Footballs just gon WWE. Next we'll have Robson run out and steel chair DeJong

Ferguson is a fecking genius. He's just lifted the morale of every United fan in the world from "down in the dumps" to "I feel like I just took 10 grams of MDMA".

Eh, reading this thread and twitter suggests otherwise. It's a very mixed response to say the least. Some are as you describe, but there's a lot of people on the other side of the fence.

I don't care if this is good or bad. Right now I'm so happy I will see Scholes playing again :D I missed him hitting a cross field pass so much :D

Paul Scholes He scores goals :D

It's nice to have him around, and let's try to make the most of it while it lasts, but he retired because he no longer felt he was up to it.

It really does send out the worst possible message about our current squad and the ability to add to it.

Scholes to score the winner today.

So happy to see him back.

No, it's says something about our injury situation, not our ambitions. Fergie was never going to shop in January, that my friends, is unambitious.

I suspect Scholsey's had is arm twisted. Personally, I'd get VDS back and all.

Personally, I would love to. VDS played in a charity game last week. Afterwards, he said he can't play on the highest level anymore, mentioning he's has trouble catching/controlling long distance shots...

Great news and even of we don't win anything this season we'll at least watch the master play again.

Great news I think, fecking love me a bit of Scholesy

Is Ole doing anything this afternoon?

Unbelievable! I am delighted I get to see my favourite player again when I never thought I would.

This transcends anything current and present about the club, this is a chance for some of us to see something again that we thought as gone.

I really can't say I'm in support of this, as much as I love Scholes. Who's next, Neville?

I agree and I find it weird that some of you actually support this. As much as we all love Scholes this is a negative statement from the club. Can you imagine Madrid or Barcelona reinstate Raul or Deco.

We can speculate all day long why Fergie don't invest in a good midfielder but this strange move is a step back for a ambitious club who wan't to win trophy's. I don't like it and it give's me bad vibe's.

Probably the safest option.

Not long since he's retired
It's Scholes... he will have kept fit no doubt
Better than a stop gap signing who wouldn't be guaranteed football
He can retire again once normal service is resumed

Forget the rest of the month and concentrate on today. That's what Fergie's doing.

Raul and Deco still do play football though and they're doing well. We've re-signed a player who hasn't played competitive football in seven months and is probably a weeks away from being match fit anyway. It once again shows how big a mistake not buying a midfielder in the Summer was, and even more so how far away from the first team our hyped up kids are.

Still, better him than Rafael and Park in midfield.

Sounds if he wanted to comeback...dunno, I still think he's been asked to play again. But heh...it's great to see him back.

Like somebody says, if he comes on the last 15-20 mins of every match and gives us a bit of creativity in the middle with his passing, and it wins us matches then happy days.
