Paulo Dybala

Juve are more like the sort of team to scavenge for our academy players, it would be rather out of character for them to throw in a 40m bid.

Quite a few rumours circulating that it's Arsenal but I really hope it's us.

Sounds like BS to me. Drawing up some interest because nobody wants to pay full whack for a player they openly want to sell.

If Arsenal get Dybala while we are sniffing around mediocrity like Berahino and dreck like Ings it would be disheartening.

They're pretty well set up to add a pacey dude in their attack, though, paired up with Tevez in front of all those midfielders.

Alternatively...

Depay - Dybala - Vietto

That won't ever happen btw. As Wilson wouldn't get a look in, Rooney would have be pushed back into a midfield 3 (or dropped).

I could certainly see us lining up with:

Depay - Rooney - Dybala

This would be brilliant (although Rooney would get one of the position with one of those three in bench). Wilson would have to go for a couple of seasons in loan.

Just imagine Di Maria on a similar position to Madrid, with Herrera and Blind behind him. It would be a super-exciting team to watch.

Never going to happen (signing all three of them) but I really hope that we'll sign 1-2 of those 3 players.

Herrera-Blind- Di Maria will never work. So I don't know how it will be super exciting. Too lightweight and not enough power. Blind has shown in the last month that in the long term he will be backup. Far too many players skip past him with far too much ease. And if we believing that De Brun fella, Van Gaal does not rate Herrera and he could be off in the summer.

We still need to address midfield in the summer. But if DDG stays, you could argue we could address any of the other 10 positions.

Only with an inferior record in an inferior league.
Better all round game, better highlights and more wow moments. Kane has better constitency and is a better finisher.

At the moment, Kane is the better player but in long term, Dybala will become better than him IMO.

I don't think Arsenal will be involved. They are more than happy with Giroud, and his record is pretty good. They've also got Welbeck, Sanchez and Joel campbell coming back along with Akpom. I think a striker is the last thing they will want.

Lamela went to wrong club, the move itself wasn't a poor choice.

Disagree. What club would have been better? He doesn't seem to suit the Premier League at all despite the fact he was joining a club prepared to play him every week.

When they say staying in Italy I wonder if that means a move to Juve or Roma, as it would seem pointless him wasting anymore time at Palermo.

Juve is more the type of club who make deals with the players behind the club's back so that they will get the player for half the fee. If Dybala had decided to remain in Italy then there's no way anyone would spend 40m for him.

I hope Palermo will do the same to him as Napoli did with Hamsik when he announced that he wants to go to AC Milan (and only AC Milan). They stick to their guns, forcing Hamsik to commit a massive U Turn and pledge allegiance to them again. At the end he was presented to the fans and had to jump to their taunts

Goonersworld did a poll and a new CF was by far the most popular choice for next signing. I don't agree but there you go.

I think every fan deep down likes a sexy new striker  but not sure that's Arsenals biggest weakness. To be fair you don't have a lot of holes in your squad at present, just maybe need a few TOP quality buys now, definitely another CB atleast.

Arsenal could do with another striker, think quite a few fans have worked out Welbeck isn't the answer for them beyond being a squad player and if they want to start competing for the league they will need a striker who is better than Giroud.

From listening to what Wenger says, he doesn't want just a poacher as a striker. He want's somebody who is comfortable linking play and bringing in others around him. Giroud/Welbeck fit that mould. I think it's a reason why he has never gone and bought a hernandez/Higuain type striker. Dybala can fill that mould but I don't think him pulling wide into the wingers area will be what Wenger likes, he wants a wall to bounce off for midfield runners.

Well I'm not sure if they are after Dybala, more the case I can easily see them going after a striker. To be fair Dybala fits the mould of what Wenger would want in a striker than Higuain does and Arsenal came quite close to signing him, only failing to agree on wages.

While that's true I think it was more a case of Wenger bowing to the fans wishes than him desperately wanting him, but who knows.

Giroud has been scoring really well since his leg injury, I don't really see anybody out there right now who will do better than he has, apart from maybe Benzema?. Clearly though he won't be available.

The striker market is a tough 1 right now, which is why Dybala will have quite a few suitors I feel.

Madness. They need a keeper and a DM far more, and maybe a right-winger too.

I can see them buying another (probably young) striker to compete with Giroud and Welbeck, but cannot see them spending silly money as I'm pretty sure that they are happy with Giroud up top. His lack of pace doesn't really matter considering the pace in behind.

I'm not sure the wages comment is correct - or at least Napoli came in with a late bid that trumped ours (thanks to Cavani money) and Real accepted whilst having already accepted our bid.

We definitely need another option in midfield first and foremost - Schneiderlin would be ideal and I really really hope the rumours of us circling are true.

After that I would think we would need another RW if Walcott doesn't sign on, or we move him on. I'd like Chamberlain to be given the position permanently though, so if Gnabry can get fit and on the part again it wouldn't be a desperate situation (but considering our injury record it is always a desperate situation).

I don't think we need another keeper if Szczesny can re-capture last season's form and Ospina looks like a good keeper, though neither are truly World Class at this stage of their careers. The only World Class keeper possibly available would be Cech, and I really don't see Mourinho selling him to us any time soon (or is his contract running out?).

He'll probably go to Juve for something very shady like 15 mil + 50% of three young players' rights that nobody has ever heard of.

Palermo president has said Arsenal and Juve have made offers but he'd prefer to stay in Italy.

Neither Arsenal or Juventuis will pay 30m. I think we could get him cheaper. I would be annoyed if he ends up at Arsenal.

Schneiderlin would be a brilliant signing for Arsenal. No idea why Wenger wouldn't just overpay and get it done. You have potential in other positions you can rely on if you miss out, but you need someone like
Schneiderlin to deal with counter attacks and do the massive amounts of work required by a player in that spot with the rest of the team rather gung-ho and Ozil featuring as a 10.

I disagree about the keepers. Szczesny seems to me like an 8 when on and a 5 when not and Ospina is a 7 all the time. That's a massive step below Courtois and De Gea, and even below Hart and Lloris. When you look at Arsenal's XI, the keeper is generally the 9th-11th best footballer on the list. Its just not good enough at a position where you can make one signing and fix things for 5-10 years.
