Becoming a right borefest, this transfer saga, starting to not like give a shit if he signs or not, I hope he does, but I trust Jose has other ideas if need be.

Sneijder.

.
Manager that Summer:

"We are not buying anybody else. Things can change but at the moment there is no value in the market. I am happy with what I have."

Manager this Summer:

"We are close to buying a top midfield player in the next few days"

So no, not Sneijder.

I can only speak for myself, but I don't remember being all that sure of Hazard coming, in fact of all these summer sagas, this is the only one where I've been certain because it's overwhelmingly obvious.

We could do with 2 midfielders. Was doing my matchday selection for tomorrow and we are very light. A good few need shipping out also.

Muppets are touchy folk

I can nearly imagine him crying while typing that out

People get exceptionally touchy over Pogba and don't get me wrong would love him here, will transform our team.

Just hope this gets sorted my tomorrow, Monday latest.

I'm certain we're going to hear something tonight. At least some flight tracking or something along those lines. He's surely on his way back to Europe sometime today/tonight, if Juventus expect him back tomorrow. Chances are he's going to be spotted somewhere, and all the guessing begins - once again.

To be fair, Pogba's holiday being the cause of this deal not signed yet is not enough to calm the panicky muppets, i believe the deal is done myself but refuse to believe that it hasn't been completed yet because Pogba can't be arsed to cut short his holiday for by a few days to complete a world record transfer. I might not be so calm if the deal isn't signed on Monday though

From what I remember from Hazard it was very close to Utd.

Pretty similar to this saga, Sky had breaking news to say their sources had said he had chosen us and there were tweets he had been offered the 7 shirt and shown round old trafford (which was indirectly confirmed by Fergie when he started banging on about history over money).

He then signed for Chelsea and our muppet hearts were broken.

It's going to be very interesting to see where he travels to.

MEN say jose expects him in the UK this weekend so we shall see.

Sky sports news reported that Hazard had chosen Manchester United. The player himself said that he's going to Manchester but didn't say if it was City or United. Then he ended up signing for Chelsea. Later, it emerged that the deal was 99% completed and we backed out when we learned that we had to pay agent fees.

For the Hazard deal we actually had more proof that he's joining rather than in this situation.

Sneijder.

I am surprised that people assume this means Pogba is done. I see this as him saying that we're after Pogba, but whether he comes or not, we'll sign a good Midfield player. I expect Mourinho has a backup (Matuidi most likely) who is locked in more or less if Pogba falls through.

Pogba has been holidaying right up until Juve need him back and I think he'll report back for training as expected.
No. Sneijder was nothing like this.

And you could be right with your second point but lets be honest here, and I really don't want to offend you but..., you're glass is always half empty :)

Back then I was pretty negative when it came to big signings as I just generally never felt we would put the money forward needed to make the deals happen, which is the exact opposite of now where it seems we'll pay anything to have anyone.

Ronaldinho was a different time and era and I was a broken little muppet when that one didn't happen, that really was in the bag.

This thread has gone to shit. It's just people arguing. It's very difficult, if you've not been on for 3 hours, to catch up with what's been going on and find out the latest news.

Of course Allegri was going to say he's due at training, he's a Juventus player, as Jose said, until he's officially not. Allegri isn't going to say "Pogba can do what he wants, If he wants to sign for United, he'll probs not come to training."

IF he's at Juventus training on Monday, then the deal isn't as far as we thought, in terms of any immediate announcement.. It doesn't, however, mean that the deal is off.

The only way he wont be at training on Monday is of we announce the deal Monday morning. It makes sense he is going straight to Turin anyway, he lives there, its his home. If he is signing for us, he will have stuff to do over there anyway before he leaves.

I know, it's just Pogba, pogba and pogba, it's getting tiresome, I really want him to sign, then Jose's shopping list is done, then maybe something else might pop up

So first they report medical this weekend and now they report he's going back to training and transfer negotiations continue. So they did jump the gun. We've been burnt too many times to blindly follow what the media says.

Getting sick and tired of this saga now. It seems no one in the press truly know what's going on. The most concrete we have to go on is the fact Jose himself thinks we are close to announcing our fourth signing (logic points to that being Paul). I'm usually one for a good transfer saga but this one has had so many twist and turns and "completed in the next 48hrs" I'm losing all interest in it.

At least that may be the most diplomatic thing to say, but there are plenty of examples of managers who haven't hidden the fact that one of theirs players was negotiating with another team. The latest example being van Gaal during the De Gea-Real Madrid saga. Many times managers have even publicly allowed players to to leave for negotiation etc.

So I don't buy the notion that Allegri has no other choice than to say that he expects Pogba back in training right away.

You'll need another round of electroshock treatment soon.
You shouldn't make fun of things like that. A forum member who's reading what you wrote may have a family member who went through the things you're suggesting.

Ooooh Madrid... that tropical paradise

I keep hearing this crap about weather, women and such. Like any rich player can't get himself a hot chick in England if they wanted to.

Apparently England only has crappy weather(well true in Manchester) and ugly women, can't find a hot babe w/o fecked up teeth(according to those pro Pogba to Madrid, not coming to United)

976 bloody pages and counting, 1+ month of Pogba imminently signing. Yep you are right, this is definitely grating. Lots of muppets offing themselves on the Allegri summons. Obviously the deal is not done and we should set a freaking deadline and give ourselves to effect plan B (Matiudi?).

Said in this context (you as the poster being the mental patient and the thread being the asylum) I doubt it'll cause much in the way of offence. Not that I think that it really concerns you anyway but we'll leave it at that.

I heard, that if you're good, you go to Madrid after you die.

Sigh. Madrid. Last bastion of European fascism to fall. How I yearn for your streets of gold and superior people and culture. I can't see a bull impaled with spears in the UK no matter how hard I try.

Madrid is life itself

Yeah and you're pointing out exactly what people have been saying for a long time now... Sky Sports are not a reliable source of information. They use whats out there, twist it a bit and add in "Sky Sports Sources understand...".
Yet many including myself have decided to take what Sky sports and one of the employees of their branch in Italy, Di Marzio say as fact.

You're asking how it got from "deal virtually agreed in principle apart from some elements of the payments" 5 days ago to "deal is virtually agreed between clubs" now?

Well, skippy, I'd say there's really not a big leap between those 2 articles at all.

Maybe you should go ahead and wait to see where he actually flies before writing off these stories.

Muppets just be patient and observe the development. It's too early to commit muppet suicide.

How about everybody slowing down a bit?

The headline is very improtant. "Paul Pogba returning to Juventus as Manchester United transfer talks continue" and you choose to ignore it.

The headline is written by the sub-editor and is his discretion. It is not the journalist's information that Pogba is returning, it is merely the comments by Allegri which the headline refers to.
