Paul Pogba

I would play 70-80m for Pogba.
I said it before, Pogba to Madrid, Luka to us.

Luka would be cheaper which would leave us money for other players.
If that is the case then yeah Modric would probably leave Real Madrid and we should do then everything to get him. A player like him would improve our midfield to another level.
I think it's a risk as Modric always seemed to want to stay in London and at 30 with a CL under his belt we could just be a place to play out his career for 3 or 4 seasons without giving the maximum effort. It might not be the case but I personally wouldn't risk it with other options out there.
Chelsea and Arsenal don't need him.

Let him live in London, we can buy Mickey Owen's helicopter from him cheap and pay him to fly Modric to practice each day.

Modrics style of play suggests he will struggle when he gets in his thirties and that speed he has is gone. Even Iniesta has started to drop. I don't disagree he's currently better than what we got. But I rather sign De Bruyne or younger players. We can't just keep filling it with galacticos.

Where as players like Alonso, Scholes and Pirlo can play until however they wanted.

Please explain.

And you say his speed is gone?

Modric doesnt rely that much on running and dribbling. I think he could adapt quickly even if his legs are gone. Technically superb, his passing and vision are fantastic and he is strong on the ball, i dont think he would struggle that much. Of course he runs more with the ball than Scholesy did, but his other attributes are still on a very high level.

Imagine Pogba and Fellaini in a two-man midfield... the best chest control in the league.

No I said when his speed is gone then he will struggle like all box to box midfielders tend to late on in their careers. Scholes adapted, but Modrics passing is nowhere near as good as his. His game relies on pressing high, which he won't be able to do as much.

I don't want to sign a 30 year old, who won't be cheap. No doubt in two years time we'd be saying if he can handle three games in a week, when he's 32.

We need to start signing the next Modric coming through rather than overspending. We certainly shouldn't give Madrid £30m for him, so they can go out and buy Pogba. There are also better and more suited options for us to go after.

I would love to see Modric here, but if we went for him, we'd need to bring in a more physical presence in midfield as well.

Pogba is a pipe dream, would rather spend that money solidifying other parts of the team. Get in Schneiderlin and Lars Bender for the central midfield positions, we can then play 4-3-3 or 4-3-1-2. Both of them will provide a solid midfield foundation for attack and defense.

Two of my first choices as well. I'd like Veratti, but can't see it happening.

One of the best CM's in the world? Yeah, why would he?

Let's go for Iniesta too then.

We should be aiming to sign the next potential best CMs rather than overspending on 30 year olds. Not look for short term fixes, which most fans seem to want. Then those same fans moan about them.

I'm a fan of Blind, but he is just so slow and lightweight, we need a couple of strong, fast box to box players. A winning team can be built without having a superstar in every position.

Fair enough I guess.

I'm a massive fan of Blind. Don't get this "solid squad player" stuff that people say either. He's been one of our best players this season, very intelligent and versatile too. Dennis Irwin type 9/10 consistency.

Maybe his passing is not as good as Scholes' (wouldnt say its 'nowhere near') but I'm sure he'd adapt.

Great tagline.

He'll be a Chelsea player. :p

Don't think he'll be leaving this summer, however if he does leave, push the boat. So sad he's injured and will likely miss the CL semi's(if they get there)

He'd be ace. And would make up for the bone headed fact we let him leave in the first place.

Nah, he'll be the face of Real Madrid's Galactico 3.0
Can't see where he'd play there. Modric, Kroos, James, Khedira, Illaramendi. Even if they sold the latter two they're stacked in his position with world class players.

Khedira will leave for free at the end of the season, Illarramendi has never been convincing, and James can play out wide. Anyways, when has this ever stopped Real?

True, that's never stopped them. Just seems really fecking stupid to spend £50, 60, or 70m on a player in a position where you already have world class players in. Are any of Bale, Modric, Kroos, or James going to be content with being a rotational player? Makes no sense.

They should be trying to buy Aguero or a RB. Positions where they can actually use upgrades.

Even if this would be the only deal in the summer I'd be satisfied. That's how desperate I want him to come back.

This is Real Madrid we're talking about here. Always wants new toys to play around with regardless of what their squad actually needs. No other logic involved.

Offer Mata as part of a deal as juve have been linked with him quite a bit recently?

I know player plus cash deals hardly ever happen but it would be a great player for them so perhaps on this occasion it could happen?

Bazoer at Ajax is already a better player than Pogba. This guy is class and has his head screwed on the right way. The closest I have seen to Frank Rijkard

Have you no soul?

He's played 11 games or something for Ajax..

Bale is gone from RM this summer as is Khedira.

He's a talent for sure, but you're overrating him massively. Lets see him perform for a whole season first. Pogba has proven it at Juventus, Bazoer still has to prove himself at Ajax.

There is absolutely no way to say that with any conviction yet. Bazoer has only a handful of games to his name and hasn't even remotely proven himself yet.

  I've never even seen Bazoer play before but I know there is no way he is better play than Pogba already.

He probably means better than Pogba at his age. Never seen him play so cant comment on that, but sounds more plausible.
