agree it in the first place.

Well, it's actually what Barca board agreed that they would listen to offers in this range even though the actual release clause is 100m+

I wouldn't be surprised if he's having second thoughts. Lets be honest, he will never get ahead of their front 3 but he's next in line to play instead of either one of them and get plenty of games.

Snippet of quotes attributed to Pedro from Sky Sports (pretty encouraging he finally mentions us - sort of):

"I know who I am and I will always be of Barca. Such people shouldn't speak in this way. I've not said what Robert's said, or at least not how I said it.

"I'm calm, happy and I will always continue giving everything if I continue at this club. Manchester? Yes, there are nice challenges on all sides.

"Today I'm here and I'm happy. And if I go I will go with my head held high having always given everything. These fans and this club are incredible."

This is the most on transfer ever.

I think he is having Fellaini in mind.

Perhaps thats what he is thinking but this doesn't really describe the Fellaini transfer at all, no one else was in for him for starters and we didn't try to haggle the price down so much as Moyes fecked about either trying to sign someone else first/instead of Fellaini. I the mean time allowing his lower his release clause to expire.

Try haggle down the price till the last day of the transfer window, then have to pay almost double to beat off another team in for him.

It's quite baffling that there's people that don't want this guy. He's the perfect signing, and a big upgrade on Young and the Di Maria we seen at United.

He really does not want to leave does he?

I wouldn't force the issue if his heart isn't in it. I mean, it's just Pedro. We don't need you that much either pal.
Definitely. I'm sure we'll get by just fine with Mata and Young.

That because he got the bus up from Southampton?

We need bus trackers. Pedro could be a Bergkamp in the flying stakes.
