37 passes , 36 successful, 1 assist. Not bad
Lets face it, he was shite, glad to see him back all the same

His return is a bad idea for me.
It was amazing to see him back, but a totally unnecessary risk. We were 3-1 up against 10 men. FFS.
I've been saying this for years, but I would never play Giggs and Scholes at the same time. Either one is still a great player. Both means we don't have the legs to run midfield.

Thanks Chief, finally some wise words. As much as I love to see him return it's a bad idea. Our game became slow and predictable and it almost cost us the victory. We must move forward, not backward. His return is a bad idea for me.
If it was purely the Glazers withholding money, why did we spend around £50 million in the summer on a goalkeeper, a centre half and another winger and not address the centre of midfield? Surely if Fergie only had £50 million to spend, and thought we had a midfield problem, he'd have used some of that money to address that issue?
Legs are still gone, his movement was limited today, I do think SAF may have pulled off a little masterstroke. The players didn't find out until in the dressing room, might have been a little confidence boost. He obviously looked good on the ball but the key thing here is this is as close an admission you will get from SAF that our midfield isn't there at the moment, though that will depend on how temporary this is.
