Paulo Dybala

To be fair, the Serie A is not producing a lot of talent lately and most of it is in Juventus hands (Dybala is clear testament to that). Juventus is fast becoming the Bayern Munich version of the Serie A. I find that a bit of a shame TBH. Italian players may not be the most skilled players around but they tend to have this tactical awareness that very few players in Britain has. Also they are not expensive as long as you avoid the De Laurentis and Elkanns-Agnellis who would skin you alive for a penny.
Bayern munich buys from everyone in their league, Juventus can't and don't do that. Absurd for anyone to claim that they are like Bayern.

I am only saying that they are moving towards that situation and not that they have already achieved it.

The situation is getting pretty similar TBH. Juventus are by far the richest club in Italy and with the Milan clubs in shambles there's really no one out there who can compete with Juventus at any level (money, experience, infrastructure etc). You only have to look at the Serie A table. Juve are 16 points clear on top with Roma, Lazio and Napoli (three provincial clubs) trailing behind.

Juventus way is more discreet that Bayerns but the devil is in the detail. Juventus had been poaching most of the Serie A finest young talent lately. Pogba was courted by both Milan clubs but he ended up at Juventus. Same thing about Coman and Pereyra. Young talent like Berardi, Leali, Masi and Rugani are all Juventus bound or linked.

I think that the Dybala deal has shown how strong Juventus are in Italy. Arsenal and City had offered crazy money for him but Dybala had turned them down with ease as he wanted to remain in Italy. That does sound like Bayern to me.

They aren't moving towards that situation as they've shown no interest in some of the big names that are at big clubs. You can't blame them for managing their club better than their competition. They are the richest, with the most buying power but don't throw their weight around like that in the league. Roma and Napoli probably feels no threat of them signing some of their players. Neither does milan, Lazio or inter.

The clubs behind Juve keep making the same mistakes and end up not catching up. Napoli has basically spent as much money as them in recent years but aren't getting better. Roma need a striker but foolishly don't invest in one. The Milan clubs are hamstrung by FFP.

After the success of Pogba and Moratta its only natural that Juve would realise that young players is the way to go. Roma has been at it for ages which explains their recent success. Inter have Kovacic, Icardi and Shaqiri. Milan has picked up Saponera and Destro.

Dybala is a big signing by Juve but he basically made the choice himself cause he wanted to stay in the league and Juve are dominant so it only makes sense. Plus he's from Palermo, which doesn't hurt the other biggish clubs there. Roma pulled off a similar sized signing when they got Juan Iturbe. Only Rugani out of those other big names looks one with a certified big future and they've had him on the books for a while.

I am blaming no one. I am just stating a strategy were the best young players are going to the same club which forces the other clubs to turn elsewhere (mostly to players no one wants like Podolski or Vidic). Juventus has a monopoly on the best young talent in the Serie A, pretty much as Bayern has in Germany and United had in the EPL in the early 90s. Of course you can always mention the ones who manages to trickle down the net like for example Icardi and Shearer. However those are exception of the case rather then the result of a healthy competition.

PS out of the list I've made you, the biggest talent is Berardi and not Rugani.

Bayern buy players from other title challengers... Juve can't and don't buy a player from Roma, for example.

Surprised nobody bumped this thread. Scored the winning goal against Milan yesterday and is topscorer for Juventus who are finding their way back up again. Interesting to see how he will develop.

This is the transer forum, you should open a new thread in the football forum.

Lovely little player. I won't why couldn't we get these players when they were available for cheap; and that has been a issue for a whole, not just the last three years. Vidal, Verratti, Griezmann, Dybala are some of the obvious ones that we have missed out on before their cost skyrocketed.

He was wanted by many clubs but he prefered to stay in Italy.

I think Barcelona will be in for him in two years time.

Not a chance we'll buy him. He's Barcelona bound in 3+ years.

He dreams to play for Barcelona. But also Sane, Mahrez, Pogba, Verrati and others. The reality is that they could go where the money is, mainly if it's a top club and they would play every week. Isco is Barca fan and Iniesta a Madrid fan. So at the end, they will do the best for the team they are playing.

Dybala sounds impossible for the moment if we dont play Champions League.

I wish there was even a chance of signing this kid, he has been fantastic nearly every time I've watched Juventus this season.

The thought of him and Martial playing in the same team is pure sex

This is one of the best players in the game right now, as an american would have put it.

He's just unreal. Look at his left foot when he's taking free kicks. RIDICULOUS. It's more often he puts it in the net than misses.

Looks like your average joe but is so far away from being an average player you can get.

If my wildest and wettest dream was to come true it would be having Dybala in our team. He would be a direct replacement to Rooney.

Looks a very good player. Fantastic dribbling skills and seems to be very aware of his surroundings. Doubt we'll go for him as that would be too sensible.

Every class player is nailed on for Barcelona? Truth is they can't all go there.
We have to try our best for these kind of players even if it's stupid money. I don't think Juventus will flat out reject a €100m bid. This is what we have to do. We shouldn't be in the business of trying to make friends and trying not to upset other clubs.

Fantastic player, every time ive seen him this year he's been their best player.

Why would juve sell him? Better yet why would he want to leave Juve to join us?

Can't see them selling him after a season

The club needs to force the issue a little in this regard imo. Even if we have to overpay massively we need to bring in a few top class talents like Dybala. The more players like him we have playing for the club the more attractive we will be to other top players

For enough cash Juventus would sell any player

That is why Pogba is STILL there... I believe he will leave in summer, but its obvious they have also turned down offers for him over the years.

Perhaps they felt they weren't offered enough for him? If the caf is to be believed he's available to anyone offering a 100 million euros

Anyway lets see what happens, I'm just doubtful they will sell him this summer (Dybala) especially when it looks likely they will sell Pogba anyway

EDIT: Also didn't Chelsea offer £75m in the summer.

Thinking about it and you are probably right. Its incredibly unlikely that Juve will sell both Pogba and Dybala in the same window

Im sure Juventus would want players like him there too.

I just don't see any plausible reason for them to sell. He seems settled, and is doing great, at a club where he will win trophies on all fronts.

I would be very surprised if Juventus sell him just for the money.

I read today that Aguero wants to spent the rest of his career at City. My mind boggles. I wish we had a better Argentinian loving Manchester for ourselves too.

Yes, but how much is enough. He's their best player, better than Pogba. And they haven't sold Pogba so far despite that there were rumours that other teams had offered a lot of money for him.

Dybala will cost in the region of a hundred million euros IMO. The right time to sign him was last summer.

He plays behind the striker, also he can play as a right left forward. However, he doesn't play as the main striker. It would be a good signing but I think he will stay at Juventus and he could end up at Barca in a couple of years.

Why do people keep saying that he's bound for Barcelona? Who is he going to replace in that front three? Messi? Neymar? Suarez?

I was switching between the Barca and Juve games on shitty streams. The Juve no. 21 seemed to be a real quality player, but inconsistent. Was he Dybala or Hernanes?
