Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

I'm still skeptical and will be until I see that he's actually signed. However, this talk of all these better players in his position is weird. there are zero remotely available CM's who are at his level besides Pogba. Kroos is going nowhere, neither are Verratti or Iniesta. Outside of those guys you'd be hard pressed to find a midfielder as good as Pogba, so if we got him, it'd be a huge deal.

He's having it in America I've heard, that's where he is now and it's the only way they can get him signed, there's no way anyone would spend €145 or whatever it is without a medical
He will have his medical in Manchester like every other player that we sign which i said to start with i didn't say he won't have any medical. As for u have heard who from pogba.

I thought Di Marzio's tweet suggested 48 hours = end of Friday? Don't we have 36!?

You do realise Di Marzio is not the guy who is signing Pogba. He is merely reporting what he thinks will happen....not what will happen, exactly according to a strict timetable.
Maybe we will buy Pogba this week or maybe next week. One think Di Marzio has stated is that he believes Pogba will be a MUFC player this Summer. He has not waivered on this.

Yes the redcaf math is very weird

12 hours ago Di Marzio tweeted the deal would be concluded in 48 hours but now somehow we have only 12 hours left

If all that stuff had changed since this alleged breakthrough in the negotiations then I reckon it would be a very big hint about a done dealio but a picture with a filter that makes his outfit/car look cool? Bit of a stretch IMO.

They (Juve) did change theirs with the new kit release photo's which did not include Pogba - again, massive straw clutching - but they must be quietly confident he is leaving , whether its to us or not i don't know..

Pretty sure he said COULD. Could be done in 48 hrs - meaning it could be announced in an hour - though unlikely. I wouldn't put a set time on it else some people will go all lemming again. You never say would if you do his job - you say could because that gives you leeway.

Actually said Should which is kinda inbetween.

The title means there's 12 hours left if we're going to get an update today, not 12 hours left to sign Pogba....

Also funny how 12 hours without an update, and the "not going to happen" crew are suddenly all popping up again...

Yeah I edited. Should is confident but not as absolute as would :) Just for folks who might panic at the sight or idea of a countdown.

This thread has always gone off what Di Marzio said, and multiple Italian outlets followed his tweet of 48 hours to go. Check the threadmarks if you doubt his credibility here.

If he wasn't reasonably sure the deal would be concluded within 48 hours, he wouldn't tweet it. Same goes for the multiple outlets that followed his thoughts.

Are we really counting down the hours off of Di Marzio's tweet?

Come on lads for feck sake.

Our squad is going to be ridiculously strong for this season.
Our first team is solid but our squad has many wishy washy players. Also our defence is largely questionable. Smalling is very capable but has a lot to improve on. Bailly is still fairly unproven. Shaw needs to recover from a massive injury and RB is still an issue unless Fosu Mensah can push on. If we get Pogba then we will have many options in Midfield if we include young lads like Peireira. We have depth from midfield upwards.

So you believe that Di Marzio knows the exact time table of the Pogba signing?
Are you serious?

So what do you want people to do? Wallow in some kind of self pity because he hasn't signed before August?

It's not the first comment I've read on here regarding this. People seem to have a problem with optimism and happiness here.
No I've been hurt before, I just find it hard opening up (whilst turning away with hand to my head) :wenger:

Why thread title says 12 hours to go? There are still about 31 hours to go.

I believe he wouldn't report the likelihood of the deal being done in 48 hours if he wasn't reasonably sure.

I'm serious.

Its quite common for journalists to be briefed, and when it comes from the mouthpiece of Raiola, we should take it seriously.

Gotta love the addictive muppetry abuse effects!

One positive tweet elevates the euphoria. He's ours. Cocks out. After 6-12 hours withdrawal symptoms begin to hit. Negativity comes out. After 12-24 hours withdrawal symptoms at their worst. He's off to Madrid, nice to know you. Muppets have nervous break down.
New positive tweet comes out and the cycle restarts.

Can we please replace the thread title with a large count down clock.
