He is coming. I can feel it. I called it two weeks ago when I said this is going to be cafe's saga this summer. But this time it will end well. We will get our target.
Alright captain talk bollocks, just a few posts post back you said I was "captain obvious" for saying he'd probably end up signing a new contract at Juve or signing for Madrid. Make your fecking mind up.

why can't I get excited about this? I think I blew my wad with Jose. Nothing left in me. I'm spent. :(

For those who like a bet.. We are currently 1/1 favourites to sign the lad this summer on sky bet. Really short odds.

Surely there can't be this much smoke without fire. It's on :smirk:

No transfer id love to see more, but refuse to believe it will actually happen. I didn't think we'd have a chance last season and we had champions league football then.

Do Mourinho and money beat CL football? Maybe if we give him clauses against achieving top 4 next season.

Do i believe Real and Barca are truly unwilling to pay his price....feck no.

Would love Pogba back in a United shirt, but i dont see it happening, and im more inclined to believe we are the cash marker for Real/Barca/Juve negotiations.

Madrid won't try to buy both Pogba and Kante surely. We should try to get both imo. Both would be fantastic and Kante can't cost the earth. Is his BOC £20 million? It would be muppetsational is we pulled it off. Either of them though and we'll all be pulling it off.

i actually think they are once you factor in the Wage demand, juves world record fee demand and agent fees. He isnt worth that much to them they have a million superstars already, especially in midfield. We need that feel good factor push. Madrid would very much be un willing to spend all of that on pogba. They have bigger priorities.

Someone is still a little sour. This is transfer muppet mode/life. Im not sure you would understand it.

Jose is a big a factor in this. Even without CL football, we have an exciting project going on. LVG for all the criticism that he got, managed to lay the foundations for our youngsters and brought them into the first team. Pogba has always felt like he has unfinished business here, now is as good a time as any to come home. As long as Juve put a price on him, Woody should get it done. He is a big, big name.

Even if this happens (which is quite improbable) I don't understand how Pogba and Rooney would fit into the team. Pogba plays LCM and that's Rooneys new position.

One of them will have to switch to the right (RCM) which is not desirable considering that both have performed rather badly when played there or one of them will have to curb their attacking instincts while the other plays as a 10.

Unless Jose is planning to drop Rooney, Pogba though a very good player, is not an absolute necessity. I think we need world class fast/creative players in attack (winger/ wing forward) , that's more of a pressing need than adding to our midfield.

I fear that with Zlatan Mkhi Pogba and Rooney we will have too many players that will just play in front of the opposition and Jose will end up facing the same problems against smaller teams that he faced at Chelsea during his second spell.

I don't think Madrid will pay the money this season. He's not a need for them. I think Hazard is though and that's where their money will go. It's either stay at Juve or move to United. There's no challenge at Juve and so I think it's on. I really do.

Real bought Kaka and Ronaldo at the same time...they dont give a f.

That would be absolutely crazy if we get him.

When has "need" ever been an option for Madrid? They dont sign players based on need but rather on fame/reputation. And why Hazard? They are not getting him to play him as a #10. It wont work. Ronaldo is occupying his position currently and is showing no signs of slowing down.

Only £65m? Bit of a bargin considering we forked out £59m for Di Maria.

It appears that United now also have a clear run at signing Pogba if they can agree a deal with Italian champions Juventus. Real Madrid, it is understood, have, along with Manchester City, stepped aside because of the fees being demanded for the 23-year-old midfielder.

Real were prepared to go as high as £60 million for Pogba but sources close to Juventus suggested yesterday that United had already offered £80 million for their former player.

It appears that United may even be prepared to go substantially higher to secure the France international, which would mean breaking the world transfer record set when Gareth Bale signed for Real for £86 million. Pogba himself is believed to be content to stay at Juventus but the club may feel United’s offer is too good to refuse.

Cant get drawn into the numbers game because every source will have a different number. As long as we put in a concrete offer, Im happy.

I know Madrid are foolish with money and like new toy's but there are limits. Their midfield is fine, I think, but who knows. I do think they'll want Hazard sooner or later. I think Ronaldo will eventually move to CF and Hazard would be ideal either behind him or either side of him in attack.
