Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Woody, king of the lowball bid. It is his knack for business that made us pay only £27 million for Fellaini, after all.

If Madrid want pogba they will get him .
if they don't want him then I'm sure we have a chance .
I hope Madrid sign hazard instead of I'm being honest .

This stinks of all the other failed attempts if I'm honest. I just can't see it happening.

I just hope we don't invest all our time into this for us to be caught short come the season start without anyone!

You really believe we only concentrate on one player at a time?

I saw the article when it mentioned Pogba, it does seem to have changed back though.

I'm starting to think that we're going to make a very expensive signing. No idea who, but just a feeling I get after Zlatan and Mkhitaryan have seemingly been wrapped up (to go along with Bailly). I think we'll spend the next two months chasing a potentially world record breaking signing. It could very well be Pogba.

I think we've got 2 more signings left in us. Pogba or an alternative and a versatile fullback.

We'll then let a couple of first teamers go.

I'm trying to convince myself there's no chance of this happening and not get my hopes up, but Zlatan arriving has put me in full on muppet mode. It's happening!

There is obviously something in it but I'm leaning towards agreeing with you on that we have been down this road for far too many times. We should have a credible alternative like LVG had Blind on ice when we were after Vidal in 2014. You are right that our CM options are either aging or poor so we do need an injection of quality badly.

Of course not?

But holding off buying alternatives most likely does happen.

Well yeah, but we'll have the alternatives lined up. It's only natural we'll go for the biggest targets first. Buying an alternative if Pogba is still available will send the wrong messages to him.

You think its likely? I don't...

Plus there's the fee. You could arguably spend the money on 2-3 quality players and improve the team more.

We want the player? Check
We're willing to pay a lot of money to get him? Check
No one else willing to pay the same? Check
Juventus willing to sell at the right price? Check
Player willing to come? Check

What could go wrong?

Haha. To be fair that one was a bit of a drop off in quality.

I would think that's very debatable. Sounds more like Mino is having to try and convince him of the project (ugh).

Oh God, the Vidal thread flashbacks :(

It certainly was but he has his uses and played an important role on helping us finish fourth. We were never going to get anyone as good as Vidal considering that a) he was the best at what he did then and b) it was so late in the window.

As much as I cant see it actually happening, wouldnt this be the best time for Juve to sell, as in ever command a bigger price? 23, euro tournament but not really pulling up trees in it etc

He's the reason I reckon United never went all out for Sanches.
Maybe, the problem is that we can spend the summer trying to sign Pogba while other teams sign realistic midfielders like Pjanic, Gundogan, Renato Sanches, Kante, Krychowiak, among others. And at the end we could end up with an average midfielder instead of Pogba.

For £65m we should be all over him. Everyone was worried we would spend close to £100m. When compared to that this amount aint bad.

He is coming. I can feel it. I called it two weeks ago when I said this is going to be cafe's saga this summer. But this time it will end well. We will get our target.

I'm beginning to think this may realistically happen. Make no mistake Pogba is taking notice of the "project" and sees that we have a world class manager in Mourinho and have now added Zlatan and Micky. Star players and managers attract other stars, we now have pull again.

Woodward has had enough of mediocre and is doubling down the chips.

Go big or go home woody!!
