Paulo Dybala

I’m not liking spending so much on a player that doesn’t really want to be here, and likely will ask to be moved in the short term.
That’s the thing bothering me about this one.

Sending his agent to negotiate with us isn't exactly screaming I DONT WANT TO GO!! He might prefer to stay, but when Sarri drops the hammer, everything could change in his mind.

The thing i don't understand is that they're reporting that Juve are selling Dybala because they need the cash... but they're offering a straight swap, meaning they won't actually get any cash for him??

They want a striker and don't have existing funds to buy one. If they didn't offer Dybala in exchange how would they pay United for Lukaku?

He has no option than to leave, whether this is too sudden is his personal problem but career wise, you wouldn't want to be in a place where you are alienated and being the last in pecking order with your bosses not liking you.

I believe He will come. Doesn't make sense for him to stay at this point.

Essentially

Sold Dybala for 80million

Bought lukaku for 80 million, that 80 million is divided over a contact (5 years). Thus in 2019, lukaku costs 16 million

Juve have made a profit of 64 million on the deal :)

Accounting purposes, they buy Lukaku for 80m, we buy Dybala for 80m. It's a swap deal in agreement but on paper they can split it up differently. Also in squad build up they can have Lukaku replace Dybala, Mandzukic, Kean and Higuain essentially.

Honestly, if Pogba is itching to leave and him and Dybala are good friends then I doubt he's keen to join.

He's been pushed out and one of his friends who could help him settle is looking to leave

Problem with that is why would we agree to that?
As desperate as we are to get rid of Lukaku, allow the money to be spread across 5 years is dumb from our point of view.

Or Pogba is fine to stay here for the time being and when he sees Dybala come while Real Madrid struggles, decides he can stay here longer.

We will do the same with Dybala as well. Win win !

The only word that made any sense here is "essentially". The rest made me dizzy.

Have we made the same profit?

It is bullshit, and makes no sense.
It does. The can say they're getting €80m for Dybala but can amortise the €80m cost of Lukaku over five years. All this for FFP of course.

No, they are just able to put £64 million onto this years books, this assuming Dybala is fully paid for already on their books.

Really Berb? Guess he hasn't watched much of the two Silva's then. Even Scholes proved how the biggest strength is in the mind which he stated Dybala has. Dybala will destroy the league if he comes and is motivated.

Don't know why some are being negative. He will move once we have reached an agreement.
Because they need something to moan about. Some on here convinced themselves we were doing no business and that we would end up with nobody.

One shitshow after another, must admit, its actually incredible on so many levels, how we menage to do these things.

I'm really not sure how swapping Lukaku a player who doesn't fit into Ole's system for potentially Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandžukić can be considered a 'shitshow' but okay.

Where are some fresh news on the negotiations? There have been nothing since the evening

Explain it please. I just don't get it.

They can spread the cost of Lukaku over his contract, so in essence only £16 million has to go through this years accounts (5 year contract).

They can then put the full £80 million we pay for Dybala through this years accounts (assuming he is fully paid for already), so it balances their accounts by £64 million.... I think.

Once again my question needs to be asked.
Why would we allow that as a club?

Surely amortization needs to be agreed upon by the selling club to the buying that they are happy to accept the buying club to pay it off on installments.

Yup! I thought so!

Completely beyond my understanding.

I don't like to do big claims and i never did it before. I am still reserved towards Maguire and especially James. In fact i am always cautious in these things. Some say that i kill the mood, moaner, etc... But if we buy Dybala i think that he can have impact for us like Aguero had for City.

P.s. moaner in me still thinks that we will not buy him.;) Too good to be true.

Please read my above question as well.

For me that player is Sancho.
