If we sign Pedro, does that it is BaleOFF? :(
When was it ever on? Bale says he's happy. His agent says he wont move. His Welsh manager says he won't move. Real Madrid say they won't sale. What am i missing?

How do you think people we view United since Moyes if we sign Pedro? With Schwein, Di Maria and Pedro leaving huge clubs to join is our image of world class players wanting to join us growing since the Moyes decline?

Ignore Di maria has left

Soon as we got LVG, our image started changing for the better.

I do get this.. But surely living in Hale, Alderley Edge or elsewhere in the Cheshire countryside allows them the chance to live a relatively incognito life away from the hustle and bustle of LDN. Surely not every player craves London?

And anyway, Manchester is a fantastic city with plenty of chances for players to gain these experiences.

Absolutely, but not all players are settled down with wags & kids though - where a country house & the surroundings would be bliss.

Manchester is wicked - I never said it wasnt. I love it. I went to Uni there in 1994 - brilliant days & nights. I aint comparing cities at all - they're both unique in their own way.

I'm just highlighting the draw of London & funnily enough, my Mum's going over there for a few days tomorrow for a mini-holiday - goin to Buckingham Palace of all places - so she's bound to get taken aside by security with her strong Norn Iron accent :D

I'm just saying that jumping ship from a place like Barcelona is a massive deal & the lifestyle change must be a massive contrast coming to England.

Alot of footballers will choose the London lights over a football mecca & that's very sad, but much of that is down to their wags & family though, which is understandable, but its the footballer that got them all in the fantastic position they're in & he should decide where he wants to play his football & what's right for his career - especially if a proper big club comes calling..

I don't think he's any better than Young was last season. Or, he's maybe slightly better, but let's see how he fits into the team and league. He definitely adds something to the right wing position which Mata doesn't have, but I do actually think Mata has been performing well at the right wing.

But there is always the question of whether he will adapt well or not. If he adapts perfectly, he may be our best winger this season.
Come on.... Young played well but he had like 2 goals and 4 assists? Pedro gets over 10 goals a season when he's a sub, let alone as a starter. Young doesn't have a patch on him, with all due respect.

I think Schwein leaving Bayern at all was a huge surprise to everyone. Pedro leaving Barca slightly less so, but still a surprise if he does eventually leave. Kudos to the scouting team to have their fingers on the pulse on this, and moving quickly into the picture. LvG does come across as a polarising character, but in general our appeal has definitely gone up since Moyes. The big sponsorship money coming in doesn't hurt either.

United never really lost any appeal even under Moyes, after all, he did sign Mata. A lot of world class players have come to the Premiership in recent years due to the vast amounts of money being offered to them. It's no surprise now that United are offering the same types of wages and paying huge transfer fee's that the top players are coming here too. Many players have a strong affinity to United because of the memories they will have of watching United dominate when they were growing up.

United have always had a huge appeal to many top foreign players due to the history and respect the club and its ex players hold around the world. The stadium is regarded as one of the best in the world, the large fan base, the history of dominating home and abroad, now throw the fact the club is willing to spend the big bucks and pay astronomical wages to world class stars and I think we can all expect this trend to continue, especially all the time the club is attracting huge sponsorship deals, and especially all the time we have a loveable lunatic like Ed Woodward in charge of the purse strings.

He is coming! Starter for Manchester United or bench for Barcelona...the choice is obvious, well I hope it is!
Im not sure if he'll be a guaranteed starter every game but he's not asking for that anyway. He just wants more playing minutes and he'll definitely get more with us.

Young is completely average so his place is gone...Pedro surely has to be a starter considering what we have. I would go for
Depay--Mata--Pedro

He wants to leave for more playing time. He's never going to get that as long as those 3 Barca forwards remain at the club. Add to that the new youngsters who are breaking through, his minutes are only ever going to diminish. He just turned 28, he can play easily a full 4-5 seasons at a new club, at a high level. That's potentially 200 games if he stays fit, compared to probably less than 100 at Barca.

The only question is, does he want to play for us? The fact that no other club has come into the picture gives me hope that maybe his preferred choice is already made known in the market.

His comments show he's certainly going to leave. Most likely us but I wouldn't rule out other clubs. Just hope we get it done. We'd give him a starting role and way more playing time than at Barca.

It looks likely that he will leave, just some niggling thoughts here and there perhaps but I think he will leave and hopefully its to United.

Pedro during the trophy presentation was hilarious. More awkward than Ashley Cole at a team photo, and the opposite of John Terry.

It'll be a Woodward special. Try haggle down the price till the last day of the transfer window, then have to pay almost double to beat off another team in for him.

If he does come, is his heart going to be in it? He seems very depressed about having to leave Barca from those pictures and the interview. It's more like he feels forced to leave them than actually wanting to come here because he really wants to play for Manchester United.

I'm guessing he loves living there as much as he loves the club, so moving to England will just compound his bad feelings. I feel like he'll be another Di Maria if he does come. I hope I'm wrong of course, because he would be an amazing signing if it worked out.

He gave an interview after the match..

I just put all the tweets together. There is a video doing the rounds though..
He really does not want to leave does he?

I wouldn't force the issue if his heart isn't in it. I mean, it's just Pedro. We don't need you that much either pal.

Players coming here for the wrong reasons once again. Will we ever learn? Obviously he won't say he wants to leave for United, but you know he's being honest. No way he'd leave them for us if he was playing regularly.

Hard to understand how United fans could expect anything different. Cantera player in perhaps the greatest team ever, natural that he expressed what he did

But also naive to believe that translates to getting a disgruntled or unmotivated player

@FCBarca

to me, bartomeu admin = rosell admin

it's just silly to ask pedro to play further for the club when all parties admit his departure is happening. and that's pointless not to give your youngsters the chance to step up under such situation. that's the main reason i don't like enrique. he is classless. if i'm munir i would think about leaving barca also.

btw, why laporte failed to beat bartomeu? certainly the treble did make a great help to bartomeu that is something i can understand

Concur obviously, Rosell & Bartomeu are indistinguishable as far as the running of the club

Lucho is focused on results rather than integrating/developing youth. One of several key differences with Pep. The Deulofeu case in particular has been poorly handled and similar at risk with Samper and Adama

No one is forcing Pedro to do anything but the board via Grupo Godó is already disseminating propaganda - shameful but this is the board

Laporta dropped the ball in terms of preparing for the election, not sure it was an earnest attempt rather than succumbing to pressure to run & course correct the club. Treble complicated things but Barto et al got away with several illegal/unethical advantages to help ensure the victory as well

Hristo is being Hristo, on top of which he's a Cruyff disciple. Some of you clearly don't know the history or that LVGs rep precedes him as well
