Obviously they have to be the right players. Pedro would be a good signing.
That's two major issues you speak of. Plus if we lose DDG and don't replace him with someone of his quality, that's a bit of a problem in my opinion.
We will sign another attacker thats almost a certainty. Too much smoke about Pedro for that one to not be likely at this stage.
A new Centreback would be great if we could sign a top class one but thats not possible it seems so it's not a real issue. Smalling, Jones, Rojo, Evans, McNair and now Blind isn't bad options no point signing someone else just to up the numbers back there.
I highly doubt De Gea will be leaving at this stage if Real wanted him badly enough this summer they would have coughed up the money we want for him but they haven't. He will stay and return to the starting lineup in the next few weeks.

From the start of the Pedro rumours one thing that got mentioned a lot was that Barca did not want to sell until after the cup games they are playing to start the season. How much has this dragged this transfer out?
It hasn't dragged it out at all. Its just a fake media narrative. If we want to sign Pedro, he wants to join us, and Barca are willing to sell then the transfer will happen imo. If it doesn't, then one or more of the three conditions wasn't met. What the media have to say about it is irrelevant.

I think its the usual unfounded speculation. Journos and posters need something to talk about. I think the transfer will go through unless something unforeseen happens, like Pedro himself having a change of heart.
After seeing Memphis on the left Friday night, I'm not all that excited about Pedro. He's better than Young, and would be useful to have, but Memphis should be first choice on the left.

Yes, true. Like I said after consulting with Pedro. I think as a player the value at which you are sold is also a measure of your importance or capability. The board when agreed with his request to sell him, should have also told him how highly he is valued. 30m value for a attacker looks bad in today's world, even pedro should acknowledge that.

James Milner played lot of games last season in a similar position that Pedro can play - I think we can safely say that Pedro will.
And Milner left them due to lack of gametime, doubt that Pedro would be content with it either.

Do we think lvG would move Mata to number 10 after his comments about preferring to play a second striker and not a midfielder? Personally I think Pedro and Depay on the wings would be excellent, however Mata seems to be the only player we have capable of playing that final pass.

Suited Barca better then Sanchez did as he's more of a team player and more about doing little give and go's, more of a supporting cast player so to speak. Sanchez is more direct and an individual. Sanchez is definitely a better player, but Pedro is still a very good player.
What exactly did Memphis do on Friday that convinced you he's better than Pedro??
Pedro is not Sanchez good, but he is reminds me a bit of Montero with better goalscoring ability. He is not the missing piece in our attack, but he will vastly improve our team going forward over young. I am bit worried about the gap in quality between our attacking midfielders and strikers though.

Personally I always preferred Sanchez out of him and Pedro when they were the main Barca wingers and I think we could use a player in Sanchez's mould more but Pedro also definitely has something to offer. With Pedro though we would need to ensure we can move the ball faster and for me we'd want Mata in the hole much more than Depay as Mata can play that pass which Pedro is looking for to play him in from wide areas.
Would instantly displace Navas, and their attack would be even scarier than it is now.
I agree and he is a better acquisition than De Bryune for £50m since, City already has Silva who is very similar to Bryune. I hope he comes to United and if he does, that will be a great addition to our team.
