Paulo Dybala

If Spurs get him, surely there must be questions asked about our people? Yes, I am calling you Shirley.

Yep, Mata and Lintard, we are well set

The issue of whether we are "well set" is miles away from your original assertion of "completely irrelevant".

We will land where we land in this transfer window, it really doesn't matter that much. Nobody has ever won anything in a transfer window, successful clubs become successful through implementation of a strategy over a number of windows. Dybala was never part of our strategy, he came up as an opportunity but I don't think anyone was even clear on where he would fit in. So its clearly better long term if we stick to the original plan, whatever that is.

That aside, "Lintard"? Really? If we set aside the correlation between your use of that and your obvious immaturity regarding the transfer window, that is outright offensive. Surely a mod is picking this stuff up and carding? fecking hell like. feck off to reddit with that shit, this forum should have better standards than that.

It'll be funny if this deal breaks down in the last moments.

Deal if far from done. Nothing in Italian media and Spurs reliable journalist said what Romano said. Agent fee and image rights issue is tough to resolve within deadline.

Kane
Son
Alli
Lucas
Dybala
Lo Celso
Eriksen
Ndombele

All of these would walk into our starting eleven. I am not one to overreact but we are being run into the ground and the worst thing is that us fans can do nothing about it.

As someone said earlier, I think it's just Levy showing off their ambition.

This will be our biggest issue this season. Yes, we can't control midfield and yes, we don't have much creativity in the team, but the endless slew of missed chances from Rashford/Martial is going to be painful to watch.

I agree, I cannot see how we are going to play any form of promising football or attain good results when we have weakened our midfield and attack, which was already average. I think this season might even be more frustrating than the last one.

I highly doubt Martial and Rashford are going to be able make up for Lukaku's goals and more to be able to get top four.

It maybe a hard pill to swallow, but if Dybala signs for Tottenham that won't be a good sign for us. It will have significant repercussions on our brand and in any future plans for our club.

I'm not hoping it fails, I actually want him to go to Tottenham, let the fury reach its maximum with this administration.

This will be fun. Not sure Tottenham want to get him in on 350k when players like Eriksen are getting 100k. It will be their Sanchez moment.

Ed not looking good here where are his "do things other clubs could only dream off" cojones now?

I think this could be true, also surely the commercial rights could be discussed after he had signed if Levy really wants them?

I dont know really how things works on that level in modern football but if i was a simple man and owner of a football club, i pay wages and transfer fees so players can perform on the pitch for my team. Everything else shouldnt be of high priority if sporting part is most important but if for your most important part is to slap some players face on a Chinese tractor then yea.

Maybe but that also depends, if 3rd party has fixed number or value in their eyes might increase even more. Maybe when you try to renew his contract dunno like i said.

Eriksen is gone to be fair but it means they are have to match it for Kane... suddenly 20m a year for Dybala turns into 30m a year and who knows how it affects Son and Alli

EDIT: agree it will be fun !

It was true in 2014 but in 2019 it doesn't apply anymore, that's basically one football cycle of subpar performances. Our reputation isn't exactly great, I haven't really followed french media this summer but in the last years I can assure you that United reputation has been terrible, it's accepted that we are a fallen giant and no one seem to think that we are getting up anytime soon.

Plus in the real world no footballer is ever going to demand one wage from one club and then a smaller one from another a week later.

Unless the player is not too keen on joining club #1 so he makes an unrealistic "China money" demand to sway them away but if it's accepted it's a jackpot.

Careful, apparently Delaney is a fraud and anybody who foolishly puts anything related to his opinion up in this forum gets flamed to oblivion.

Delaney is fraud, his articles are shit and his transfer stories are just laughably shit.

no idea how Spurs can afford his wage demands.

what a depressing sorry end to the window. oh well, we still have Rashy right?

Now I'm beginning to doubt there is an injury scare involved if Juventus are prepared to subsidise his salary to get him off. At least it made sense in a swap for Lukaku because they'd be getting a center forward back. This makes little to no sense at all.

Spurs have the champions league and are in the capital. Some foreign players prefer to be there. Its still not a good look for us to be losing players to Spurs if we have the desire to be in front of them again

Don't worry we have Lingard aka "0.012%" starting and running around a lot, together with Matic.

It could be a tax thing ? Juve pay at a lower rate for his salary, compensated by the transfer fee. Spurs pay the rest at a high tax rate ?

And the sad part the people that did all the damage arent going anywhere anytime soon. Its become more than a bad running gag. We have finished 3 times in the last 6 years out of the CL qualifying and have had no success in the market over that period. But there are signs of changes in the market from us that seem to be from Ole, hope we stick with him and see what he can do with youth and some planning.

Utd are a shambles at the moment.

That's just not going to happen though is it?

If Dybala had spent the whole summer dreaming of leaving Juventus specifically to join Spurs maybe, but there's only one person on this forum (and probably planet) who would think that is plausible.

He is on 250K per week already, it would take a stupid of highest order to agree 150K per week at new club.
He's on 210k gross. 115k net. Not sure where all those figures keep popping up. Well inside Spurs budget.

If Dybala joins Spurs after snubbing United that will be a shocker, and United will definitely need to do some deep introspection of the direction of their brand because that will be a very bad sign.

No Dybala
No Eriksen
No Bruno Fernandes
NO sms
No bloody longstaff

No top 4 for us while spurs ( if this comes off) look way stronger . Ugh.

Genuinely surprised at this. It’s anti-Levy.

Fair play if they do get him in, though. It’s a massive show of ambition.
